Have they removed Jose Aldo from the UFC rankings after the last fight or was he not ranked before that fight?
If he's indeed in the contract renewal talks with the UFC, they should probably keep him ranked until he signs up with another organisation or if the new contract negotiations fall through.

This is an interesting fight, they are fighting in the heavyweight class and of course we can see how the fight is full of very hard punches, I sure the fight will not have much action because it is like other heavyweight fights which are dominated by punches.
Derrick Lewis is UFC heavyweight fighter who has the record for the most knockouts and he is ranked 12th in the UFC heavyweight class, it is clear that his fight with Nascimento could be fierce fight because Derrick Lewis will definitely try to get knockout victory.
But on the other hand, Rodrigo Nascimento himself is pretty good fighter and during his time with the UFC in the heavyweight class he only got 1 losse, though he hasn't really had many fights with the UFC.
Difference between the two is in terms of experience and Derrick Lewis has had many fights and he even has experience with Bellator MMA and this could make Derrick Lewis the favorite in the fight against Rodrigo Nascimento.
I for remain confident in Rodrigo Nascimento to win this fight and I will make him the favorite later to have some fun and put little money on the line.

Aldo is retired and just came back because the UFC wanted him to fight in their card in Brazil. Aldo indeed is big name in Brazil and can bring more viewers of the event. It's also said that he's got 1 fight left in his UFC contract when he retired so it's just being used. So Aldo is not ranked prior to that fight. Aldo still showed that he is still capable of winning but I hope he retires. I wonder if the UFC offers him a new contract or if Aldo is interested. There are rumors of Aldo interested in boxing exhibitions.

Havent seen Lewis for a while. Last thing we have discussed here is him cutting weight, being slim and loosing power. That was probably year ago. Lewis isnt showing great results lately. Somehow he still manages to keep record for most KOes in UFC, but parallel he looses his fights. He and Nascimento are on the bottom of the top. Previously, when Lewis fought, people were fond to see his fights. But now, like I've said, UFC are in trap after UFC 299-300 events, because it is hard to keep card on same level. People want more, bigger, better, names. But a lot of people consider latest events as boring

And his losses are vs tough guys except for the Spivak one which was sketchy.  But still no shame in losing to guys like Gane, Pav and Almeida.  The Tuivasa one was kinda sketchy too but that guy hits like a truck.

Anyway here's a fight replay of Ruziboev vs Dumas.  The looked solid in his first couple of matches in the UFC.  But his opponents weren't really that good. His next match up vs Buckley will show us if this guy really got the goods.  My pick is Buckley but it feels iffy.  This guy could be legit.

They were impressed by Aldo's last fight. If it isn't so much, an Aldo vs Conor 2 will make loads for Dana after Chandler's fight. This time they will give their audience a whole 3 rounds of exchange.

Derick is almost 40 and with a series of losses but he is the fave of the bookies while Nascimento seems perfectly capable of giving Derrick a hard time with his grappling. Not to mention he is younger. But Derrick is hard to submit. Hope to see a KO.

Conor can't even make weight for the lightweight (155 pounds) so he and Chandler will be fighting in Welterweight (170 pounds). I chuckled at the idea of him going back down to bantamweight to face Aldo. Although, if given a chance to fight McGregor, Aldo would likely accept to fight in any weight class. But that won't happen.
Even if Conor loses to Chandler (which he will), he would still have much better options than Jose. I don't think Aldo is that exciting to people outside of his native Brazil.

I think the odds are fair for this one. Usually, we'd see bookies favouring younger fighters but Nascimento doesn't impress with his skills and style. His record looks OK (11-1) but only has 2 KOs, compared to Derrick's 22. And I don't think Nascimento will be able to take and hold Lewis down to submit him, so the fight is likely to end up by KO (most likely) or go to distance (a bit less likely). Derrick is still more dangerous in the stand up, so that's why he's the favourite here.

I thought he had already quit and wanted to retire but again he has a fighter soul ready to take on any challenge after that Fiasco he did against Jailton Almeida by not moving and not retaliating against Jailton Almeida's position for sure there is a good reason behind that because we all know he doesn't want to gas out because of Jailton Almeida's pressure from the ground but it was one of the boring fights where both don't really do anything other than staying down, which fans don't wanted to see, for me I don't want to see that fight again.

Yep! This could be a walk in the park for Derrick Lewis and Rodrigo Nascimento is not that special to me he doesn't have that strong punching power, and I don't see him having much ground game or some takedown defense for sure this fight could also become a brawl and Derrick Lewis will be the lethal one inside the octagon if these two meet, but I think Derrick Lewis could think this through and could make up with a fast knock out, but I will still do some little research for this fight to make my final analysis.

For sure a lot of fans that want that fight means a lot of money that fight will rack up for Jose Aldo needs to increase his weight as this is going to be for Conor McGregor again, as McGregor now has a different weight than before if Jose Aldo could not meet that expectation then I think McGregor VS Chandler is still a good shot, I think because of the Age of Aldo now he will have a difficult time adjusting to that weight class.

UFC heavyweight roster is so messed up That is why UFC need such guys as Lewis to stay longer (that is speaking about his age and possible retirement). Heavyweight roster badly needs fresh blood.  Right now, Jones Jones with 0 title defences and being a champ for 429 days raises a lot of question for me and for those who dont know the whole story about him. In the past, for me it was more interesting to keep an eye on heavyweights. Now its Aspinal, Gane (where is he now?), Pavlovich and the rest. Aaahh, and yeah, Bones who fought only 2 minutes during last 4 years. What is Bones busy with now? Does he has a different job (imagine he is a bookkeeper and now is busy doing annual balance and passing audit, that is why he isnt fighting), but UFC was like a hobby for him?

Are there some reasons why he can't get ripped enough to fight in the lightweight? His work ethic is insane and from what I have seen from his past cuts, he definitely managed to lost almost every muscle, fat and water to reach 145 pounds. By the way, it would be very painful to make a weight for 155 pounds at the age of 35.
He won't be able to win against Chandler unless this is a fixed match. The man was having parties, drinking and using drugs. After Conor fought Dustin Poirier, he said that since he has abandoned MMA for a while, things automatically became hard for him. Despite the fact that he was once a good fighter, even if you stop for a year, the fighter who didn't stop that year will outperform you.

Knowing Jones, chances that he will fcuk up and do something stupid are higher than chances he will return this year I am not in Jones fan club, so I dont want for his return, not expect anything from it. For me, it seems that he will be looking for easy fight, for big cheque, for special contract. So he will get something like old Stipe, finish him in first rounds and disappear for few years again to chill with his millions. Why UFC will give him Stipe? Because of big name. Why not Aspinal, Pavlovich? Because they can win, and if they win, UFC milking cow can be send to burgers.

I've lost the track on recent heavyweight affairs. I thought the fight with Miocic got pushed back and it's a done deal. But then we have Jones asking fans on twitter who should he be fighting next (Aspinall or Alex Pereira), so I don't know.
All I know is Tom should just ignore Jones if he doesn't want to fight him, and move on. The best fight for him would be Alex Pereira if they allow him to move up, other than that, Cyril Gane could be a good fight. In the meantime, Pavlovich should get a fight or two, and if he does well, we could see Aspinall Vs Pavlovich 2.

Cutting weight is risky though, riskier for Conor, especially on short notice becuase brain dehydration is the first to be affected, and wouldn't recover fast even after drinking a barrel of water the night before the fight. But they could ask for 6 months as well like the preparation for Chandler's fight.

A rematch with Aldo would still be a huge money to be made. After Aldo won in Rio, several fighters expressed their interest in fighting him including Sean Omalley. Win or lose this is a big opportunity for Aldo and for whoever he fights.

Yup, I've heard that reduced brain fluid makes you way more prone to getting knocked out. But I don't think Conor will be put in position that he has to make a massive weight cut. He's not chasing after the belt anyway and if he'll have any fights after the Chandler one, they would all be big-money fights (if his hype doesn't die out), so whoever gets to fight him, will have to accept weight limits that McGregor is comfortable with. Just like we see with Chandler.

I don't know. Maybe it's just me not being huge fan of Aldo, in fact, he wasn't on my radar until he suffered that humiliating defeat to Conor, but I can easily name at least 5 other fights that would be much more interesting than Aldo.
