LOL, a test match cannot be turned into a T20 format for the audience. Looking at the weather for next two days, it seems no match would be possible. I know that it is not possible to play during a Test match, it was a suggestion from me, when two days are lost and it is sure that we will not be able to see a result then there is no point in playing the match further and they need to play a T20 match to entertain the crowd as they have spent money for the ticket and the shorter format is improvised and we can do that if there is no rain in the next two days.

Not really, anything can change in no time so both team have to play their test innings which also can entertain the audience because they came here to watch test test match not T20,so they have to keep playing until end of the day 5 no matter whatever the result will be. I still remember lot of test match which has only result to be drawn but both team were playing naturally as any other matches.

Anyone still interested in the two ongoing test matches? The first one was washed out (Pakistan vs Sri Lanka). With two days remaining, I am 100% sure that it will end up in a draw. The other test match (NZ vs Australia) is turning out to be an one sided affair with New Zealand trailing by 307 runs with just 5 wickets remaining. Mitchell Starc broke the backbone of New Zealand batting lineup. And this same Mitchell Starc was dropped by stupid Australian selectors during the Ashes series.

For the first match: I am also believing that it will be end in a draw because its day 3 stumps but still they have to play 3 and half innings to get a result for this match which is highly impossible. Where as the second match, anything can happen in the remaining three days but as far as now AUS looks strong.

I agree with you mate, I was saying that Strac should be playing when the Ashes series was on while others in here were saying that he hasn't been in good form. Strac is in Australia's top 2 fast bowlers and should be playing every match. It showed once again why he is one of the best fast bowlers in the world as he has ripped through New Zealand. I was thinking that Australia were taking too long at batting but it looks like it might pay off as they have New Zealand on the ropes right now and surely we won't see another Australia victory with an innings and runs.

Starc and Cummins are the top bowlers for Australia right now and it was surprising to see the selectors dropping Starc in favor of bowlers such as Hazlewood and Pattinson during the Ashes series. Although I don't have anything against either Hazlewood or Pattinson, these bowlers lack the raw pace that Starc possess. And you need 1-2 such bowlers in your squad, to intimidate the opposition. The match is not as one sided as the one against Pakistan. But even then, I won't be surprised if New Zealand loses this match by an innings. They are still trailing by more than 300 runs and the last recognized pair is at the crease. Very disappointing from New Zealand, after their series victory against one of the big 3 sides (England) last month.

More or less the match between SL vs Pakistan is not going to be interesting as just 2 days of play is left and still complete 3 innings to bat is pending . So result is going to be draw itself as rain might come again and halt the match.

I think no one in interested in watching the Srilanka & Pakistan match because the match is actually not happening and delayed by rain everyday. The other match between NZ and Aus also not being of any interest, as it look like NZ will lose by an innings if they continue to play like this. They still need more than 100 runs to avoid the follow-on with only 5 wickets remaining.

You may be talking in international prospective but being a local audience, all of our country people are willing to see our team perform in our home ground. Since the Pakistan Men test match is going to be delayed again because of the rain, i decided to watch the ICC women championship between PAK-W and Eng-W but to my disappointment that match is also stopped and delayed because of rain.

You can watch the woman's match online? if so do share the link where i can watch that without too much irritating advertisement. New Zealand lost one more wicket and Grandhomme is accompanying Taylor right now and it looks like they will be forced to follow on as Australia is bowling really well but with the injury of Hazlewood, Starc and Cummins had to shoulder all the attack and it is possible that they will get tried and even if they have the opportunity to follow on, will the captain decide to play further to give some rest to their bowlers if not the bowlers will be exhausted and they will be forced to bowl the part timers to give some rest.

New Zealand all out for 166 runs and they did not enforce the follow on and it might be because Australia have a one bowler shot and they need to have a good healthy lead of 350 runs which they really do not need to fold the New Zealand batting line up but i think they are giving rest to their bowlers by coming out to bat and it is a good decision by the Australian captain.

I don't like the Aussie skipper not talking the follow on. He would have won the match with an innings to spare and that is termed as a big win in Test Cricket. If they want to do a batting practice, that's a separate thing but why prolong a match which can be finished in 3.5 days easily. Now how much lead will they take before declaring. 500 or even more?

Good read on Misbah's short stint as a head coach and selector for Pakistan. tl;dr : selection of Umar Akmal and Ahmad shehzad against SL. followed by Mohammed Irfan- Usman Qadir and now dropping Yasir shah. Recall Umar Akmal? Drop Mohammad Abbas? What was Misbah-ul-Haq thinking! Now how much lead will they take before declaring. 500 or even more?
2 scenario. declare today or declare tomorrow. declaring tomorrow looks logical to me but who knows what Aussie captain is thinking and might do. Still 25+ overs left today so if Australia makes 80-90 runs then their score would be around 440-455 end of the 3rd day. then we have 2 more days to go and declaring on 450 runs can be tricky gamble if by any chance Kiwis batsmen gets set ( if it happens then there is good chance of NZ win or good contest, i would say) so Australia might want to bat one more session tomorrow or waste some time and add 100-130 runs on the scoreboard. after that they have 1 full day and 2 session to get NZ out with 550-580 runs on the scoreboard.

Right now they are leading by 391 and 17 overs left so I am feeling they will bat today and tomorrow for touching 500+ and then give batting to New Zealand as still plenty of time left in this match and Aussies bowlers can take ten wickets without any problem in 3 or 4 sessions. edit: Labuschagne out on fifty and now Smith on crease. New Zeland bowlers have no place to go.

I am now confused why the Australian captain is not declaring the innings, when Warner was batting at 300 plus he declared the innings even with plenty of time left and now the Australia is leading over 400 runs and still they are not planning to declare the innings and they have a bowler short and they need to bowl 30 plus overs and try to pick the maximum wickets and the bowlers will get a good rest and then they will finish off the match the next day, but they are still playing with 6 wickets down .

I don't like the Aussie skipper not talking the follow on. He would have won the match with an innings to spare and that is termed as a big win in Test Cricket. The decision to bat was to give the bowlers some rest as Hazlewood is injured and Starc and Cummins had to lead the bowling attack and then there is Lyon to hold one end and they need some rest as they cannot keep on bowling as they will get injured if they are not getting any rest and the decision not to enforce the follow on is understandable but they would have declared the innings a bit earlier to give a few overs before stumps rather than batting the rest of the day.
