^^ Truth to be told, no one can deny that ICC treat BCCI as its biggest cash cow and they are keep coming with more policy such as ICC tournament every year which leads to Media rights war etc. not to mention petty threats of "Give us X amount of money or lose the hosting rights of 2023 WC"  they want to earn money in India but don't want to pay taxes which is around 30 M.

First BCCI share was around 500ish million but later it was fixed around 400ish million and now again some share cuts in the process. India is big country and how BCCI is supposed to keep up if its funds keep going down, if such quackery continues then i am sure BCCI going to put its foot down at some point. then ICC can enjoy and do whatever they want.

Sourav Ganguly became the chief of BCCI. I'm so happy after such a long time.

He has changed the way India team use to play cricket before his leadership and after he became captain India started to win the test matches and series abroad as well and he has supported his team mates and got the best from them. Hopefully he will continue as a chief of BCCI too.

Don't know much about the BCCI, ICC revenue share issues, so I'm am not going to comment on them.  But I am happy to see BCCI headed by Ganguly, hope he takes India further beyond.

While the Indian Squad for the upcoming Test series and T20 series with Bangladesh have been announced, there has been no announcement regarding the test squad from the BCB, Only the t20 squad has been announced. Does that mean the players strike which started a few days back, ended and that the tour will be played as planned?

Being the captain of the Indian team is one thing, and heading the BCCI is another. The latter is going to be a much more difficult task. There are several factions within the BCCI, and each of these cabals are being supported by powerful political groupings. For Sourav Ganguly, it is going to be a very tough task to please all of these groups. 

I am sure Sourav Ganguly will be a better leader than the rest even in his role as BCCI president, he will show his administrative skills in the coming years and he will bring some changes in India which will help cricket and he might give importance in developing the younger generation of players.

I don't like him, but I gotta say that he is a really smart man who knows how to attract people through his words and actions. No wonder he keeps getting re-elected with the majority in his favor.

I am not into politics nor like the way things are handle and the way in which Modi and his party is attracting people is by religious polarization. People will not understand the economic slowdown and crisis unless it will hit them hard and we are about to face those situation and after that everyone will understand.

That may be true. I read recently that India is currently facing some an economic slowdown and there are not enough jobs being created leading to a spike in the unemployment rates across India. Hopefully, this will change soon.

There are no ODI scheduled for this tour, it is strange to see that only Test match and T20 are being played in the series, to revive Test cricket the ICC is doing many things including day night matches and if they are neglecting ODI then there will be a time the ICC will plan to revive the ODI interest among the masses. , A couple of ODI will not be a bad idea as i like ODI cricket than the other formats of cricket.

The Bangladesh players should be cautious here. Look at what happened to the Sri Lankans last time. Many of their senior players refused to play in Pakistan due to safety reasons. And therefore they sent a squad, that was primarily composed of youngsters. But they performed beyond all expectations in Pakistan and now many of these senior players are finding that their slots are under threat. The Bangladeshi players should not make the same mistake. If they refuse to play, then obviously the BCB will pick players from the B team or the U19 team.

If the Bangladesh board can find new talents it is good for the team .

It was turned into a national issue, you know cricket is one of the emotic place for us. A lot of unexpected events had happened in Bangladeshi Politics within last couple of months. It's just another issue mixed of both the political and the benefit of the players. I may not make you understand, the condition here is being worst day by da.
Anyway, BCB has decided to go with the demand of the players and hence, no more issue. Everyone will play other than Tamim.

As posted by Little Mouse above, the issue has been resolved and the senior players will turn up for the series against India. So we may not witness a repeat of all the drama and turmoil that the Sri Lankans experienced before their tour of Pakistan. Anyway we can't compare the two disputes, as the first one was over wages and the second one over security issues.

It is true that the Pakistan series gave the Sri Lankan selectors an opportunity to test new talent. And some of them (especially Wanindu Hasaranga and batsmen such as Shehan Jayasuriya) performed so well during that tour, that they found a permanent place in the senior side. No such possibility here, as the issues have been resolved. Anyway, my feeling is that against a strong side such as India, it will be better to go with the tried and tested.

Increasing the salaries/allowances and other demands seem to be enforceable. But, have the current committee members of CWAB resigned? Because that was on top of their demands. Or did the players didn't press it too much when their other demands were met?

Nope. Based on my research, none of the committee members resigned. The players were clearly expecting too much which is why they were satisfied with the 50% pay hike which is the best decision in my opinion.

I think the legal action initiated against Shakib has nothing to do with him playing in the T20 series. The only change that I know of is Tamim Iqbal being replaced by Imrul Kayes and saifuddin being ruled out because of injury

The BCB thinks that Shakib Al Hasan was the mastermind behind the recent player protests. The board had to give in to most of the demands made by the players, as they had to finalize the team for the India tour. Shakib reportedly signed a deal with a local telecom company named "Grameenphone", which the BCB claims is in violation to the central contract clauses.

Nazmul Hasan (BCB president) seems to be very unhappy with Shakib and he looks very much decided to make life hell for Shakib. The issue here is that Robi Axiata Limited (DBA Robi) has been the title sponsor of the Bangladesh cricket team for the past few years, and they happen to be a rival of Grameenphone. The BCB has enough justifications at their hand.

BTW, the wages for domestic cricketers in Bangladesh is set to rise by 100% as per the deal reached between BCB and the players.

I thought they will avoid Shakib Al Hasan from the team because of the legal actions the cricket board is going to take, he is the best player in the team and even if Shakib Al Hasan violated their contract and if he is excluded because of that the general public will voice their opinion against the cricket board and it will put pressure on them, so what are the restrictions and legal actions they are planning against him .

It is strange to see that the players are striking against the cricket board, we have seen fights from the West Indies players and the cricket board did not listen to their demands and hence many players were not playing for sometime as they selected players who are not contracted with them and hence it is noted that the BCB agreed to their demands it looks like we will see further strikes to bend to their demands in the future.

Not sure where you got this information from. I found out that there would be a 50% pay hike to 1st class players through the link that I shared above.

I think the board is only seeking compensation for the deal signed and the losses that the board will incurr due to the personal deal. Though I am still not sure if they will not retain due to contract breach? Will they.
