If they are playing really well in the T20 format, they will not be able to play well in the test format. If they try to do that, that will make them perform badly in both of the formats. There is a reason why big teams have different squads for different formats of cricket. West Indies is not a very good team when it comes to the test format and compared to them England is far better. I am not expecting West Indies to even win a single match in the test format against England.

Placed a bet on the Windies but I think the opening match would go to England because it's a farewell match for Jimmy and England will not try to ruin the moment.

Also, if we go by the usual script then he should get a bag of wickets on seaming lord's Wicket and if it's overcast then it's icing on the cake. It could potentially give him a dream final outing.

England going with new generation blood in this format which is good for them but still they need to work on their domestic system which is now failed to produce the best test playing cricketers even I have feeling at home they can beat all teams other than India and Australia but now in last one decade we are having decline into their quality and performance which is huge setback for them with now their main focus is on twenty/20 and The Hundred which is having better option for them to have finances, but their county system still can give them good support.

I was expecting James Anderson will be available until end of the 2025 English season, but now English selectors are feeling not comfortable so we have forced Retirement for this legendary all-time best figured fast bowler hopefully before retirement he will be able to have second spot in all time wicket takers ranking.

Today was the second day of the test match between Sri Lanka Under-19s and England under 19s, which was finished and today we have seen nothing due to rain while yesterday also the rain disrupted the match. 

However, I think the Sri Lanka team will give a good target before finishing the innings or all out or declare but let’s see what will happen.
I think the match will not finish fully and will end without a result becaue the weather in Wormsley is not good as well in the upcoming days too. I hope the match will happen but the weather does not allow us to see this match.

Bairstow was their first choice WK in SENA countries and Foakes was preferred in spin condition, one is having terrible form with the bat and the next guy is an exceptional keeper but can't bat with the tail confidently so management needs someone new badly.

We have seen that the West Indies team have lost their three early wickets which is not good for the West Indies team. Kraigg Brathwaite played most worst inning in this match as he wasted too many balls and made just 6 runs, this is not good innings by the captain.
Being a captain he needed to play well, but this time Alick Athanaze ,Mikyle Louis and Kavem Hodge played comparatively well but no one was able to make any partnerships. Overall a disappointing start from WI in this match.
