West Indies outstanding performance chase down the target 326 runs in loss of 6 wickets in 48.5 over and won the match by 4 wickets against England. From England Rehan Ahmed bowl well picked 2 Crusial wickets by giving 40 runs in 10 overs. The Player of the Match is Shai Hope from west Indies for his amazing hundred runs 109 unbeaten in just 83 balls. I think England will chage his bowling line add some qulaity spinner and fast bowlers to comeback in the next match against West Indies.

England performance overall was very bad in the ICC World Cup. I was no expecting that England will go above 300 runs. But they made 325 runs that was a quite good target which they given to the West Indies.
I really surprised to see the performance of West Indies which wasn't qualified in the ICC World Cup but it was good in the yesterday match. Especially the wicket keeper and the Captain of the West Indies team who played well in this match and made 109 runs. I am talking about Shai Hope. He is player of the match too.
That was a great match. Congratulations to West Indies team. Two matches are remaining of this series let's hope West Indies will perform like that continuously.

I mentioned in a previous post on ODI Cricket that if West Indies' two players Shai Hope and Shimron Hetmyer can be set on the pitch then they can win the match. Both of them made good contributions in yesterday's match. Shai Hope scored an unbeaten 109 off 83 balls in the last match. His final finishing was impressive. They were under pressure in the last two overs of the match but Shai Hope brought them out of that situation. He also managed to score a century. Along with him, Shimron Hetmyer also gave a good innings of 32 runs off 30 balls. The West Indies team is definitely hoping that they will enter the cricket again in a new approach.

West Indian team obviously is a good team . Their players played very well and upseted England. England is a good team but West Indian team played very well in last match . West Indies team did not qualify for ICC World cup 2023 but this was big victory for West Indies. West Indian team was nothing when Chris Gayle and Pollard took retirement but now this team is becoming strong.
West Indian team did not make partnership but in previous match they played excellent . 325 score was a big score but Shai hope century changed the luck of West  Indian team.

If England's batsmen could have bowled a little better, the West Indies batsmen would have been under a lot of pressure. 2023 World Cup England could not bat or bowl very well their performance was very poor. And then they sent a second string team to West Indies. None of the first-choice bowlers (Chris Woakes, Mark Wood, Ollie Robinson.etc) were included in the squad and quite predictably their bowling attack struggled against the West Indian batsmen. The batsmen put up a very competitive total at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua, but the bowlers couldn't defend it. Rehan Ahmed had a good outing though (10-0-40-2). 

A team like England has been beaten by a team that didn't qualify for the World Cup. I'm not belittling West Indies because they didn't qualify for the World Cup but we expected better from a team like England. England is a team that has performed very badly in this World Cup. It would be wrong to consider England as the worst performing team in this World Cup because England have performed very poorly in this World Cup. After India's poor performance in the World Cup, I was waiting for them to come back in the West Indies series but they failed to come back in the West Indies series. England lost the first match against West Indies by a big margin of four wickets. England batsmen gave a big target to the West Indies batsmen but the English bowlers failed to bowl economically due to which West Indies lost the first match.

West Indies team is not weak. The main problem of their team was that the performance of the players was very erratic. This team has a lot of talented players. But due to irregular performance, the team failed to qualify for the World Cup.

England's performance has been very poor since the start of the World Cup. And yet in the event of any improvement in the team's performance. England set a huge target of 326 runs against West Indies. But because of the bad performance of the bowlers, the England team had to be defeated in this match as well. Experienced bowlers like Sam Curran gave away 98 runs in 9.5 overs. Brydon Carse also scored a lot of runs. England need more improvement in bowling now.

If you have noticed the erratic performance of the West Indies players then you must have noticed why their performance is erratic. They have enough power hitting batsmen and good quality bowlers in their country but none of them want to play for the national team rather they are more interested in playing franchise tournaments only. The West Indies Cricket Board cannot pay the players properly as it is natural for the players to play cricket despite the decision of the cricket board when they get the opportunity to earn crores of rupees. If the West Indies Cricket Board had given salary allowances or perks like other teams then this team would have performed as before and not qualified for the World Cup but would have performed much better.

Nothing is going to take away the fact that West Indies is a team on the decline. A few months back, during the World Cup qualifiers they lost to Zimbabwe and Netherlands in the group phase and then went on to lose to Scotland in Super6. Defeating a second string England side, who themselves are not doing very good recently is not going to matter much.

Shai Hope played very well for West Indies for which West Indies went ahead in terms of runs before the end of 50 overs and West Indies won the match after crossing the target of 325 runs for 6 wickets with 7 balls to spare.  But I don't think they can win the second match either

Shai Hope was the man of the match of yesterday's match when he is came into the ground to stop the mouth of the England team. Their team was in an aggressive mood yesterday.

So, this performance proved that West Indies should participate in the World Cup and they are trying to do it but unfortunately, they can't win the qualifying rounds and lose their chance to be a part of that tournament, anyway, the tournament is finished but memories are not finished we will talk about the topic until the next World Cup will not come.

West Indies cricket board need to take some crucial steps to revive cricket in West indies. WI failed to qualify for ODI world cup and they are likely to miss upcoming champions trophy as well. The current series between WI and England is of very little importance as both teams are of same level. Still WI will do there best to win the series and keep there presence in international cricket.

I really missed the 2023 World Cup West Indies. West Indies have some great players and despite having such good players, they have lost the status to play in the 2023 World Cup. Many talented West Indies players have performed especially in the IPL in India. I think there is something wrong with the West Indies Cricket Board. There is nothing wrong with players playing in different leagues. Of course first of all they should prioritize their national team every player then cricket board will improve. Maybe because of this the West Indies Cricket Board has become stricter now due to which we have seen some great batting from West Indies against England. For example, even in India the top players receive around $2.5 million per year from the IPL franchises, while the national contract is worth only a fraction of that amount. Players are more interested in Leagues these days because of reasons you mentioned. Recently Haris Rauf refused to play test matches for Pakistan in Australia rather he will be playing BBL there. Currently if you check the squad of T10 League you will find many top west indies players.. This clearly show that West indies players have high demand in league. If IPL restrict WI players then I think all matches interest will be affected.

The main thing is to use these players wisely.. If same players can performance in the league then what is the reason they couldn't qualify for the world cup.. why their rank is going down despite of quality players.. These are the some questions which WI cricket board should think and make proper improvement.

Currently if you check the squad of T10 League you will find many top west indies players.. This clearly show that West indies players have high demand in league. If IPL restrict WI players then I think all matches interest will be affected.

The main thing is to use these players wisely.. If same players can performance in the league then what is the reason they couldn't qualify for the world cup.. why their rank is going down despite of quality players.. These are the some questions which WI cricket board should think and make proper improvement.

There are many other reasons such as the rivalry between the islands, and selection policy that is influenced by race and religion. And then WICB continues to be one of the most incompetent and corrupt cricket boards among all the full member nations. If these important players of West Indies had evaluated their national team first, maybe their team would not have been eliminated from the World Cup.. It is the fault of their players. Now maybe the West Indies Cricket Board has become very strict due to which we England vs West Indies match is a great performance West Indies team. The Australian captain was asked to play in the IPL last season but he did not express his interest to play in the IPL. The Australian captain was obsessed with playing for his national team which is why he did not agree to play in the IPL. Maybe we can see Australia captain in IPL this year.
