You will see West indies players everywhere in the league.. old players such as chris Gayle, Narine , Jason holder, pollard and many other are busy everytime with any league. Currently if you check the squad of T10 League you will find many top west indies players.. This clearly show that West indies players have high demand in league. If IPL restrict WI players then I think all matches interest will be affected.

The main thing is to use these players wisely.. If same players can performance in the league then what is the reason they couldn't qualify for the world cup.. why their rank is going down despite of quality players.. These are the some questions which WI cricket board should think and make proper improvement.

Proliferance of T20 (and T10) leagues is only one of the many reasons why the quality of West Indian cricket has gone down over the past two decades. There are many other reasons such as the rivalry between the islands, and selection policy that is influenced by race and religion. And then WICB continues to be one of the most incompetent and corrupt cricket boards among all the full member nations. The continuing emigration of West Indian youngsters to United States and European Union is not helping it either.

West Indies team players are highly rated in the franchise leagues as all the players in their team are known as heart hitters batting all over the world.
Today's result of West Indies team as far as I heard is that they don't get enough salary from their cricket board for which they are more inclined to franchise leagues instead of playing cricket in their country.
There was a time when players like Chris Gayle, Kieron Pollard, Bravo, Sunil Narine, Shivnarine Chandrapaul and Andre Russell played regularly in the West Indies team when most feared playing with the team.
The West Indies team is now so weak that they did not get a chance to play in the recently concluded 2023 World Cup while they are two-time world champions in ODI cricket.

West Indies won the first ODI match between West Indies and England by four wickets.
In this match England won the toss and batted first and they scored 325 runs for 10 wickets.
The West Indies team collected 326 runs for six wickets after coming down to the batting with a target of 326 runs given by England.For the West Indies team, Shai Hope scored 109 runs in just 83 balls.

We have seen many legendary players who have represented West Indies but cricket lovers don't recognize those players through West Indies jerseys but through IPL. Australian players don't play half as many matches for the national team as they do in the IPL. IPL is one of the most popular franchise tournaments so a large number of people around the world enjoy this franchise tournament directly. Watching people learn one thing I believe that West Indies cricketers have given more priority to franchise tournaments so the next generation is also following the path of senior cricketers if any young talented player is offered to play franchise tournament they participate in all franchise tournaments except national team camp. From England Rehan Ahmed bowl well picked 2 Crusial wickets by giving 40 runs in 10 overs. The Player of the Match is Shai Hope from west Indies for his amazing hundred runs 109 unbeaten in just 83 balls. I think England will chage his bowling line add some qulaity spinner and fast bowlers to comeback in the next match against West Indies.

Tomorrow is the second ODI match between West Indies and England, they both are superb teams but England is better than West Indies according to all ICC rankings and playing but in reality, West Indies easily beat England in the last match of this series.

I hope that the results will come again the same as the results come in previous matches. Shai Hope is the main character in the previous match and in tomorrow's match people had very hopes with Shai Hope, which means Shai Hope is the hope of all West Indies, he can renew cricket in West Indies. I think this is a turning point for Shai Hope and of course for the West Indies Cricket.

But players are more interested in performing in various franchise leagues than performing in the national team. They benefit financially. This is the reason why we are seeing the performance of the West Indies national team deteriorating. But since the team failed to qualify for the last World Cup. So now maybe the West Indies management will be more aware about their squad. Perhaps we will see better performances from the West Indies squad in the future.

When I understood cricket roughly, I understood West Indies as a strong team at that time and now West Indies has become a team like Zimbabwe. Those players don't want to play for the national team who get called for various tournaments but those players play for the national team who don't get a chance to play any franchise tournament. Still there are many talented players in the West Indies team, if West Indies want to improve their cricket then they must increase the facilities of the players and spend money behind the players. With the increase in salary allowances, the players have to prioritize playing various franchise tournaments and organizing regular domestic series only if this team can get back to its former glory.

One of my favorite teams in T20 format is West Indies. This team is still very good in T20 format. At the same time, the West Indies players impressed the audience with excellent performances in the franchise leagues. But very few West Indies players want to perform in the national team jersey. West Indies Cricket Board should be strict on these issues now. There is a need to increase the salaries and benefits of the players. At the same time some strict rules are required. Furthermore if England lose today then I feel that the selectors may roll in changes because they’ll want England to immediately recover in this format.

First of all, the players are not being paid "peanuts". They are being paid handsomely but then they can't expect salaries at the level that the BCCI or the CA are paying their players. That being said, the players are being allowed to take part in various franchise T20 leagues and earn fat paychecks (something which boards such as BCCI doesn't allow their players to do). And let me be clear on one thing. The value of a player in different T20 leagues depends also on the performance of the national team. If the national team doesn't qualify for major ICC tournaments, then the players themselves get less exposure.

The West Indies Cricket Board was definitely tough on the cricketers and they made a rule that if any player went to play in the franchise tournament during the series they would be banned. Such a statement on behalf of the West Indies Cricket Board, in fact, the players of the West Indies team did not give importance to the matter, and without giving importance to the matter, the West Indies Cricket Board banned all the players from playing in the IPL. Every player in the team that got banned was a T20 specialist and a lot of hard hitter batsmen, basically having players like them banned from the team together had a bad effect on the team. Although West Indies lost to England in the first ODI match, their performances were very similar. And in the game both teams seem to be almost equally strong. England lost the first ODI match by four wickets. But seeing our first match, we cannot consider West Indies as a good team. England and playing cricket is very good so no doubt they can win matches too. So it is very difficult to say which team will win before the start of the game.  However, the activity of the team that bats later is better than that of the team that bats first. So it will depend on the toss which team will bat first and which team will bat later

Agreed about this after having target like this I was expecting win for the England because West Indian batting is not strong enough, but English bowlers were completely disappointing they fail to have anything even after having huge target from their batting line up now today we are going to have second match at same ground with most chances toss is going to have good impact chase is easy instead of having batting first.

Rehan Ahmad was the pick of bowlers from England side all others having good punishment from West Indian batting specially Shai Hope which is the most consistent bowler and Romário Shepherd done good job at the end for the winning team West Indies also needs to work on their bowling if they want to work on their strong comeback in cricketing world.

If they win today, then West Indies may get a rare win against one of the pig-3 sides. Remember that they recently lost ODI series against Ireland at home. But a rare win doesn't mean any long-term changes. West Indies is on decline, and my concern is that they will end up like Zimbabwe in another 5 years from now, if the trend continues. Now this all needs a good global debate between Boards and ICC with League organizers as well because if they will not sit on one platform things will be gone from bad to worse for them in coming years even I am not expecting anything positive from the ICC but still relative boards needs to work on this issue and sit with their players for the better future of their national teams otherwise we can expect things like this from many countries which ruin West Indian board.

BCCI and CA are the strongest boards which can handle this all by themselves and other boards are not having finances and strength like them, but they are looking for better and positive things which are important, hopefully all stakeholders will sit and bring better policies and rules for their own and bright future of this game.

Franchise cricket is a mutually beneficial setup. Let's not forget the fact that almost all the full-member nations do have their own franchise leagues (perhaps with the exception of New Zealand). And then, the IPL revenues (in the form of player release fee) is shared with the other cricket boards as well. When the cricket boards are benefitting from these leagues, it is wrong to harass the players for participating in such leagues. In the past, the CSA has put a lot of obstacles on South African players who wanted to participate in various leagues. Now the PCB is also following the same route. It will be a disaster for West Indian cricket, if the WICB follows the same approach.

If we compare the both teams from rankings wise so of course England is the winner because according to the ranking West Indies has a very poor ranking which is no. 10 and I think so that the no.10 ranking can win by 6 ranking but in the previous match, we have seen that ranking is doesn't matter and just performance is matter in the matches, and in the batting, West Indies have no any player who take place in the top 10 players, but on 11 position their captain Shai Hope takes place in the 11 positions on the ranking.
