Rw13enlib88: I have switched off gpu, so now I mine with two laptops, alltogether cca 12Kh/s. I think I'm alone now so it's chance to mine more blocks with CPU if you want. It will take some time few hours till diff drops cca 3-5x so that blocks are found quicker. Just hope no GPU starts mining in next 12 hours Smiley

Thanks but 700kh/s mining, someone come...

There are lots of GRCE to be mined by solo mining.

greececoin needs a pool, can a pool operator be kind enough to open one.

As I said consider the grce as an investment, if you could donate BTC for a bounty that would be great?

All coins which start from scratch have 0 value because usually are not traded on any exchange so we can't know what people are willing to pay for a coin. And GRCE is now like new reborn coin starting its new life. So the priorities now should be as follows:

1) Establish seed node
2) Get some miners and get added to some pool so that network starts working normally again. Pool can serve also as seed node if we agree with pool owner.
3) Get on some exchange, I would start with C-Cex.
4) Let's activate the website, there was already some in the past, so let's start it up after updating its content
5) Then let's play pump and dump games OR let's set some higher objectives like new air drop for greek citizens. Grin But first let's see on exchange what the value of this coin could be.

But seriously: dev should present his ambitions because I'm not sure why he decided to open pandora's box and restart this coin. It's a mystery for me and I like mysterious coins. Smiley (see MysteryCoin haha) Dev, are you going to fulfill what is written or ANN page or was it all fulfilled already? Because if not, then ANN page needs to be revised and updated in first place. It must be obvious that without any clear roadmap no pool owner will waste their resources just because you returned back after a half year without saying to community why. Smiley

I do agree but i will not update the ANN at this moment because i am leaving the 'Air Drop' as an example to what can be done to people who don't know. It is like the start off a new coin but just because i hold the premine coins it doesn't mean i can pull everything out of my hat all at once and have a successful coin trading on multiple platforms and miners filling up pools etc. Things take time and it would be good if more people could join and help with the project even if is just sending a pm to a pool operator. I do thank you for the work some individuals have contributed so far.

First lets get a pool and block explorer.

The price of the bounty is irrelevant at this moment, a pool operator is going to have to be kind to open a pool so lets find one.

What exactly you mean by that, I don't understand.

Well, that was how i started to conduct the original air drop, the new air drop will be different but people can still refer to the opp as an example of what an air drop is

This message is for a miner with over 15Mh rig or asic. If you want to mine this coin, please keep mining nonstop or decrease speed or leave because you come here just for 1-2 hours everyday and you kill the network for next 24 hours. The diff jumps x10 and it goes down very slowly. The KGW retargeting is not good here. So why don't you slow down speed to max 500kh/s and the network is stable and you will mine the same amount of blocks as with over 15Mh. There are just 3 miners currently, me, YOU and the other guy with some 3Kh/s CPU. And you are killing it all. So either stop mining this coin completely or adopt to current "emergency" mode. Otherwise all your quickly mined coins you can dump to toilet if everybody leaves this coin not being able to mine a shit when the DIFF stays too high.

Can Greececoin be mined from the wallet?

It is Scrypt but because the difficulty is so low you can mine it from your wallet but as soon as someone puts a good gpu on it the difficulty is then way to high. Keep your eye on the diff and you might get some blocks.

You must update your CONF file and restart wallet. Only few nodes are working currently:

... its my mint/node computer will be on 24/7 ...

good luck ...

to dev :

... the thing what really makes a coin useable are mobile wallets ... so that should be on top of to do list ...
a coin will only survive if normal tec stupid people can use it .. aka mobile ...
and the need for an alternative currency is there in greece ...

So id contact

https://twitter.com/yanisvaroufakis or via his blog http://yanisvaroufakis.eu/form/

Id argument he would have leverage in the EU finace negotiations, if he is officially announcing a cryptocurrency to be an additional accepted payment in greece nationwide.

He is very smart ... maybe you could get funding for development or something else ... worth a try Wink

greetings

If bitcoinmining riggs could buy miningriggs with bitcoin by themselves wouldnt that be asexual reproduction ? So wouldnt that make BTC a lifeform ?

What password? You don't need any password. If you have some GRCE already, backup the wallet.dat file first and then delete all contents of GreeceCoin folder in c:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\. Then make sure your GreeceCoin.conf file is updated with nodes I pasted above. Then restart wallet so that whole blockchain is loaded again.

I've downloaded the blockchain and made a connection, so that's positive.

In other wallets there is a check box to turn on mining. Where is that in the Greececoin wallet?

Where can I see the difficulty?
