Girona finally managed to win over Osasuna and moved back up to second place in the standings by overtaking Barcelona. A series of bad results in the last few matches has not made Girona lose its position in the top four of the standings, which I think Girona will be able to maintain its position until the season ends. This victory put an end to concerns about their inconsistent performance in the previous few matches, goals from Portu in the 13th minute and Savio in the 86th minute helped Girona get an additional 3 points today.

The second position of this result is very deserved for Girona. They ended a series of poor performances including a poor result against Mallorca.
I didn't watch the Girona - Osasuna match, but from the statistics of the match 2-0 the result they didn't deserve was 3-0.

With this victory, Girona's record for goals scored this season has reached 59. For me, this is an achievement that I appreciate.
Girona will next face Getafe and Real Betis. If they play freely without pressure, they will get points.

I agree that some behavior from Vinicius is too much and he will receive cards from referees if he continues it. He will change himself after learning own lessons with cards in future.

However I have one thinking, Vinicius Jr. actually was treated badly by opponents' fans and players so such reaction can be one of his natural and instinct to defend himself but I agree he must change it for good of his team and himself.

Seville hasn't been in their very best form this season but have managed to be at their current position, rhey have been able to get three wins a loss and a draw in their last five games which has kept them at the fourteenth position with twelve points so far, so they appear like the favorite in this game today even if they won't be playing from home in today's game but it isn't a reason they wouldn't be able to defeat their opponent.

Almeria on the other hand has not been in a very good from and has aswell had very weak and poor performance since this season with an unequal matching strength for Sevilla even if Sevilla is a tough team too, Almeria managed to escape relegation last season with a difference of just a point and that has been what has helped them to be able to play in the. La Liga this season but then I doubt if they will be able to participate in next season la Liga because they have no way of escaping relegation this season as their current position and point is really terrible.

This may be their las la Liga game until they will be able to exit relegation probably by subsequent seasons ahead, Almeria with just 9 points since the whole of this season is at the bottom of the table having won none of their recent games but lost two and draw all the rest three, I doubt if they will be able to get ahead of Sevilla or be able to win them because by virtue of their strength the best they can do even with their home advantage is a draw.

20 May 2023 was the last time Almeria got 3 points in Laliga, since that time - they havent won in 31 league games.
Perhaps they want to break Hercules record back in 1940 to 1967, where they failed to win in 72 league games.
However, we cant underestimate Almeria at home because they able to force a draw against Atletico Madrid and Bilbao in their last 2 home games.
Maybe there is a chance for them to get 3 points today.

It was an excellent victory from Real Madrid against Celta yesterday. I will always give applaud to Real Madrid for their consistency even when some key players like Bellingham is not present. Ancelotti have trained the players to the extent that they don't need to depend on one player before the can win. At first Celta was playing as if they can equalize the match but the discouragement and frustration came in when Celta goalkeeper caused an own goal.

Real Madrid have no rival in the league anymore, no matter that Girona is on the second position and won their last match. Girona has always tried their possible best to maintain the second position, even though Barcelona is like a threat to them. This season, Girona surprised everyone, and I cannot wait to look up to their matches in the Champions League next season.

Sevilla performance dropped drastically in the first half of the season, slowly in the second half of the season they managed to stay away from the relegation zone and are now ranked 14th in the standings with 27 points from the 27 matches they have played. The teams that Sevilla have beaten in their last five matches are Rayo Vallecano, Atletico Madrid and Real Sociedad, three teams that I think are quite strong this season. So Sevilla can most likely beat Almeria, and take home the three points. Despite playing away and not being completely consistent, I think the match versus Almeria can be easy for Sevilla.

On paper, Almeria chances are very low, they have never won a single win in 27 matches. Almeria needed a miracle to achieve victory today over Sevilla, the best result they could possibly get was a draw. Almeria steps to get out of the relegation zone are very difficult, they don't look like they can survive in La Liga next season. That sounds a bit more optimistic to me than it should be. We are still talking about good old Sevilla here and they are 5 points ahead of the relegation zone after 27 games played. That doesn't precisely sound positive in my ears when you consider where they are coming from. They have usually been a top 4 - 6 team for a long time, but have had decreasing performances for a while now. Still though in the season 2021/2022 they finished 4th position, 3 points behind 2nd position Barcelona. The year before that they finished 4th position as well, 15 points ahead of 5th position.

So I think we can surely say that they have been facing a massive downtrend and they are lucky that literally all teams behind them except for Cadiz lost their games this past weekend. Otherwise they might be even lower in the La Liga table.

On a positive note it is probably true that the 9 points out of their last 5 games do indeed mark an uptrend, but this is a drop in the ocean given that they are the last Europa League winner and former Champions League participant.

He's getting to old to be competing in a top club like Real Madrid, Real Madrid has many youngsters that they should be given chances to play together so they can understand each other and build a relationships on the field. Old players like modric have played all that they can at the senior level for the club and shouldn't get angry when they're benched. If he want to be getting more playing time, he should leave real Madrid like other old players are doing and go to a club that he can use his experience to win them trophies. I think going to the Saudi pro league will be good for him as he can play less competitively and make more money. He has more playing IQ than those players in the league therefore it won't be difficult for his talent to be shown on the pitch.

The points Real Madrid have now, show that it will be difficult for Barcelona and other teams to take over the position from Real Madrid because they have what it takes to win this la Liga league title this season.

It was really nice to see Arda Guler scoring a goal only five minutes after entering the game.    He even entered in the 89th minute. This is a great starting point for his Real Madrid career. Ancelotti has wanted to wait for the right time according to him to give Arda Guler chances in the league. We have watched him playing for a really short amount of time in a few games.

Despite having a really limited time his being able to score a cold-blooded goal there was nice to see. I understand Ancelotti about the difficulty of giving young and skilled players so much playing time while there are so many good players of course. But I hope Ancelotti continues to care about this kind of players.

Only one game in Spanish La Liga today. Almeria will play Sevilla at home. Almeria are the worst team in the league. They don't have a win in the league yet. They have only 9 points. But they've won 3 of them in the last 5 weeks. Actually, they haven't been too bad in recent weeks. They've done well in this short period. On the other hand, Sevilla have been disappointing for their fans this season. If they hadn't gotten good results in the last games, maybe they would be closer to the relegation zone these days. When I look at their last 6 games, they have only lost to Real Madrid, they have taken points in all the other games. I think they will win this game.

sometimes weak teams like Almeria are very annoying when they really don't seem to have impressive performance power but can always prevent top teams from getting a win as we can see previously Almeria once played at home and ended in a draw against several popular teams like Girona, Bilbao and Atletico Madrid.
this could happen again against Sevilla, seeing that Sevilla are currently not doing well, of course Almeria will easily hold this match to a draw or even share the score with Sevilla.
If you analyze the results of the previous meetings between the two teams, Sevilla is actually far superior because they can always beat, but the problem is that Sevilla's current condition is very different from before.

With 8 matches remaining, it is certain that Girona will secure a ticket to the Champions League next season. This is a truly extraordinary achievement and I have huge respect for Girona for their outstanding performance this season. I hope they can maintain their position and finish as runners-up in La Liga. They will play in the Champions League next season. Club management must work hard to build the club to be better and more solid next season. I saw Girona performing well at the start of the season but they lacked squad depth so they lost a lot in the second half of the season.

Vinny is too emotional and easily provoked, I agree with that. But I don't think this problem is unsolvable. I always remember the evolution of Pepe, who at the beginning (and probably even in the middle) of his career was absolutely crazy, but over time he was able to curb his temperament. Or another example of Suarez - after he bit an opponent for the second time and faced the danger of disqualification for a very long time, he was able to take control of his emotions. Hopefully a couple of red cards (when Vinnie does get them) will point him in the right direction. I hope this happens as soon as possible and not in super important games.
