Look at Napoli who to me are better this season than Barcelona are languishing in the 8 position in their league. If This thing should happen to Barcelona and they fail to qualify for the Champions league the board will put more effort to rebuild or restructure the club.

As for Girona they need to get back to form of they truly want to keep the champions league hope alive. Just a win in the last five matches isn’t convincing, they might soon be dragged down to fight for the UCL if they don’t get back there form. The game Against Osasuna should be easy but with their recent form it is better for stakers to stay away from games like this

I'd say yes to what you said that Barcelona do not deserve to be at second position but never forget that the Girona that you want to take that 2nd spot only have the league to worry about while Barcelona and Madrid have the Champions League to fight for, which means Barcelona have more work load this season than Girona. I think the fanbase and management know that their condition is still not financially safe, and their lackluster performance and Xavi's upcoming departure show that the club is quite fragile. I believe finishing within the top 4 is necessary for them to guarantee survival instead of drowning in another debt. On top of that, changes can't happen in the short term unless they want to risk their key players getting injured due to a lack of rest.

What kind of effort do you want them to do? Hire a new manager? Recruit new players? Aren't they doing that too? While the result is not that impressive, I think they're doing something right at least. Let's see if they can improve their financial situation too, at the very least they should remove overpaid players who don't contribute to the team at all, plus avoid the same mistake on the next transfer window. Truly, Barcelona is having a terrible season but I commend their performance yesterday despite it was a narrow win. Although the score line doesn't matter as long as three points are secured but it is very embarrassing seeing a sixteen years old rescuing Barcelona week in and week out. I know he's part of the team but at his age, no much should be expected from him yet. I agree with your point that Barcelona shouldnt be in second place because they havent done well. While Girona only has to worry about their domestic season, Barcelona also has to worry about the Champions League. Not to make excuses, but to stress how much work they have to do. As I watched them play Mallorca, I could tell they were thinking about their next Champions League game against Napoli. I know its annoying. They are not doing as well as they should because they have too many things to do. But unlike some teams, they were lucky and made it out alive.

Its true that you think Girona should come in second. They've worked hard, but football is about who takes advantage of chances. What does this even mean? How do you say a team does not deserve to be where they are? Were they given free points? Didn't they have to gain points to be at that level? You said Girona has worked hard, so what did Barcelona do? Just stay at home and was gifted 61 points?

He lacks regular time to play in the main squad. Xavi considers Mallorca an easy opponent, and this is a sensible reason to give him time to play in the main squad with the hope that Gulu will get more experience playing in the main squad. Even though his performance is not that impressive, gulu can at least get more time to play and this is what xavi wanted to do. Barcelona has so many youngstar but these players lack of time to play in the main squad caused by strict competitions.
