The first game of the season is between Valencia and Getafe tonight. They both had a similar season. Valencia ended two places ahead of Getafe (at the 13th place). This time, I wonder which team will start the season better than the other. I feel myself closer to a Valencia victory. But it will be a really close game I think. Valencia may have a big difficulty in winning this one.

Of the two teams I will judge them based on the preseason matches and am impressed with how Getafe has performed in their friendly matches and very disappointed with how Valencia has been playing,if this continues that 13th spot they secured at the end of the season could get worse and need a solution to their problems fast before all teams settle.

My prediction: Valencia 0-1 Getafe

Some people think that Valencia will win the game against Getafe. But I can't say that I'm so sure about it. Because these teams both are close to each other in terms of power and performance. We witnessed it in the last season. Valencia couldn't beat Getafe in the last season. In this stadium, it ended 2-2. And Getafe beat them 3-0 in their home stadium. And Valencia couldn't beat them for 5 head-to-heads actually.

I think this game will end in a draw.

Keep choose and favorite Barca to win from Bilbao although without Messi right now, I think Depay become most scoring goal for Barcelona and help by Griezmann most easy for Barcelona to win from Bilbao. Barcelona have completed team now after Messi left club and only with midfielder they need new and young player, I see Bosquest is not strong again for Barcelona.

Are you sure Depay will be fielded in that game? Because as far as I know Barcelona have not been able to register Depay, Aguero and Eric Garcia at this time, because Barcelona still cannot reduce the salary burden under the Spanish League Financial Fair Play (FFP) regulations.
So automatically when Barcelona first match later in La Liga competition, their three new players (Depay, Aguero and Garcia) still cannot defend Barcelona because of the existing regulations, and it seems we need a little patience to be able to see them playing on the field wearing the Barcelona uniform and I think if  Barcelona inaugural match later, it looks like Griezman will be Barcelona mainstay.

With Messi gone, if they can get away from the horrible contract of Griezzman as well, then they are going to be fine, busquets and pique will be next in line because they are not getting any younger and still getting 10+ million a year. That trio alone worths 70 million a year, think about it, if they can get rid of 70 million a year on top of already getting rid of Messi, that is 140 million a year they are not paying just for 4 players. Surely it is hard to replace Messi, but he was getting older anyway, and it is not that hard to replace Griezmann+pique+busquets trio, you can definitely find players that can replace those players.

With 140 million extra in your pocket every year, Barcelona will be able to get any player they want, hold it for 4 years and they have 600 million, pay any transfer fee for any super star plus any salary they want and they are back at the top of the world.

I don't think it will solve their financial problem because without the star players the team would not be as great as it is today.

If they want to buy another star player, then they also have to pay expensive contract and salaries and still maybe the player is not as expected. Check out Dembele, Coutinho and some of Barcelona's new signings. I don't see him making a big contribution to the team and even more often they sit on the bench or go on loan to other club before being sold permanently.

Wow, how can the first match be colored with two red cards, this is really a tough match it seems. It looks like Valencia were a bit lucky to score first and finally made a tight defense to secure the win, even though Getafe had plenty of chances to equalize or even win the game. But yes, this is football I predict a 1-1 draw in the superbru tournament, I should have been very close to the correct score but then again, 11 players ahead in a few minutes of the game still couldn't get Getafe to score.

Busquet shows he can be well in the Euro 2020 and he control midfield area very well. However, Busquet need to have a good defensive player to help him because he is very low. Barcelona has Pedri and De Jong but they are not strong in defensive. If Barcelona begins matches with three midfielders Busquet, Pedri and De Jong, they will be vulnerable to opponent attacks.

Unfortunately, they will begin a new season with what they have and Koeman will have to adapt to limited players he has.

Pique is worse than Busquet in my opinion and if Barcelona has to choose between Pique and Busquet to replace first, they would choose Pique.

If they want to buy another star player, then they also have to pay expensive contract and salaries and still maybe the player is not as expected. Check out Dembele, Coutinho and some of Barcelona's new signings. I don't see him making a big contribution to the team and even more often they sit on the bench or go on loan to other club before being sold permanently.

With their reveal on financial trouble from Messi case, they will not be able to sign with other star players and give them high salary in coming seasons. They have to clear players like Coutinho, Dembele from their team to reserve Aguero, Depay for the new season.

The problem is that there are so many greedy advisors and there is so much attention paid to strong talents that it is really hard these days to sign players who have the ability to become the next top stars while only receiving modest salaries. Barcelona is paying the bill now for making all the debt in the past. I wonder how Real Madrid is going to deal with that, too. They are also heavily indebted, but Barcelona seems to be more at the centre of the discussion when it comes to financial deficits.

Getafe shows that will be a tough opponent for all the teams and if continue to play with this mentality, can probably manage to achieve something bigger this season. Indeed a draw would be the most "fair" result but Valencia is a solid team that knows how to take/ secure a win. Let's see today's matches...

I agree that Alaves is not a team that will make it difficult for Real Madrid, the record for meeting the two teams is far from being won by Real Madrid.
Although some Real Madrid players are still injured, it is still easy for Real Madrid to beat Alaves. Real Madrid's first match against Alaves should have
gone well with Real Madrid getting 3 points. I want to see how Real Madrid play after being coached by Ancelotti, whether there is a change in attack
or defense. And also this will be David Alaba's first game for Real Madrid in La Liga, it's interesting how Real Madrid defended with Alaba in attendance,
but was left out by Ramos and Varane.

They really managed to keep the score at 1-0 and win the game.    Getafe also got a red card in the last 15-minute period. And they did everything they could against Valencia in the second half. Valencia still were the winner even though they didn't have a single shot in the second half. I don't know whether it's really a deserved win but still I appreciate their success.

I think it is deserved but I am not impressed by watching the highlights of either of these teams. Both played terribly after the red card it should have been easy but they made it hard for themselves. Awful game for the fans to watch.
