I think you are commenting without following La Liga. Rayo Vallecano is never a very weak team. They drew with Real Madrid in the last match. Don't be surprised by the rankings, any score can be possible in this match. Girona should not lose in this match. He must win so that his claims can continue. The fact that Barcelona is not second and with only 8 point difference, on the year that Xavi got "fired" is still beyond bonkers. Like a few more bad games by Real and suddenly Barcelona is in contention to win the whole thing, how could they think that's bad season? In any case, Girona could make a comeback and be second too but I do not think that they will keep that going for a long time, it feels like they are going to end up with a bad result eventually here and there, which will make Barcelona second.

Girona are moving from grace to grass, their last five matches was so poor to the extent of losing 11 points which was very bad, or are they trying to proof those that were saying that Girona will not make it to the end of the season on top four in the table. Rayo Vallecano last game make me conclude that Girona will not find it easy when playing tonight because Rayo Vallecano had their last game with the strongest team in Laliga and were able to hold on to their pressure from the three minutes of the goal and managed to equalise and end in draw, this alone shows they have improved, but let see if Girona will move back to second or continue to lose form.

Girona closed their 26th match by winning a landslide 3-0 victory over Rayo vallecano. In this match, Girona managed to play their best role by controlling possession of the ball and also appearing aggressive in pressing their opponents. Indeed, in the first half it looked like the match was quite even with no goals being scored, but in the second half Girona was able to improve their game until in the 52nd minute Tsygankov was able to put girona ahead 1-0. After successfully leading with a score of 1-0, Girona game got better where they carried out many attacks and they managed to add two more goals through savio.

Girona also managed to return to 2nd place after barcelona previously overtook them but Girona was able to take it back. Girona lost their consistency in the last two matches which made their points tally even further behind Real madrid. That 3-0 win is a good goal margin to get back to winning games. Girona started to be active in the second half and slaughtered the enemy 3-0, Rayo Vallecano didn't get a chance to score a goal until the match ended and Girona emerged as the winners.
