Your point is well taken. Barcelona seems unaware of football management's ups and downs. Attributing the team's troubles to Xavi ignores the real causes. I agree with their budgetary constraints. Their inability to make large transfer market moves limits any manager's options. Find a balance, which is difficult when your wallet is almost empty.

Personally, I think Xavi's praise is too late. Has been performing wonders with what he has. It took skill and determination to reach the Champions League quarterfinals. There are times when Barcelona and Real Madrid experience a decline in performance because sometimes Real Madrid and Barcelona cannot compete well in the title race. I assume it will be very difficult for Girona and Barcelona to overtake Madrid in the remaining 10 matches in the future. Indeed, mathematically this is still very likely to happen, but currently Madrid is still very consistent and has only experienced one defeat.
