Agree. The point gap between Real Madrid and Barcelona is 8 points. It is not a small point gap, so Barcelona will be quite difficult to overtake Real Madrid in the top of La Liga standings. I guess the realistic goal for Barcelona is to finish this season as a runner-up.

The season does not end and Barcelona with their pride and pressure from financial crisis, will try best to win La Liga even they are smart enough to know their chance is not high. It is a difficult task for Barcelona but they will not give up till a match day Real Madrid have enough points and difference against Barcelona to be the league champion.

A difference of that many points means that Barcelona must at least win three matches. If they cannot win, then Barcelona will definitely not be able to take first place again. It's true that Laliga isn't over yet, but Girona's presence in the top four surprised us. At the start of the season, Girona even topped the standings and competed closely with Real Madrid, and surprisingly managed to beat Barcelona and Atletico Madrid. but unfortunately they are not strong enough to beat Real Madrid, however this is a good start for Girona to become a strong team next season by bringing in star players.

Girona has indeed become an unexpected team in La Liga this season. Because I personally didn't pay much attention to Girona at first. So I also don't have any expectations for Girona. However, after this season's LaLiga progressed, I was surprised by Girona's greatness in being able to become the top 3 team in Laliga. However, unfortunately at the end of this season, Girona's performance experienced a significant decline. The reason is that in their last 5 matches in Laliga, Girona was only able to win 3 matches and lose 2 matches.
So this could endanger his current position which is ranked 3rd in La Liga. Although the difference in points between Girona and the 4th ranked team (Atletico Madrid) is quite large. Girona's achievements throughout this season are indeed worthy of appreciation because this club is an ordinary club but was able to become a top club because they appeared consistent since the start of the season and competed with Real Madrid at the top of the standings, but unfortunately Girona's concentration did not last long as they experienced a decline towards the end of the season which caused his position to drop to 3rd place and was overtaken by Barcelona.

It's quite difficult to break the dominance of top clubs which throughout history have always been the best in the league, but Girona has used his time well this season because he was able to stay in the top 4. I don't think, Barcelona can win three matches to embrace three points from those matches because they are going to be meeting strong teams that will strength them and if they are not careful they will not take victory from them. I have seen many things that will not make Barcelona to reach that first position in the la Liga league table, because Real Madrid is ahead of them with many points and they will not allow any mistakes that will make their points to reduce. The La Liga competitive race is here and only the available of top clubs will become strong enough to take up levelled raise. Girona would have become one of the promising club but they've slide behind and they're unable to meet up the necessary targets required of the team. Real Madrid and Barcelona have proven to be one of the tough clubs this season and they're always on sights to trigger winning. While Girona will be settling for the UCL qualifying spot, they just have to become prominent and consistent in winning matches.

As a mediocre team, of course no one expected if Girona could appear very Spartan in the league this season, their performance since the season began was very surprising and even they were able to last long enough this season at the top of the standings before finally Madrid took over, only with modest players but Sanchez Munoz managed to break the dominance that had been happening between Barcelona and Madrid in La Liga,  Sanchez Munoz's strategizing skills and also the motivation of the Girona squad can make them penetrate the top 4 and at the same time surprise Madrid and Barcelona.

I have heard this many times no official confirmation from barcelona regarding this. I know that cancelo has contributed a lot to the club and he's worthy enough to be a permanent transfer. City's asking price became the main obstacle owned by barceona to make him as permanent transfer since barcelona demands lower price for him.
Barcelona can probably send an option to exchange him, but it sounds like the city will not be interested in it. Cancelo may return to manchester city again next season if Barcelona can't afford to pay his price to manchester city.
It's not yet clear what's gonna be the final deal between barcelona and city. Lona is still trying to convince city to decrease his price.

Yeah their performance wasn't short of been stellar. Reminded me of Leicester city then when they won the EPL. Well in 100 years who's to say the top best would remain the same.  We have seen past records of clubs that boast of winning more than one UCL and they have declined out of first division league. The performance in the early half of the season helped boost their confidence. If they do end at the top 4 in the La liga table, then there would be more drive to do better next season but if not, I think their performance this year would be a fluke compare how they would next season. Let's see how it goes.

Not any la liga match in this week and matchday 32 will play next week, I think La Liga operator looking an opportunity give more rest after having three participant teams will play in Champion League quarter final match such Madrid, Barcelona and Atletico. I agree with you; with Barcelona's situation, they cannot win against Real Madrid when they meet for the second time in La Liga. Real Madrid is at another level in La Liga, and Barcelona does not have the type of players who will match Real Madrid shoulder-to-shoulder this season in La Liga.

Girona indeed has been the surprise package of the season in Laliga this season. I had wished they won the league to interrupt the monopoly stronghold of winning in Spain between Real Madrid, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid
For me, they have already exceeded expectations and I'm quite sure they will play in the Champions League next season. Even if they don't win the league,  they have successfully introduced themselves as a force to reckon with in the Laliga top tier. Good luck to them.

The La Liga competitive race is here and only the available of top clubs will become strong enough to take up levelled raise. Girona would have become one of the promising club but they've slide behind and they're unable to meet up the necessary targets required of the team. Real Madrid and Barcelona have proven to be one of the tough clubs this season and they're always on sights to trigger winning. While Girona will be settling for the UCL qualifying spot, they just have to become prominent and consistent in winning matches.

To be honest Girona made this season to be interesting with their performance because the laliga league have always been known for Real Madrid and Barcelona.  When the the season started all eyes were on Girona because before now this team used to be a struggling team in laliga but this season they were leading the league but I'm not surprise to see Real Madrid at the top of the league because Real Madrid is a team that can always get what they want .

Im so impressed with the effort of Girona this season, even if they lose the top position to Real Madrid atleast they found a better position and I know they will be among the top four team of the league this season.
