I think it is quite possible for Barcelona to still be able to maintain 2nd position because Barcelona and Girona now have a difference in performance so that Barcelona is not so stressed anymore. Moreover, Barcelona's performance is quite good now and this is inversely proportional to Girona so I don't think Girona will able to compete with Barcelona for 2nd position.
In fact, now Girona only needs to maintain the stability of their performance so that they remain in the top 4 of the standings to be able to get a ticket to the Champions League next season. Girona's position is still not safe now, especially as their performance has declined greatly.

There is no guarantee Barcelona to stay in a runner-up position until the end of the season. If Barcelona underestimates Girona, they may lose the runner-up position. Even if Girona performance is decreasing lately, they are still a strong team in La Liga. They experienced some losses because they couldn't play with full team. Barcelona certainly hopes to overtake Madrid position at the top of the standings and win the La Liga trophy again this season, but this is certainly quite difficult to achieve because Ancelotti fleet has a fairly wide point advantage over Barcelona. Real Madrid will win Barcelona the second time if the clash again in El Classico, and I am very sure of that. Or are you now saying that Barcelona is currently in form than Real Madrid for you to feel that Real Madrid would drop points, and Barcelona will keep on winning the rest of their matches. Probably Girona will lose some important players in the summer and this would be really bad for them if they qualify for the Champions League. But I guess they would make some decent transfers for the Champions League too.

If Girona falls to a trap of lifting their salary ceiling, their finance will be unsustainable and will have risk of bankruptcy in future.

They will be sure if they can dare the champions league after they must have been able to win Manchester city in their next meeting and get to knock them out of the champions league as that's the only way for them to further increase their chances at the champions league because away from Manchester city i doubt if other teams would really be a problem to them if they happen to meet at the semifinals or finals.

Each team has played 30 matches so far and each team has only few matches left. With only a few matches remaining, it is certain that Real Madrid is going to win the La Liga title this season. Real Madrid is in the number one position of the points table and Barcelona is in the number two position of the points table with 8 points less than Real Madrid, in that case Barcelona has no chance to go to number one of the points table. Girona, which is number three in the points table, has a considerable point gap with Barcelona, so these three teams may finish the season in second and third positions. I haven't heard anything new about Pedri since he got injured again. But today I read the news that Barcelona want to extend Pedri's contract immediately. Pedri's contract until 2026 contains a release clause of 1 billion euros. But it seems Barcelona do not want to lose this talented young star. Although the statistics of this injury are quite worrying, it seems that Barcelona are still quite confident in Pedri.

Barcelona must take the right steps immediately considering that Pedri is an official product of the La Masia academy and we know that Barcelona is always enthusiastic about having talented young players in its main squad. Pedri has been playing for Barcelona for quite a long time and I don't think he will want to leave Barcelona to join another team. Barcelona has become his home and maybe he also wants to become a club legend throughout his career.

The injury suffered by Pedri is very worrying and if it is not handled properly, he will often relapse and could be sidelined for quite a long time. It's a shame that at his age, he is said to be in his prime, but his greatness has to be delayed due to injury problems. We can only hope that Barcelona can extend his contract and also hope that Pedri doesn't get injured again.

When Girona were topping the top of Laliga, u was over impressed With their performance and I had to check if they signed new players maybe it was the reasons for their improvement and I was even surprised that they didn't bought any player last season, it was just improvement from the team and that consistency gave them a shout up this season but they fall off since they met with Real Madrid and hasn't been like before, something must be really wrong with them to be failing to win some teams they have won in the round 1 of the matches played.

Maybe you mean to say they will bring in new players by end of the season. If the current squad that has brought the team to this spot left is the new players going to understand each other firmly and achieve a better result in the Champions League. I think there will be more addition of players this season and then renew some old players by 1 or 2 years extension and the future will depend on what they play for the next season.

I was expecting Athletic Bilbao to win easier than this honestly. Mallorca made them quite big difficulties as it seems. However I believe Athletic Bilbao really deserved this title anyway. This season they are playing at a much higher level. They are trying to take the last spot for the Champions League from Atletico Madrid in the La Liga on one hand you know. I don't feel like they will be successful on that though but let's see whether they can defeat Simeone in the competition.

I know the new owners are rich, why should they have budget difficulties? They achieved this success without spending a lot of money, so who knows what they could do if they spent a little more money. Girona doesn't need to do much, let alone push it with a limited budget. So they just need to do what they can, without needing to add any star players. Because with their current situation they can still provide solid play next season. There's no need to rush, Girona better enjoy the process. Gradually, quality will develop in its own way. Michel will still be trusted to manage this team, and he will utilize the players he has to continue to improve performance. Even though it is now certain that Girona will appear in the UCL next season, that doesn't mean they have to finish in the top 8. Enjoy the process and continue to build the team they were when they started in La Liga. One of main reason barcelona's debt will never be paid off. If not even a single player wants leave from barcelona, how can barcelona raise some money to comply with FFP? This is also happening to the de jong or even raphinha. Even though some of them were not la masia product. but they have stated unwilling to leave from barcelona.

It seems that Girona will not experience a financial crisis like other La Liga clubs, because the majority of Girona shares are reportedly owned by the City Football Group.
