The post was deleted so I could only speculate, and honestly, I didn't think he'd ask to escrow the rentals because with all due respect, I have not seen him around the mining board, but well, if others are okay with him, they could work something out, although I don't think any extra expense/risk is needed since I have seen ailikun run a few rentals successfully in the past.

Still waiting, might get that last slot here.
Right now its not the best idea to start a solorun right? Not the best chances with that balance. I will keep an eye on this for this weekend, hopefully we could find some ppl to join. I also tried to encourage some of the german members who were also in the soloruns.. not lucky till now. :/

well you cant actually join the solo run with contributing an S9.  you'dhave to chip in some BTC to the cause of renting.
then whatever you contribute, and we hit a block, you will get your % wise back

make sense?

Why not? if you guys manage to hit a block you can check his hashrate/shares and then pay him accordingly, all you have to do is get him to mine to the same wallet using a different worker, actually his idea sounds interesting to me, whoever doesn't have BTC in hand can contribute some hashrate, it will be a bit more difficult to manage once and if a block is hit, but as long as everything is planned for ahead of time then there should be no problems.

Well that would be like me pointing my personal hashrate to the solo run addy during the rental.lets say 300Th,  and the rentals hit a block. But my personal miners were not even close. I would not be ok with paying some btc to my personal addition or anyone else who just pointed miners to it. While everyone else who put actual $$$ into the rental Process would be out some btc.
So that being said, means you would basically be mining on a big pool that pays out daily.  Why would anyone do that.
Let’s say my personal gear hits the block and the mining addy gets paid. There’s no extra btc I would get for that, right?  I’d prob get $20 %wise

You'd have to keep track of how many shares his actual worker contributed during the solo run period. That would be the only fair way to give him an appropriate proportion of the reward, but would work.

lets say my 146UJM...   was  pointed and had

42292934300 shares

lets say the solo club manager’s btc address was never pointed here and begins at zero

after 5 hours I do 100,000 shares

lets say the club does 4,000,000 shares.

together we do 4,100,000 shares. my share would be 1/41.

but if you let people do this.  the best way to keep track

is a new btc addy for the club
and the same addy for the guy adding hash.
the guy adding hash would add a marker like 2s9

this means all coins go to the club address.

say

 btcaddyclub.           say 4,000,000 shares
btccaddyclub.2s9.     say 100,000 shares

either one hits the club gets. 40/41
the add on s9 guy gets. 1/41

all winnings go to the addy managed by the club.

What do you mean by actual $$? what does that $$ go for anyway? it goes to rent hashrate, so if someone would contribute DIRECTLY with hashrate it actually saves you money as a rental group because you don't have to pay him fees as you pay to nicehash.

Wrong, I don't know where the confusion is coming from, but this is like saying if you pay 0.01BTC for the rental you can only get 0.01BTC if a block is found, it's really isn't as complicated as you think, let's put this in a simple example.

Person A > pays 0.01 BTC to rent 500th for 24 hours
Person B > points 500th to the same worker for 24 hours

B would make $40 a day by mining to a PPS pool, but if he or person A hit a block he goes home with half a block, I hope that is clear?

Anyway, right now, nicehash pays about 15-20% more for miners, which means getting 300TH from that member is way better for the team than buying it from nicehash because then if you pay for 300TH you will only get about 250TH worth of hashrate, so if I was managing a rental I would rather get people to join using their hashrate than paying BTC.

ok, fine, MAYBE one last time.  How do we know for sure if we hit a block given the last fiasco?  If the miner hadn't noticed he hit a block NO ONE would have known, and we're renting hash so how do we know?  Convince me and I'm in for 0.02.

Only 'backup' notification I can think of would be if NH lets the person who is running the rental know they found a block via a stats page or whatever. I've never seen a reason to rent so I have no idea if NH does that.

He knew he hit a block by looking at highest share on the pool status, his share wasn't broadcasted to the network fast enough due to ( what ck explained), so this means the stats on the pool are fine, if you ever get a block worthy share, you will know it, but then whether you do get the rewards or not - will depend on the pool performance and luck, and i assume we did solve the performance issues by upgrading to a much better server, as for luck, well sadly you can't do anything about it.

No idea if NH does that.

They sadly don't.

Now you're bringing up old shit  Grin it was my miner and I'm still salty about it because it was just before the halvening, but such is life we move on.
All you have to do is look at the stats for the miner we use for the lottery pool and if the best share is over the difficulty then it likely found one and you can look on the CK stats page and verify https://btc.com/stats/pool/Solo%20CK

Hi,
looks like the round could happen! Can you give me a quick info about the Hashpower for 24hr with the current amount of collected BTC?
