There will be a hard fork a block 8000.. block rewards will will be lowered. But what will happen after that point is yet to be decided. I'm not a dev, just following the story as it unfolds. Come join the conversation in #CleanWaterCoin!

Just a thought......devs could use a couple of the BTC that still have from the IPO, buy up all the cheap coins idiots are dumping, let the fork happen and coins remain as they are now. Then disperse the cheaply bought up coins to the IPO investors(I'm not one of them).
This shows the world that the devs are still backing the coin, still have IPO investor in mind, and appreciate all the old and new miners. Prices will stabilize in time, and anyone stupid enough to keep dumping coins will be the losers in the end.
The mistake has been made, don't compound it by trying to devise some "do over". You don't get do overs in financial markets. You admit your mistake, take your lumps, and move on.

For those that can't, would you mind informing us here? Thank you 124C41. We are at block 7810 as of now, hard fork little bit more than 6 hours away, and not to have a defined remediation plan at this time does not inspire confidence in the final solution. I hope I am wrong. For those trying to see where we are blockwise, use http://cleanwatercoin.altstrade.cc/chain/CleanWaterCoin

Gonna answer this before I put you on ignore. Do you know your dev, dev of H2O came here and spread his love and regret that this happened ? This man got my respect fast, within a couple of words and even made it worth for me to maybe invest in his charity as well. People like yourself should be ashamed of yourself, by gloating on other peoples problems. Instead to help out and make both a success you just are here for your own gain. Good day sir !

Disappointing to see people that exploited the mistake trying to dump millions of coins. They are only ruining the demand.

This is very suprising that after almost 24 hours of the present situation/issue, there still is no official statement from the developers. I believe that should be put here in a first place.
I do find it very disturbing.

So is this coin dead? I woke up to about 46,000 water coins in my wallet then when i went to send it says transaction failed. I dowloaded wallet again just to make sure I had an updated wallet, same thing. So what, am I stuck with 46,000 water coins in my wallet now that I can't do anything with?
lol
What a joke... Who developes these crap coins anyways.

Well if you were trying to exploita bug, then you should not be suprised. I really do hope that the developers will reverse the blockchain or make all coins mined after 7000 block unspendable.

Exactly how is trying to send his own coins an exploit? You seem very determined to undermine WATER and keep suggesting the absolute worst possible idea for the future of the coin. Now I am quite suspicious of your motives. My guess is your are upset because you were not mining and didn't get any of the coins produced by the DEV's mistake. Now you moan wanting a do over, which would screw everyone except the people that weren't mining. Reversing the blockchain=zero credibility and instadeath to the coin.

I agree with you. I am not an IT guys, but I guess they could shut down all the nodes, release a new client with reversed blockchain, new nodes and reforked to 7000 block. If the argument against it is 60% of people will have to accept the change, then I am pretty sure all the Clean Water Coin supporters will do that and we will operate on the right fork, while the second one with 450.000.000 coins (1/2 cap value) will die eventually. Honestly, if they fork at 8000 leaving all those mined coins, I'm out. This is the worst thing they could do for CWC.
What about the coins, people bought between those 7000-8000 on an exchange, they will vanish, those are hard Bitcoins worth you are trying to delete ... I don't know but it's not that simple as just reverting a blockchain. + I don't think we should just delete the coins. We should not punish people who saw a good deal and bought them on the market. If this happens without somehow compensating people who would end up losing bitocin, then "I'm out" as well. as you said, what about the IPO investors ? 26 IPO BTC=10 million coins , now it is about 0.3BTC=10million coins . IPO fund supports server, and other hard cost. the donated $2,ooo was also from IPO . how can dev team treat their investors like this ? it's caused by dev's stupid mistake. right ? +1 iiikkkxj I stand your point. IPO investors know what they are getting into that's why its the highest risk / reward...keeping the market happy is better than people who risked funds before the project was even launched.... but it's caused by dev's stupid mistake, not market choice. there are still 24BTCs in the IPO fund , send back to investers ? dev let their Shareholders down! the cause doesn't matter - it happened - whatever the solution that is given now, reversing the block chain purely in the interest of the IPO investment would be a decision made effectively because the coin supply / price did not follow the IPO investors expectations - i suspect many of the people on here proposing solutions that benefit the IPO investors rather than the future of the coin might actually be IPO investors themselves? If they get refunded with the funds the coin needs for promotion, development and growth, will the people who bought WATER on exchanges before block 7000 get refunded too?

Oh, to add to that. I sent 300 that I mined PRIOR to the fork and sent to an exchange. It posted in my balance and I posted a sell order. Several hours later the 300 that I sent was removed from the sell order and has been sitting in 'Pending' for more than 12 hours now.
