Cant see any upsets happening based on teams and odds. I will try and do an in-play bet on Leinster
as I'm planning on watching this one - if the odds become favourable, which probably wont happen.
The only possible way I can see to get some value is to do a Timelord Parlay!

This is going to be an interesting season, Ireland struggled during the Autumn series and England are
always competitive, IMO those odds on Ireland ATM @ $1.30 are very generous based on their
results from a few weeks ago.

Parlays are tricky things - pick ten or twelve matches, yet if just one fails, then you've lost your $1.  I do like the one where I can play systems picking five matches then putting money on two games, three,for or five games winning - if two games fail , then you're getting some money back. (your signature doesn't seem to have a refcode for the site your advertising)

Yeh Munster lost me a parlay on the European Rugby Champion's Cup... Sale won their match with the rest to play out over the rest of the week-end.

So far this week-end only Sale and the Blue Bulls have lost their games with the other more favoured teams winning their encounters.

Toulouse, Toulon, the Saracens and Bath are yet to play as the more heavily backed teams.

In a landmark, world first sports diplomacy deal, the Australian Rugby League Commission (ARLC) has confirmed an agreement with the Australian Government to fund a 10-year Pacific Rugby League Partnership.

The Pacific Pacific Rugby League Partnership will support investment into grassroots, pathways and elite rugby league across Papua New Guinea, Tonga, Samoa and Fiji. It will also support the introduction of a PNG-based NRL side as part of a future expanded NRL Telstra Premiership. 

ARLC Chairman Peter V’landys AM said the deal was a watershed moment for rugby league and the Pacific region.

“This is an historic step for Rugby League, Australia, PNG and the entire Pacific,” Mr V’landys said.

“Rugby league is the number one sport in the Pacific. This new Club will solidify Rugby league’s role as the unifying language of our region."

V’landys said the funding would be directed into programs that would transform lives and communities across the Pacific.

“Roughly half the funding in this historic agreement with the Federal Government will go to grassroots football and community programs in PNG. It will also flow across the Pacific, including to Fiji, Tonga and Samoa.

“The Pacific Rugby League Partnership will help improve school retention, foster national cohesion, and provide opportunities for young people to be their best selves. We know when rugby league is on the curriculum, kids go to school – and that changes lives.

It just comes down to greed on the part of Nine Entertainment and the NRL Executive (and of course the TAB betting website).  Sport is one of the only reasons people watch commercial television here in Australia any more, so more sport = more viewers.  I'm wondering how many teams are in the NFL or the EPL?  At least the EPL has relegation which makes teams more competitive.

I just got up to find Lyon and Toulouse draw 17-17. Earlier, Glasgow won against Edinburgh. I haven't had a chance to look up the scores, but it looks like most of the favourites won their games (including the Japanese fixtures I put money on).

A draw in Rugby is a rare-ish result, we can get massive odds on such a result
but yea I dont think I ever bet on a draw.

Maybe possibly a draw would be more common for derby matches where two
sides are evenly matched but the most likely outcome is a 1 point difference.


Glasgow v Edinburgh - it was easy for Glasgow, they are a top side ATM and defending
champions. It was 21-6 at half time!

I had a parlay that paid out over $9 if/when Glasgow won - it was certainly a nice pick up to recover the outlays on a handful of others that went against the favorites.

Back at it again this weekend with round 8 of the URC, and its all derby matches again.

Munster v Leinster - Leinster should win this one but battles between these two can
always be close affairs

Stormers v Sharks - Stormers are favourite probably because they are at home, there
could very well be an upset here. Sharks are @ 2.56.

Edinburgh v Glasgow - after last weeks washout I cant see the warriors lose this
one too.

That was a close one between the Dragons and Cardiff, I honestly didnt think
it was going to be that close.

Cardiff are back at it again on New Years day, Round 9 and they play the Ospreys,
they are favourites again at 1.37, They should win this one too!

One other match to finish Round 9 on Wednesday - Scarlets v Dragons. I'm not
betting on this, IMO it could go either way.

That was a close one between the Dragons and Cardiff, I honestly didnt think
it was going to be that close.

Cardiff are back at it again on New Years day, Round 9 and they play the Ospreys,
they are favourites again at 1.37, They should win this one too!

One other match to finish Round 9 on Wednesday - Scarlets v Dragons. I'm not
betting on this, IMO it could go either way. 

Those two matches caught me out particularly Cardiff v Ospreys, ended up a
draw match and Scarlets trounced the Dragons 32-15, I didnt bet on that one anyway.

No URC, Challenge Cup or Champions Cup this weekend but the French Top14
are at it tomorrow. There is a match which really stands out for me....

La Rochelle 1.05 v 9.60 Toulouse - I'm a bit surprised at those odds and I think
Toulouse are worth a small bet at those odds, they are in top position ATM.
