Amazing match played by Argentina, we deserved the win, the second half was briliant. Wales have the qualify in their hands when they fell a few inches away to convert that try but Moroni stoped it with a magnificent tackle.

Also big goal from Bofelli shooting from very long range.

Argentina beat wales 29-17 in another enjoyable match. The last 10 minutes of this match were particularly exciting. Wales missed a try by centimeters and then argentina scored a surprise try with a stolen ball to take the lead. If you look at the table it looks like a comfortable score but it was a great match. It's been a great tournament so far. I've never seen a tournament this competitive. So on the first day of the quarterfinals the pumas and all blacks eliminated the undefeated leaders of the other groups from the cross-over match. I expect the same from south africa. The defending champions have the power to eliminate the hosts france.

Results from yesterdays quarter final matches in the Rugby World Cup...





England v Fiji - that seems to have been an epic match, Fiji fought very hard to come back
from 21-10 at half time to 27-24 with 76 minutes gone but England held them off to win,
TBH it would have been a big upset if Fiji had won but it was close.

France v South Africa - Brilliant Brilliant match! in the last minute the situation for France
was very similar to the one Ireland was in in their QF.

France were in their own 22 and needed a score to win, they managed an attack but
the South African defense was too strong.

Both teams deserved the win!

With France and Ireland out my wager is dead unless Timelords NZ win the title!

At the start of the competition (and with the buzz by darxiaomi) I took out an $88 bet on Argentina to win.  Even if NZ win, the odds were better than 3:1 so I'll be just that little bit ahead.

New Zealand are beatable and Argentina have done so recently but can they do
it again? TBH I cannot see it happening based on the performance against Ireland.

In fairness to Argentina though they have grown into this world cup, they have got better
and better!


I just heard that England have made 3 changes to the team to face South Africa while
SA themselves are playing the same squad that beat France. The odds are unchanged

What can i say?

We needed a miracle to win this game, we need our perfect day and one not so good for them. And what happen? We have the WORST game in the entire WC and they have a game without one msitake.

A few minor notes.

- CHeika you are a piece of shit, not only as a head coach but also as a person, i dont know if you know but he only dont put the correct players in the starting line up because of a long time battle between Ledesma (former head coach) and Nicolas Sanchez, so we allways had one of our best players out.

Also WHY WHY keep playing with the WORST Scrum half we have, the worhtless Bertranou, we have Cubelli and Bazan Velez who are way better than him. Again because he is a child.

Why Argentina wins again Wales? BEcause Bertranou doesnt play also he dont go to the bench. How he can explain that?.

I want to see him out, i know youa re gonna say he make us win agains NZ for the first time etc, but the team doesnt show anything new.

- ANother note (im not saying we lose for this because NZ was in otehr league) HOW the hell the referee make so bad decission and all in favour of NZ? man i see 3/4 times the scrum of NZ crumbling alone from the NZ side and he punish us?, and i see im not the only one who see this , i see people from other countries pointing the same.

I hear you darxiaomi, I dont know the politics of the Argentine Rugby system but I
do know that the game and Argentina was very much lack lustre and yes probably Argentinas
worst game in the WC.

TBH I the first half Argentina had the majority of possesion but just couldnt break the NZ defense,
and to be completely the opposite NZ could pretty much score almost with every visit
to the Argentina 22.

Yes maybe n the lead up to the match, it kind of promised a lot TBH but the match itself was
not great, NZ although they scored 12 points ^{2 tries} in the first half didnt
perform that great, ok their defense was good. Argentina only scored 2 penalties it was a frustrating
half to watch.

I thought as well as the audience that te ref Angus Gardiner was not great either, there were a few
mistakes and I wonder why on replay that the TMO wasnt correcting the decisions?

What a match that was between England and South Africa



England all the way to the 78th minute until South Africa were awarded a penalty and
Handre Pollard split the posts! They were now 1 point ahead.

England failed to score a try, they relied on Owen Farrell to kick all their points.


So now the grand final is between Rugby royalty, New Zealand v South Africa.

Timelord you have done well to pick NZ and TBH I would say they will win based on
SA performance last night, they had a lot of handling errors, the scrum and line
outs were mediocre .

Well I'm not doing a side wager, you couldnt be sure of anything in this WC and
especially in this final.

2 teams both with 3 titles each, the reigning champions v's a team who have
played top Rugby. NZ are only slight favourites @ 1.87 and South Africa COULD
come out and blow them away with their power game.

Whatever way it plays out it should be a cracking match.

So World Rugby could only get England to the semi-finals with their easy Pool draws, but then South Africa and the All Blacks with their "Pool of death".. got through to the finals.  

Now I see "Curry" trying to unsettle South Africa with racism allegations towards one of the South African players, before their final match.    The quarter finals ended with all the pools being topped with Northern hemisphere teams, but the Southern hemisphere showed true grid to end up in the finals.

My prediction = Argentina will win England for the bronze and South Africa will win the All Blanks. (Both matches will not have a score difference of more than 5 points)

Ah there was a lot of talk about the pools and how they ended up after being drawn to
be quite skewed!

The only Northern Hemisphere team to win the world cup is England. It seems that the likes
of NZ and SA know the route to the final of a world cup.

IDK, those racist allegations just seem weird, if any team would be sensitive about giving
or recieving racist comments it would be SA.

My friends in South Africa says this might just be a huge misunderstanding ... because the front row are using scrum signals that are spoken in Afrikaans. Bongi might have said "Wyd kant" .....which means "wide side" in English and that signal shows the players that understand that signal, which side of the scrum ...will use what tactic.

"Curry" cannot understand the Afrikaans language, so he misinterpreted what Bongi has said..... and Bongi cannot respond to him, because that will reveal the strategy that the South Africans are using in the scrums.  

Rassie Erasmus is Afrikaans and we know he is a Rugby genius, so he will teach the players to use signals that other players from other countries will not understand.

Bongi is a hooker and is on the middle of the front row while Curry is a flanker and is
on the edge of the second row...its a good explanation though!
