Following on from the last matches of the weekend...

Montpellier the favourites and bottom of the table in the French Top14 did actually beat
Toulon 27-17, to me it doesnt add up?

Over in the English Premiership Bath did beat Gloucester so I ended up close to 50/50, I
might have been better off sticking with the favourites ^{eventhough some outsider odds are
very appealing}

Following on from the last matches of the weekend...

Over in the English Premiership Bath did beat Gloucester so I ended up close to 50/50, I

I actually got a wager down on Montpelier about an hour before the game started.  Lost on the sharks, but won on Bath and Leicester in the later games over the weekend. 

The Saracens are favourites to win the cup at the end of the month on $2.50 while Sale $5 and Leicester $7 follow in second and third favourites.

Likewise Leinster $2.85, Toulouse $4.50 and La Rochelle $6 round out the top three in the Euro Champion's Cup to be decided this weekend.

The English Premiership Rugby wont be finalised until the middle of May. There wont be any
matches in February.

In the European Rugby Championship the group stages end at the end of January so still
a bit to go there still and then its onto the finals stage.

The Rounds of 16 take place in April
Semi finals at the start if May
and the Final at the end of May.

Opps - my bad.

This weekend, I'm going with Newcastle over Benetton then the Ospreys over Perpignan.  While over in the France Pro D2  Aix-en-Provence ($1.04) Vs Dax $9.00) and Brive ($1.06) Vs Rouen ($8) seems to be the most skewered bets - I might just do all the favourites again in a parlay and see how I go.

European Rugby Champions Cup is back on this weekend starting today with:

Northampton v Bayonne - Northampton are topping that Pool 3 so they are unbackable
@ 1.06 that could be one to go into a favourites parlay.

Exeter Chiefs v Glasgow Warriors - Exeter are healthy favourites @ 1.35, another one for the parlay

Lyon v Connacht - @ 1.25 Lyon are home favourites but Connacht are libel for anything,
anyway lets add Lyon

Stormers v Sale Sharks - Have to go with the Stormers @ 1.16 at home

La Rochelle v Leicester Tigers @ 1.06 - hopefully the French side have their house in order.

So far this weekend the Ospreys, USO Nevers, Aix-en-Provence, Aurillac, Brieve, Stade Montois have all won their games while Newcastle, Montauban and Vannes (the favoured online) all lost their games.

and The Stormers. I am waiting for todays match La Rochelle v Leicester, fingers crossed.

It was 'winner all right' La Rochelle romped home with a score of 45-12. I had a $5 bet on
that parlay, I think thats the first in about 8 months which I did and it worked.


An update on the other tournaments:

United Rugby Championship - resumes 16th of February

English Premiership - Round 12 of 18 starts 26th January

Top14 - Round 13 of 26 resumes on the 26th of January.

So the only Rugby this coming weekend is Round 4 of the European Champions Cup and
the European Challenge cup which I'm not following.

Are you having issues shifting funds with the glut of transaction fees on the block chain at the moment?  It must be eating into some online crypto gaming websites bottom dollars. 🤔

ATM the fees dont seem as high as they were! I just moved $79 with a cost of $6.87

My experience of the Parlays is not to add too many bets, so the reward isnt as great but
also the chances of a result going the wrong way is less . . . thats how I see it. Last
weekends parlay had 5 bets, this weekend I plan to do another but havent decided who
to add.

(my eyes are watering) I'd *consider* a fee that high if I was transferring a win of ten thousand dollars in a hurry either out of an exchange before the replay showed the ball was out of play *or* if I were wanting to put some money down fast after the opposition's key players all fell down with gastro with twenty minutes left to play and were trailing by at least as many points...

Well thats about a 60% discount on where it was about a week ago , so im happy with it.

IMO its a bit dodgy backing the Scarlets over Edinburgh.

Yes I heard today Joe Schmidt today, great coach, he was 9 years in Ireland with Leinster
and Ireland and was fairly successful.

He was then head coach of Ireland from 2013 to 2019. In six years under his leadership,
Ireland won three Six Nations Championships, including a Grand Slam in 2018. Ireland
were ranked number 1 in the World Rugby Rankings for the first time in their history
in 2019, and recorded their first-ever wins over New Zealand.

Thats another parlay win with a massive $5 bet @ 1.6.

All 5 teams did the business, Glasgow Warriors,
 Racing 92, Leinster, Saracens, Toulouse.

If I had Proceeded with the original 4 picks I was thinking of before seeing the odds
it would have been a lost bet. Saracens beat Lyon 39-24 and Bayonne beat Exeter 40-17

I was thinking of putting something down on both Toulouse and Leinster, but didn't end up doing so. Ah well.

The BBC World service spent the entire weekend going on about "the world game" in France for the Olympics (no mention of Rugby in their broadcasts)... I'm guessing the Olympics are fast descending on us.

(And I'm glad I didn't put any wagers on the ladies at the Australian Open - apart from Coco Gough I think every pic I would have made have all been tumbled out).

On a whim I put a dollar on the Great Britain Women's Rugby team ($23) I should have put five or ten dollars down - the Women's team won the Rugby World cup a year or two ago.

Aryna Sablenka also won - same thing I only had five dollars down. (I should have put a while lot more down)

Overall, it's been a great weekend so far.

Damn in the first set of pool matches yesterday AUSTRALIA let me down !!

I didnt do any bets today, been too busy to study who was playing who but checking
the mens results I have to say Argentina are looking pretty good and are in the semi finals
against....Ireland, I'm happy with that but TBH I wouldnt bet against Argentina.

The other semi final is Fiji v Australia!

On the womens side the semi finals are Ireland v Great Britain and Australia v USA.

This weekend is a chance for the #1 teams to pull ahead of the competition, Womens:
Australia and Mens: Argentina.
