Whats the idea behind the pre-season matches? is it purely to put bums on seats?
Is there anyone going to be able to put an end to the Panthers reign this season?
I've never really been sure - the semi official stance is it enables coaches to tryout player formations (position on the field) as well as weigh up how their opponents play which in turn enables coaches to modify their game plays. The four teams involved have left for Las Vegas amid a much lower hype compared to last year. The novelty of playing the first two matches of the season overseas may already be wearing off.
In any event, we're down to the last ten days before the 2025 NRL season kicks off.
Timelord are you putting any bets on the Six Nations?
The odds are not great, none on Ireland, 1.27 on England and 1.07 on France.
I'm thinking of doing a long shot on Scotland @ 3.70?
Can they beat England in the Six Nations for a 5th time on the trot?
The only one I have a small wager on is the England and Scotland encounter. If Scotland were to pull off "the impossible", it would be one people will talk about for a very long time.
Wales ($13) Vs Ireland ($1.01)
England ($1.30) Vs Scotland ($3.20)
Italy ($8) Vs France ($1.06)
Super Rugby PacificChiefs ($1.34) v Crusaders
Reds ($1.13) Vs Moana Pasifika
Hurricanes ($1.08) Vs Fijian Drua
Highlanders v Blues ($1.20)
Brumbies ($1.13) Vs Western Force
All games are fairly one sided with the Crusaders at $3.20 and Fijian Drua at $7.50 (they didn't do too good last week either)
