Florentino Perez is a smart president. We remember what he said about Kylian Mbappe last year. Probably one of the reasons why he was not seen as willing to sign him this year is this situation last year. Mbappe stated that this year will be his last year for PSG next year. I don't think the problem is the price but whether Mbappe is willing to play in the Europa League next season? If Mbappe is willing to go down a level then I don't think price is an issue as long as they or Liverpool are able and willing to spend that kind of money. Because at this moment it seems that Mbappe is not prioritizing money, because at PSG Mbappe also has a large income. According to transfermarkt, Lens total market price is 221m while and got the second place on the table in the French league with one point gap they had with PSG, while PSg spend much more than Lens and I think if Lens could invest this huge amount of money for hiring players they could even they the title.

You are right. I was confused after viewing some post that speaks about his plans of leaving. Mbape has already had talks on this and the arrived on him leaving after the end of next summer. Mbape still has something to offer PSG, they didn't just buy him to help them win Ligue one, he was brought into the club to help them get European titles which for a very long time they haven't tasted.  I believe that's the more reason the likes of Messi and Neymar were brought also.  If PSG and focus on buying average midfielders and good defenders, I think they will reach the height they had planned to be with the help of Messi, Neymar.  Mbape is good enough to help them reach that height.

That's probably PSG's biggest problem. They spend huge amounts of money on top players. They probably have the best squad of any other European club. But they can't compete well in European cups. Ligue 1 is not a good league like England, Italy or Spain. But even this season PSG have hardly managed to take the top spot. I don't even know what could help them.

But what is the chance that Mbappe saying he loves Paris and he wants to stay at PSG is meant seriously? i never thought when I watched him play for PSG that he is a happy player, someone who enjoys being where he is right now and who is giving his best in every single game he is playing for that club. Lens used to has recognized as mediocre team in Ligue 1 and on 2015 Lens even has been relegated after finished the league in the bottom position but when Franck Haise arrived to this team he has make significant progress and only in 3 years he can bringing Lens to finish at second position under PSG and i think nobody thought Lens will be able to finish at that position because on Ligue 1 people are more likely to talking about other teams such as Marseille, Monaco or probably Lille as the contender for PSG

For next season we will see whether Lens can maintain their consistency by playing in 3 competitions for one season because i am too curious how far Lens can go and for champion league obviously they are underdog because if i am not mistaken Lens was joining into pot 4 for drawing pot later and for summer transfer Lens seems want to upgrade their squad and recently they want to buy Juventus player Denis Zakaria but before that Lens already get Stijn Spierings as free transfer but i am quite worried because their goal machine Lois Openda was targetting by many clubs and i think Lens have to hold this player because he is important player for them

We agree, what Franck Haise has done for his squad has had a very significant impact. from 2021 to 2022, Lens has consistently been ranked 7th in the Ligue 1 standings. In the 2022/2023 season, Franck Haise was able to lift his team to finish in 2nd place in Ligue 1. Even before, I wouldn't have thought, if Lens would be able to compete fiercely against  Marseille, Monaco and Lille. which in the end, Lens finished runner up under PSG.
an achievement that must be appreciated both for the coach, and the players. their hard work with the team and coach paid off and at the same time participated in the Champions League competition next season. unfortunately, don't get your hopes up that this team will be able to compete competitively in the most prestigious event of the league caste. in fact, I doubt if Lens will be able to survive in the group phase later.
