With PSG poor performance at this moment, it should be an opportunity for other teams to be in the top position in the Ligue 1 standings. Because this season I believe the competition in Ligue 1 will be more competitive, because there is no team that really promises to be able to dominate the top position. At this moment there is still Monaco in the top position in the Ligue 1 standings, but I personally not so sure Manaco will be consistent to stay at the top of the standings. I think Ligue 1 will be very interesting when there is a struggle for top position in the standings, not only filled by PSG. Monaco and other clubs can take advantage of PSG decline in performance to create a better competitive impression. Even though on the one hand it is not necessarily consistent, this can arouse overall fan enthusiasm. PSG have ruled Ligue 1 for almost a full decade, only Monaco and LOSC have ever broken their dominance.

I think even though PSG still has a real chance of defending their championship again, Luis Enrique squad must be very consistent in the next match. The real challenge is the tight competition schedule that PSG is participating in, for now Enrique has to get back to preparing Mbappe and his friends for the UCL group phase match against Dortmund.

I think this result is not too bad because in the last 5 matches Monaco has never lost at all. Apart from all that, I think Monaco must improve their consistency again because in the next match they will face Nice, who previously managed to beat PSG.

Monaco just lost an ample opportunity to solidify their hold on the number one position in League 1. They might even lose the top spot if Marseille beats Toulouse which will take the former to twelve points.  It was a good day for two Nigerian-born players Tosin Aiyegun and Folarin Balogun ( representing Benin and USA), Tosin scored Lorient's first goal while Folarin netted Monaco's second goal. Monaco was comfortably cruising to victory before the extra-time goal by Romain Faivre. Nice will not be an easy team to beat considering their recent form which includes an unexpected win against the defending champions, therefore Monaco needs to put in more effort. Lorient's next game will be against Nantes a team that won their game today against Clermont Foot.

What a bad season for Lens. 5 Disappointing matches compared to the previous season. The match against Metz should be a must and must win. Lens really dominated in the first half and Metz only had 1 shot and it was a shot on target which resulted in a goal in the first half.

I, who watched the match, was very confident that in the second half Lens could at least equalize, but unfortunately Metz was really good in defense.

Lens is still in a bad condition and we have to understand this situation and if we think about it, we are probably very disappointed with Lens performance yesterday when they lost as hosts and were even defeated by a club that was promoted again this season and it was very embarrassing for Lens.

Monaco in my opinion was just unlucky in this match that they could not finish the match by bringing home 3 points. A late goal by Romain Faivre dashed their hopes of beating Lorient in front of Lorient supporters.
Actually they also created many opportunities, but unfortunately there were only 2 goals they could create in this match.
But indeed this is an unsatisfactory result for them, because the victory that was in sight had to be lost just because it was missed in the final minutes of the match and they had to be satisfied with sharing points with the home team.

Lens vs Metz

Last season's runners-up team Lens has been performing very poorly this season. Out of four matches, they lost three and drew one. Lens conceded 10 goals in this grazing match. Now they play against Metz.

Only a tie against Rennes has separated their four losses. I cant overstate how difficult their Champions League challenge will be. They're in the Ligue 1 relegation zone and preparing for the major European competitions, making things difficult. Despite the high slope, I think they can get back on track if they remember how brilliantly they played last season.

I think that if monaco has been performing so well overall. Monaco was close to winning the game, but Lorient scored another goal in the last minute, resulting in a draw at 90+8. Unfortunately, Monaco was unlucky.
The club needs to be consistent when the game was entering into the injury time. I saw that monaco was rarely making mistake. Its defensively hasbeen performing properly but it's still lack of consistentcy.

Getting draw is far better rather than losing three points. Monaco can still increase its point even though it was only draw against lorient. I hope monaco will be lucky enough in upcoming game against nice which has been beating PSG in the previous match.
Nice is not underrated team at this moment. This club can beat strong club as well.

Lorient hosted Monaco at home.We can say that it was an enjoyable match.Monaco is a team in form, but Lorient away was not easy.We can say that these 2 teams had a good performance last year.Lorient scored an early goal in the second minute and took the lead, but Monaco managed to find the equalizing goal after 15 minutes. In the second half, Monaco increased the pressure with the changes and scored 2 minutes after the changes and went 2-1 ahead.But they couldn't protect this score and the match ended in a 2-2 draw with Lorient's goal in the last minutes.Monaco was able to draw from this away game despite being the better team.For Lorient, I think we can say that this draw could be a good result.

Expected a win from Monaco to be honest. And I also thought that they were going to win. But it was the last moment of the match. When Lorient was able to snatch away, one point. It’s really incredible to see a match finish like that. but let’s be honest, the match actually could have gone either way. I wish Monaco could have held onto their nerves for a little longer. they are still at the first position on the table anyway. As PSG has easily retained the Ligue 1 title in other seasons but it will be very difficult for them to retain the Ligue 1 title this season. At the moment, the PSG team is shaky. This season, it seems as if this team has run out of gas even though the competition has only started five matches. Franck Haise as coach, has tried to rotate some of his players. However, the efforts he made never changed after playing his match in Ligue 1. In this week's match, Lens lost at the Stade Bollaert-Delelis, their home base, to a team that had just been promoted to Ligue 1, namely Metz.

Honestly, I'm not too sure what caused the problems for them to start this season in such a messy way. because I didn't dig too much into the information regarding this team. Maybe, because several of their important players have left for other clubs in the last summer transfer window. or, Franck Haise had difficulty implementing the system he wanted to the newcomer players. What is certain is, if Franck Haise doesn't find a way out, it will be a big problem for his team's squad and even his career.
In the next few days, Lens will try out Sevilla in the Champions League. There are not many options, Franck Haise must prepare his team and motivate their mentality so they can bounce back. It is undeniable that Lens' improved performance last season was also quite surprising, so a drop in performance like now is not unusual.

Regarding the game between Lens and Metz, we know Lens got higher rates and it was mostly because of the performance they had in the last season, we know Lens is the second team in France and there was only one point difference between them and PSG while PSg spent much more money. Monaco could not win despite performing well. The match was drawn 2-2. I thought Monaco would pick up maybe 3 points, and cement their place at the top of the points table. But they failed. However, Brest are now second in the points table thanks to a win in their last match. The team finished 14th in the points table last season. But Brest is playing very well this season. On the other hand, Marseille and PSG's performance is weak. Marseille got 9 points and PSG got 8 points from 5 matches. On the other hand, two renowned Ligue 1 teams Lens and Lyon are yet to win.

When last season PSG failed in the Champions League and many blamed the performance and contribution of Messi and Neymar, but after Messi and Neymar left the fact that PSG actually became worse.
