I agree with your shot. PSG's defense is weak. And the performance of their attacking players is erratic. In attack, Mbappe, Asensio, Ramos and Dembele are all talented. But nobody can play consistently well except Mbappe. Not that Mbappe is performing very well either. However, strengthening PSG's defense is very important. They are conceding goals in every Ligue 1 match. They conceded 3 goals against Nice. Every team in the Champions League is very strong. If PSG performs in the Champions League with such a weak defense, then they will not win any match. Also, PSG players are not able to adapt themselves well to Enrique's match strategy. This is why the team's performance is erratic.

A defense line that consists few of the best current defenders in the world like Achraf Hakimi, Marquinhos, Presnel Kimpembe and Lucas Hernandez shouldn't be seen as a weak defense rather I think the defenders aren't putting out their best performances for the club and that is a very worrisome for a big club like Paris Saint Germaine.
The club management did well in signing quality players to the club in summer transfer window, so it's now the job of their manager Luis Enrique to figure out the best playing pattern that'll bring out the best from his boys or risk losing his job if PSG continues to lose matches like the one they lost at home last weekend.

PSG has no way of keeping Mbappe longer because the player wants to try new challenges in the coming season. This season, PSG seems to be having difficulty showing their aggressive play like they did in previous seasons. Other players still cannot be relied on to be the difference in the final result of each match because only Mbappe is capable of doing that. Wow not a single one of the main favorites in this league won their game during this weekend.Paris,Monaco,Lens and Marseille all failed to win and they all lost or drew their games which makes this week in the French Ligue 1 really strange to say the least,I never have seen the same happening here before especially when three of these favorites were playing at their home field except Monaco which was playing away and a draw is not the end of the world nor a big surprise result,these are three though are huge surprises in the results of this league,I wonder if anyone of us has hit a win in sport betting in this league as it seems quite impossible with these results.

I'm not too worried about Monaco's performance, especially now that they have new ammunition for their attack line, namely Folarin Balogun. Even though he only played twice in this match, he started from the bench. but he has shown it, by contributing one goal against Lorient. although in the end, this match ended in a draw. However, Monaco remains at the top of the standings.

As for PSG, there is a problem with their center forward. While Assensio performed well in his last two matches as a center forward, he suffered an injury and had to miss the match against Nice. Unfortunately, there seems to be a good bond between Goncalo Ramos and the PSG players. So, he underperformed. There are times in a players life when he is not driven by money but by personal achievement and glory, I am sure this is the phase Mbappe is in now. Spain if possible Madrid will be the best club to achieve his ambition to win the Ballon d'Or. PSG or even the Saudi League would have been ideal if the Frenchman needed more money but Mbappe want to win personal awards and other prestigious trophies now that he is at the prime of his career. You are correct, something is wrong with the defense. The club has conceded six goals in five games. But this will not be a problem if the attackers are scoring more goals. Monaco which is topping the league has conceived more goals than PSG but the only difference is that Les Rouge et Blanc is scoring more goals. Luis Enrique needs to find a way to make attackers score more goals.

Even with Mbappe in the squad PSG this season, but PSG performance at this moment is very bad. PSG have second opportunity with Mbappe future renewing contract or not until January window transfer opening, I don't think PSG wont left opportunity for selling Mbappe above 100 million when next window transfer opening if fail reach extend contract. Although have good communication right now and Mbappe become top scorer for PSG its seems management still try to get negotiation and make Mbappe want to extend his contract. But if outside from PSG management planning sell him when January transfer window opening is the best option than have to loss with free agent next season. That's why PSG performs in each season, regardless of what result they get, still, the owner of PSG spends lost money and buys superstar players for the next season still hoping for the next Chmapnios Leageu while so far this plan has not worked.
