I guess you are right here, but my comparison was only referring to this horrible start into the season for Ajax Amsterdam and they are recovering now whereas there is little to no hope for Olympique Lyon. As you said when we take into account the history or the past few years, Ajax Amsterdam was more shocking than Lyon, but nobody saw it coming that Lyon would be that bad. They somehow were hovering around in the middle of the table sometimes, but always got their issues sorted out such that they won't be fighting against the relegation zone, but this time there is no comfort zone in sight for them.

The relegation zone is fundamentally what everyone is avoiding this season. The Eredivisie and Ligue One are both different leagues an the team's in these leagues operates differently. I highly doubt that this is correct. There are a couple of teams wealthy enough or soon to be wealthy enough to afford Mbappe. It is still not necessarily about the highest bidder. I think it does depend on what Mbappe envisions for himself while making a ton of money of course. But Real Madrid, Manchester City and also Liverpool if they sell Salah, these clubs could be financially strong enough to cope with an Mbappe deal both in terms of the transfer fee and also the salary. You won't judge the outcome of match because of the difference in points. This is football and the unexpected can happen. Since Marselle will be meeting Lyon at home i don't expect it to be that easy for Marselle. Lyon will try their possible best to beat Marselle so that their fans will be impressed with their performance. I am trying to understand why you are saying that Marseille has nothing to fight for? If they win this game, which they most likely will do as they have a 2-0 lead, they will be 6 points behind the Europa League qualification and 3 points behind the Conference League qualification. Maybe you are referring to their good old times when they were competing for the Champions League starting spots? let's change the analogy, if Marseille didn't have what they were fighting for, they wouldn't change coach when this team experienced a decline. from Igor Tudor who ended his contract, replaced by Marcellino and then now Gennaro Gattuso. which means, the management wants changes in performance and perhaps player quality. If they don't have anything to fight for, it's simple that they will take their fight seriously.
The point is, this competition still has a lot of matches left and Marseille is struggling to improve their ranking by fighting to win match after match.

I am trying to understand why you are saying that Marseille has nothing to fight for? If they win this game, which they most likely will do as they have a 2-0 lead, they will be 6 points behind the Europa League qualification and 3 points behind the Conference League qualification. Even though the match ended in 3:0 in favour of the home team Marseille, I think it would be a big risk if you gambled on Lyob to beat Marseille considering their poor form and their performance since the start of the season. Lyon is at the bottom of the table yet they don't show any sign of getting out of the bottom place because they keep losing points and they get worse in every match that they play even when they don't play with big teams. From the performance of Lyon I think they are not escaping the relegation zone by the end of the season so for now they should continue to see how they can get the team back to winning ways.

I don't see a big difference in money in this case because looking at what is happening now the situation remains the same where PSG is still focusing on Mbappe as a fulcrum, it's just that for now Enrique's coaching skills can make things more in terms of performance where Mbappe becomes more flexible to be deployed anywhere which makes this season a little different.
