I agree with your argument, it's the same with "building finances" my opinion this is the most important fact for any club, so that later they can buy expensive players. Being in the UCL isn't bad, in fact that's what all clubs excpet in this league and any league. Ligue 1 problem is with marketing they arent on the level as premier league and they wont come even close to it. England fans are always on stands and their leagues stadiums are always full even the leagues below.
