Lorient are the most surprising team of the season so far. They have got 22 points after nine weeks passed and we see them only three points away from PSG also. They have beaten quite strong teams compared to them like Rennes, Lens, Lyon and lastly Lille today. By the way the win against Lille was really dramatic. While they were 1-0 ahead they got a red card. Lille scored the equalizer however Lorient still found a way to score to winning goal in the last minutes.

This is a really difficult thing to do for them normally. But this proves how much strong they are mentally now. In a month they are going to host PSG which is a candidate to become an interesting game. We all know how strong PSG are but maybe they would have concentration problems after having a tough game vs Juventus in the CL a few days before. Anyway, let's see how long Lorient keep up the good work. They are on a long road to be able to finish the league in top 5 to qualify for a tournament.

They impress by continuing to receive wins in every match run.
9 matches 7 wins 1 draw and 1 loss clearly this is one very good achievement by a club that is always close to the relegation zone.
The previous 2 seasons after they were promoted they had to continue to be in 16th position but this is probably their best achievement by being in 3rd position at the moment for a while.

Today's last match of the French league, Lens vs Olympique Lyon, promises to be interesting. The favorites of the game are the hosts who have not lost the match this season. Lyon had a good start to the season but have lost the last 3 games. In the match between PSG and nice I also had High Hopes on Psg but I cannot say that they disappointed me. They were able to win and they also played over 2.5 goals so there is no disappointmen. We don't expect PSG to win with very high go margin every match. Remember last season nice got a very tough fight so they are no longer a small club. It was not totally a bad performance for Nice considering the quality of PSG. Although their attack was not spectacular in that match they utilized the only opportunity they had. Nice defense needs all the commendation because they were able to hold the attacking for PSG. Lionel Messi had a good match but Kylian Mbappe has proved again that without him no party for PSG. Although he was not totally fit for the match Christophe Galtier's gamble paid off after, and Mbappe scored the winning goal.

I also appreciate the performance of Nice, which can make it difficult for PSG to play at their own home. Especially as you said

I saw a team that dominated the game and PSG was amazing, sure they had trouble scoring a bit but they had plenty of chances and when a team has plenty of chances that means they dominated, the result of course matters but they won anyway. So, this is a game where we could say "it was only 2-1 win but could have been even bigger win" and that's domination to me.

PSG played very well, could be having some trouble playing together at the front three, Mbappe got in later on and scored, and I believe if they started with those three, they would have scored a lot more from the start. In the end, they managed to get the three points they wanted, and that’s important.

Even a thin goal difference gives you the three points and they were the main objective of PSG to get them.Their coach is thinking of course more about the Champions League as there they have failed every year while in the Ligue 1 they have no real opponents,we all know they will win it easily because having Messi and Mbappe on the same team gives you this assurance.I agree it is because of the Champions League that the coach saved Mbappe and did not make him play the full 90 minutes of the game.

PSG really needs luck to a large extent for them to achieve their goal of lifting the Champions league. Their performance against Nice is a clear indication that Christophe Galtier has not fully solved their goal-scoring problems. Benfica is not a team that would be underatted. They won their last match against Maritimo by five goals to nothing. PSG would have to improve if they would be able to with that match. Kylian Mbappe's fitness would be a big boast to the club because he has proved to be one of PSG's most reliable goalscorers.

It is true that Haaland is the bride of football currently, but Mbappe is not also doing badly. Both players seem to be the most promising young footballers currently. He is just recovering from injuries and I expect that Mbappe's performance would improve within a few weeks.

Mbappe cannot be compared to Haaland at the moment. Haaland has been playing brilliantly in every match. Mbappe, on the other hand, continues to behave selfishly. Mbappe should follow Haaland's style of play. If Mbappe plays this selfish way, no renowned team will be interested in keeping him in the squad in the future. Mbappe will definitely need to change his style of play.

That's understandable, I mean if you see the roster that PSG has, you may expect them to win by 5 goal too, that's understandable. But just because they didn't win my 5 goals, doesn't mean that they didn't dominated. They dominated but failed to turn the possessions into goals, and that was the reason for the result, not the lack of domination.

In the end, they got the three points, as I always say that's the only thing that matters. They can get even better, but results will not change, no matter how amazing they get, if it's three points it's three points and nobody will ever get anything more. They do not give you points per goal, it's always 3.
