Rennes beat an opponent who had lost for 4 weeks this week, extending their winless streak to 5 weeks. Montpellier failed to capitalize on their chances. Rennes is a good team and they have good players. We saw this in the midweek match against Fenerbahce.
Monaco also beat their out of form opponent and are now in 6th place.

Rennes played well against Montpellier. This was expected. Rennes was playing really well in this match and also had really smooth coordination between the players. Montpellier did not have that type of coordination while attacking and they were a disaster in the defense as a whole.

Monaco vs Angers

This was a very exciting match. In the first half, I found it surprising that neither team scored. Missed penalties, disallowed penalties, as well as some terrific saves from the Angers goalkeeper kept everything level. Despite this, Monaco played excellently in the second half, and some of their goals were very skillfully finished as well, particularly the second goal, which was a lovely finesse shot from the right flank.

Lyon vs LOSC today's match between these two teams I thought LOSC will play very well in this match but LOSC did not play very well in this match. Lyon scored a goal at the end of the match.  After that no more goals were scored in this match. However, in this match Lyon played a very good game from the beginning.

With the dominance from LOSC i was expecting them to leave with their away 3 points but Lyon were able to defend their home and won by a goal difference. Lyon tried in their defense but LOSC was the better team but were unable to net the ball behind the keeper. A lucky day for Lyon although their effort was amazing on average they played well.

When PSG conceded first in the 3rd minute, with a quick goal scored by striker Troyes.
PSG responded by increasing their attacking pressure. however, in the absence of Danilo Pereira, of course, plays an important role in their defense. Presnel Kimpembe, didn't contribute much and his performance was terrible. in the end, Galtier pulled him off in the 59th minute and replaced with Marquinhos.

I don't think SPG underestimates any team they are against. only, Galtier's rotation didn't go according to their plan.

I don't agree with you. Lille's performance was better than Lyon's in this match. Although Lille did not manage to win this match, I would still say that Lille's performance was good. Lille has a lot of attacks. Lyon's players on the other hand only resisted Lille's attacks and tried to score from counterattacks. And Lyon's players succeeded. They won the match with defensive gameplay. I would say Lyon was very lucky.

Apart from that I am still interested in continuing to monitor the progress of Marseille, whether they will stay on their path because they have bad habits. As I have said before, Marseille is a difficult team to be consistent with to get good performances and luck like the previous season. But on the other hand, when they have a bad season but the next season they get a very good performance and they keep repeating that season after season.

At least that was also evident in last night's match, when Marseille had taken the lead but in the end Strasbourg could equalize in the last minute of the match. At least it was a bad turn of events and an unlucky one for them, and I was lucky to only bet on the double chance option for Marseille.

Marseille had a really strong chance of getting all 3 points from this match. They were unlucky because they hit the post in the first half and they were also denied by the Strasbourg goalkeeper a few times. And I have to say in the second half Marseille was not defending as well as they should have and Strasbourg took that chance very well to come away with a point from this match. This point is going to help them a lot in their battle to get out of the relegation zone. Marseille completely disappointed me in this match.

Marseille will play Lyon in the next match and I don't think it will surprise me if they lose by the same margin.

I must say that Nice played very well in this match. Playing for the visitors did not frighten them in the slightest and continued to provide fierce resistance against Lorient. The result they can turn things around by creating 2 goals to ensure victory.
This gives the impression that the teams that are in the top 4 and trying to put pressure on Paris Saint Gemain are not too strong to do that.

I agree with you. PSG's defenders are experienced. But not focusing on defense is a weakness. And it really needs to be fixed. PSG's midfield is stable now. There was infighting among their forward players. Now, this is also solved. Now Galtier should focus on strengthening his defense. Sometimes only strategy and strong defense can defeat tough opponents. Ligue 1 title

PSG is almost certain to win. Because the second and third-placed teams in the table are 5 and 8 points behind PSG respectively. Now their target should be the Champions League. It was not easy for Nice to win against Lorient. Lorient was a strong team. And their performance this season is quite good. And Lorient was expected to fight PSG for the title this season. But they lost 2-1 against Nice. While Lorient's performance was not bad, Nice's players performed well. The match was competitive and enjoyable. The players of both teams performed well. And Nice's players took advantage of the weakness of Lorient's defenders to score two goals. Nice's performance at the start of the season was not good. But their performance in the last four matches is quite good and stable. Perhaps they will continue to try to move higher up the points table.

In this case, I agree because from any point of view, Lille actually looks a bit more dominating, but they did take advantage of Lyon's counter-attack and Lacazette scored a goal for them.
No matter how much in this match Lille created chances but indeed Lyon's players were much more disciplined so they could get this narrow win and hold on to the lead.

They lost concentration and continued to leave the defense because they were too focused on their attack line.
A good attacking line is an advantage but when they focus on attacking their defense there are a lot of gaps and these are easily exposed.

It is the third match in three successive rounds that Lorient fail to get 3 points. Nice this season isn't that top while Lorient were doing good at the start but things changed. Their next game against PSG will make their record even worse imo.
In another game, Lyon tackled Lille and allowed Monaco to pass it. Overall, only Lens and Rennes kept positive results but the distance between them and PSG is quite reasonable 5-8 points!

We saw a tough fight between Lyon and LOSC in the beginning. But neither team could score a goal in the beginning. But LOSC tried hard to score in the last few minutes of this match. But LOSC could not score a goal after many attempts. If LOSC had a little more from the beginning  If played well, LOSC could have won this match.

Lille had a lot of chances but none of them were scored, while Lyon had few chances and luckly in the 74th minute, Lacazette managed to score the 1st goal for Lyon. in the standings, despite losing, lille is still 2 points ahead of lyon, the competition in the middle board is quite tight !

It was not easy for Nice to win against Lorient. Lorient was a strong team. And their performance this season is quite good. And Lorient was expected to fight PSG for the title this season. But they lost 2-1 against Nice. While Lorient's performance was not bad, Nice's players performed well. The match was competitive and enjoyable. The players of both teams performed well. And Nice's players took advantage of the weakness of Lorient's defenders to score two goals. Nice's performance at the start of the season was not good. Whoever I ended up seeing against PSG in the league table ends up eventually losing to some easy team. I mean it’s quite definitely not Lorients fault to lose, they do not look like a team that would lose towards teams like Nice for sure but that doesn't change the fact that sometimes teams lose to lower level teams.

PSG is not an exception; they do lose when you least expect them to lose but they still end up with more wins than other teams when the season ends and they are more sustainable in that regard. Which is why I am guessing that it’s not going to be easy for anyone to see other teams get close to PSG by the end, they will just grow the lead bigger.

With this result they slowly lost their position and of course it would be very dangerous if this was allowed to go any further.
2 Draw and lose in this match is definitely a setback where in fact they could have played well at the start of the season.
They have to fix this soon because otherwise it is not impossible for them to return to the middle position as they did in previous seasons.

We would just expect the other big teams (considering the squad qualities) to perform strongly and close their gap up with PSG. But it is too difficult for this season also. Marseille seemed really promising at first but now they are just a mess with a poor level of performance for some weeks. Losing 11 points in their last 4 league games has caused the gap with PSG to get enormous now. The trio of Lorient, Rennes and Lens ahead wouldn't be much capable of keeping up with PSG I'm afraid. I don't think that any of them are very determined to win the league title either.

I really appreciate the performance of Lens so far, with the composition of players who are cheap compared to PSG, Monaco and marseille but they can be in second place in the Ligue 1 standings. PSG are still unbeaten while Lens lost 1 time, PSG must be careful in every match they face in the future, if they draw 3 times or lose 1 time only, then Lens will definitely shift their position.

It's become more boring since he left in 2016, he said, and remember this was before Messi, Neymar, Mbappe arrived, not to mention Ramos and a whole lot of other stars.

I know he's a legend there but even Cavani scored more goals than him there.

In other news, Pogba has now been confirmed no go for World Cup, add this to Kante and I seriously doubt France can go far.
