As Marseille continued to perform consistently well. Dominating Ligue 1 is becoming increasingly difficult for PSG. Marseille is now at the top of the points table. I read as you said that PSG must be very careful at every match they play if not they will be relegated. I was like does relegation have any other meaning in football? Relegation mean to stop playing in the top league and be demoted to a lower League, you would have used another word.

As long as I know, PSG has no much threat in the France League, Marseille will only be able to tell us that they are fit to compete for the title if they can win PSG home and away. We all know that they can't do this, so the league is still for the Giants PSG 

Yes, You're right I agree about Marseille, this team still capable of competing in the league for the title, but the real winner is still PSG. Today PSG will also play against Nice, I'm sure PSG will not lose, also currently fully motivated to see the top 1 standings occupied by Marseille. Marseille has secured their first goal in the first half of the game although the need to press for a second because Angers are making more attempts than them even while Marseille are dominating. Marseille needs to make some improvement in their counter so they can score some more goals else Angers might look for any slight opportunity to equalize

The match ended in a unanimous victory for Marseille and indeed they deserved this considering their performance in the match.
Currently at least until week 9 there is a club that can make PSG competitive and hopefully Marseille will continue like this because it will be interesting for the competition for the title.

As you said Marseille really deserved to win, because Marseille have players of better quality than Angers. The Marseille players have
a very good finishing, so the chances they get can be converted into 3 goals. In fact, if we look at the statistics, Angers has a number of shots
that are not much different from Marseille. The problem is that the Angers front line has a very bad finishing, that's why none of the opportunities

Losing Gerzino Nyamsi in the middle of the first half clearly meant that Strasbourg couldn't do much and the win was quite striking for Rennes in this match.
Actually for the beginning of the first half I liked watching Strasbourg play but indeed with a 1 player advantage it was clear that Rennes was superior in every way in this match.
This result further immersed Strasbourg in the relegation zone with never a win.

But yes, how much is Marseille's focus on Ligue 1 but I think they will still hard to maintain its performance until the end. Because PSG's form this season is very promising, not only in Ligue 1 but PSG is also very promising to appear longer in the Champions League. Since Christophe Galtier became the new coach of PSG it has really had a very good impact on the team's performance, even though PSG also won the Ligue 1 title the previous season. Maybe they can do it, maybe not - it's one thing to play "sub-optimally" against weak opponents and still win, and another thing to play against strong opponents (some of which I have listed) when every little thing matters. At the beginning and middle of last season, I observed an obvious pattern - when the trio played together, then PSG played clearly worse than when one of the trio was absent (either Messi, then Neymar due to injury). PSG were under control of the match in both halves actually. Nice had only 4 shots in total and only one of them was on target. This proves how much PSG dominated the match however they couldn't reflect this onto the score very easily. They didn't start with Mbappe which might be one of the biggest reasons. He entered the game in place of Ekitike after an hour passed in the match and scored the winning goal of the match also. Neymar was very ineffective in this match by the way. If it was a Champions League match then their opponent would be more merciless.

But I assume that PSG didn't want to consume their energy too much in this match taking the Champions League match in a few days into account. Their minds must have been there mostly as they can guarantee their lead if they get good results against Benfica.

Sorry mate shit happens in football. Nice were impressive in their attack although not good enough to have secured a draw. At some point i was expecting a draw after the equalising goal by NICE because their defensee got so tight afterwards. But PSG had to play with so much team work and extra pressure before Mbappe could net the ball.

I don't feel it was because they didn't want to consume their energy, that was a very important game for them too and i feel their performance was the way it was because some of their players were tired after playing for their countrries last week, and they also had a short time to prepare as a group for this match, but it didn't cost them, as a win is a win, and the most important thing is the three points which they got. People always expect psg to win 4-0, 5-0, etc, but they forget that in football no matter how strong you are, you can't win big all the time.
