In the next few hours we will get the first Ligue 1 match between Monaco - Nantes. I wonder if it will be an easy match and bet for Monaco to get a win in this opening match. If we look only from head to head then obviously, Monaco are in control but I'm still cautious because this is the opening game with a squad that may have changed will be the difference in the game.

@hahay it’ll be an interesting match to watch because the first game is always special, both the teams will be fresh and will try to win this game. However Monaco does looks strong to me, at least on paper so while it’s a risky idea you might as well try but don’t wager too much also.

Monaco should be the favorite between the two teams based on preseason matches they won all while Nantes won 2 out of five although such analysis might not determine the outcome of today's game  I agreed that  first match in new season can be dicey because of freshness and strength of both team but Monaco has quality players and finished strongly last season compared to Nantes who narrowly escaped relegation I am predicting a 2-0 in favor of Monaco

Monaco is the favorite in this match,the only problems both teams are facing is that this is just the first round most teams arent in the form.But i think there shouldnt be much of a problem for Monaco in this match but they always start the league really slow and catch up later

Nantes performed very poorly in a friendly match, but AS Monaco performed quite well, they (AS Monaco) only lost to Real Sociedad.

I think, today's match was easy enough for AS Monaco to get their first 3 points

The first match of the season cannot be based of pre season friendlies result and for me, I say the 3 points are there for grabs in the French leagues first tie of the 2021/2022 season. Nantes seem to be the underdog for this tie and i believe it will be a goal scoring draw. 2-2

I said that this will be a tough game for Monaco because this is the first match of the season.Even tho they were a better team they didnt win.Nantes should be really happy with this draw away against a big team such as Monaco. Monaco always starting slow the season.

The season has started with the game between Monaco and Nantes. I was expecting it to be an easy one for Monaco actually. Because Nantes had a really bad season and barely managed to stay in the league. And Monaco had a quite good season. But this shows clearly that Monaco are still not fully prepared for the season.

Tomorrow, we are going to see two games of the big clubs in the league:

Lyon - Brest
Troyes - PSG

I expect both of the favorites to win without having much problem and start the season nicely.

You should not expect only wins at the beginning of the championship, because the season is long and a lot can change and those who started the season with a shock may not be able to maintain their set pace. Moreover, Monaco will play 8 games in August, and taking into account Niko Kovac, the rotation was made when, compared to the recent match with Sparta, Golovin, Ben Yedder and Foffana remained on the bench.And when they already entered the football field in the second half, the club simply did not have time to rebuild the team game in order to squeeze the opponent and achieve a positive result in the form of a win. But it is quite clear that Monaco also keeps in mind the upcoming qualifying matches for the Champions League.

Finally Ligue 1 started today with Monaco vs. Nantes game. Monaco was better side but they could only get one point. Gelson Martins scored a nice goal, Caio Henrique's assist was great. They conceded a goal at the end of first half by a corner organisation. Second half we didn't see any goals so it finished as a draw. I don't think Monaco is happy with this result, they should've won at home. This is not their first game of the season, they also played in Champions League qualification game 3 days ago, so they should be prepared for the league better than Nantes.

If I may pitch in here, my heart is aching when I see players like Mbappe play against Troyes and teams like that for a whole season. In Spain you did at least have the clasico, which was like a champions league final every single time. When they met in Copa del rey, same thing. But in France it is not like that. When Messi joins PSG as well and Neymar, Messi and Mbappe score 90 goals together, what's the point? It all comes down to the CL then.

It is true that PSG will dominate League 1 if Lionel Messi joined, the transfer is becoming true, if become true, PSG will dominate the league, but not only that, PSG will also become more threat in Champions League, there will be more probability that PSG are getting closer to the day they will win Campaigns League which is what they have longed for.

Troyes is a promoted team and I think it's still not certain that Troyes will stay in Ligue 1 for the next season, although in the first match he can perform well but in the PSG squad there are still many players who are rested. Paris SG beat Troyes 2-1 away. It was an interesting match. We conceded 3 goals in 21 minutes. I was expecting more goals in the match, but the match ended with this score. Paris SG scored with Icardi and Hakimi. No goals were scored in the ongoing matches.

I also see it positively, because Neymar got injured a lot. PSG now have experienced players to replace Neymar if he will injured before the crucial match.

I saw in an article that tomorrow Messi will have a medical test before signing the contract so I think it's almost 90% Lionel Messi so moved to PSG and the 10th was introduced to his fans.
The PSG squad is full of talent so this is how Mauricio Pochettino can play players who fit their criteria and with many players there will be more players on the bench or I don't know if Mauricio Pochettino will sell some players?

I think this is PSG's big ambition for all the cups this season with a lot of talented players being brought in.
