This is indeed quite possible for Lens, because from what they have shown and got this season, Lens is a very extraordinary team because they are able to be in second place in the Ligue1 standings with a point difference that is not so far from PSG. This proves that Lens is a team to pay attention to in Ligue1 every season including next season too, because Lens can really present a slightly more interesting competition in Ligue1 this season.

Yes indeed, I personally prefer Lens to win the Ligue 1 title this season, because Lens has managed to maintain its consistency very well. Because so far, Lens is the only team that has only gotten one defeat for the home match. At least that is a very extraordinary achievement that the Lens team was able to get, because basically Lens is not a big team with high finances.
So yes, I also hope Lens is able to keep up this form for next season. And the thing is, for me, I don't see any big European success for them with or without Messi.

it seems that you are exaggerating too much about messi, there are many teams out there who have had great success without messi so that PSG will still be able to have great success without messi, what PSG needs right now is managing the resources (ability of the players) that they have well and effective. PSG, I see, is just a waste of money by collecting 3 of the world's most expensive players on their front lines, but in the UCL arena, they have never been successful.

If I had to to make a choice whom I prefer to make it into the Champions League, I would go with Lens. I like the story behind it. When smaller clubs achieve something big, it is good to see because that also keeps up the excitement for the fan community. I know that could mean we might not get to see the best soccer possible in every game sometimes, but if Lens keeps performing and win their spot in the Champions League, that's great.

Both are facing about the same challenge on the coming weekend in terms of strength of their opponent. This one will be a close race for the 2nd spot till the end. Difficult to tell who might have a little bit of an advantage here.

Indeed, the competition between these two teams for a slot each for the European competition is very interesting, especially since the slot for the European league is much better than the conference league. I think Rennes will be up against a relatively easy team to beat, whereas Lille will be up against a very difficult team. Maybe Rennes will be slightly favored to shift Lille's position this week and if Lille can beat Marseille, of course there will be no change in the standings this week.

For sure Marseille will not give up even though they are currently securing a champions league qualification spot but for sure they want to get a champions league place without qualification and therefore they should be able to overtake Lens. It looks like Lille won't win this time if you see their winning potential is so slim.

Well, who's at fault in this case, we can compare it with City. these two clubs, are owned by Arab and Qatari. they are not short of money financially, even these two clubs can buy the players they want, but there are other differences between these two teams. City is handled by competent people, while PSG is handled by incompetent management. City have coaches, players, who are really quality. while PSG, only sharp on the front lines but weak in other sectors. plus, a coach who has no experience, has not even been tested by his reputation in the European league arena. so, there is a fundamental problem that must be fixed.

If we were to guess, would Galtier want to build a team from scratch with his picks. or, he has no control over any of it and just runs the system with available players. most likely, the second option is the most appropriate. so, if PSG want to compete on the European stage they have to choose the right coach, players with potential and not just for the front line. but everything is even, because football is teamwork.

Talking about Messi's departure, PSG can bring in a younger and potential replacement. however, not only for the front line.
IMO, PSG must make big changes in the next season. well, it's interesting to see what they will do in the upcoming transfer market. But before that, Galiter and his squad must finish the game with a win. at the very least, they should win two of the remaining three matches. that way, PSG confirmed the league title this season.

Lens and Marseille deserve to qualify for next season's Champions League to represent Ligue 1. PSG, Lens and Marseille are good and they are the teams that deserve it in my opinion, but one of them Lens and Marseille has to do it through the qualifying round.

Lens could have a big chance to automatically qualify for the Champions League next season to accompany PSG, but of course they must maintain their good form in the next 3 matches. Every one of those matches was crucial for Lens, so they couldn't afford to drop a single point to make it happen. It will be interesting to look forward to how these two teams fight for the automatic ticket, because the two are only 2 points apart.

It looks like Ligue 1 has to get four Champions League tickets, two Europa Leagues and one Europa Conference League to make it on par with other leagues. Because until now Ligue 1 only has the top five teams getting tickets for the European tournament, and even then the third place still has to go through the play-off round for the Champions League.

Because at this moment the Ligue 1 competition is also very competitive and unfortunately, teams like Lille, Rennes and maybe Lyon are only fighting for fifth place which will only get Europa Conference League tickets.

I agree, there are a lot of talks about Neymar leaving this summer and going to some other team, Newcastle is getting their money machine ready for him as well and that could very well happen. They spent so much money on him and he didn't play in that many games and kept getting injured and missing games all the time so PSG wants to get rid of him for a good amount of money again. They can't get the record breaking amount again obviously, but they can at least get rid of him for like 100+ million, if that happens that means they can buy another player who would be more often playing and that is better.

A player doesn't need to be better than Neymar to replace him, he just needs to be there, and as long as that happens they will be happy. When that happens, Messi could leave as well, it makes sense.

With their current condition, it will actually be a little difficult for Lille, but on the other hand they inevitably have to play with full conditions now, especially their position is still not safe so that inevitably the points must be obtained in this match if they do not want to decline again in standings.

I guess you meant the top 3 (and a ticket to the Champions League). I don't think that Marseille is still worried about it as they only need to score 2 points in the remaining 3 games to be out of Monaco's reach. Even if Marseille lose to Lille, they still have Brest and Ajaccio left to play - it's pretty hard not to win at least one of them

That doesn't make sense regarding Neymar and Messi. Yes they are friends and yet they like to play with each other, but I am sure Messi hasn't ever considered for a second to go to PSG because Neymar went to PSG. Neymar went to PSG four years before Messi went there. Neymar's decision was all about the money back then and nothing to do with friendship obviously, or otherwise he would have stayed in Barcelona. I still don't understand why he didn't stay in Barcelona because it was a great team that was set to win titles.

We all know some of the facts now and the money that was offered to Messi. Do you think when someone puts 400 million on the table that Messi thinks about Neymar whether to accept the offer or not? I am sure that that is not happening.

Marseille will not lose the third place, that's pretty much obvious. The question is how far they could go in the remaining 3 games in order to pick Lens place.
Monaco will most likely end the season fourth, so a ticket for Europa League group stage and the 5th position for the Conference League will be the hardest to guess since Lille and Rennes are close from each other. Lyon are close to them but I doubt they could overtake them both.

So, on the other hand, Lille is in quite a pressured situation in maintaining their ranking because they chose a fairly close point gap with Rennes in 6th place. So there is a possibility that Rennes could take over 5th place if Lille fails in the match against Marseille.
