I am no longer sure if PSG could win any upcoming match vs a good team in Ligue 1 or not. Even top teams in this league are dropping hard and even worse than normal teams. Lyon, Lorient, Marseille and Lens are in the other half of the table and even in the last ranks. PSG are in the 5th place and will face Rennes 7th which didn't lose any match yet. Normally we should PSG are favourite but I won't be surprised if the opposite or a draw occur. I am afraid Luis Enrique situation will be awkward if his team continue to fail.

Rennes performance in Ligue 1 not really bad until 7 matches keep unbeaten but they loss many points after having 5 games with draw result and winning two matches of seven matches in Ligue 1. Lack of consistency performance from PSG seems difficult for predicting will easily PSG get their three points or Rennes will make second loss for PSG in Ligue 1.

PSG need these 3 points in order to proceed to the 3rd or 4th place depending from Brest result and to keep 2 points difference behind Monaco and one point behind Nice, so they could claim the first place whenever the other two drop.

Nantes managed to win in the away match with a narrow score against Strasbourg. Marcus Coco scored his first goal for Nantes in the 50th minute and Samuel Moutossammy followed in the 58th minutes a distance that was as close as a Nantes player could create. Strasbourg had difficulty scoring goals because they were 2 goals behind Nantes, but in the last minute Moise Sahi was able to score his first goal for Strasbourg but still Strasbourg had to accept the defeat and let 3 points go to Nantes.
Currently Nantes is just above Strasbourg in 8th position but only 1 point different from Strasbourg.

A very good result from Nantes because they managed to beat the hosts and steal full points at the same time. This narrow victory was felt to be very meaningful for Nantes to improve their position in the standings, having previously been at the bottom of the table. This is Strasbourg's second defeat after last week they also lost to Lens and even though I thought they could be quite surprising since the start of the season, with this result they entered the top 10 of the Ligue 1 standings and at the same time shifted Strasbourg's position by 1 point.

Of course, Nantes' victory in this match is a source of pride because they managed to occupy the top 10 of the standings and it is likely that Nantes will fight hard in the matches they will play and will maintain their position in the top 10, at least that is a safe position so that Nantes avoids the relegation zone.

The next match Nantes will face Montpellier, this will be a match that is quite difficult to predict, both have almost the same chance of winning and only have a difference of 2 points. Yes indeed, PSG still does not have a stable performance and therefore, predicting the results of PSG matches is a difficult prediction. That is right the first half of the Ligue 1 season last year was quite ok. They had 15 wins, 2 draws and 2 losses. We could debate whether they should lose any game at all with their squad, but ok. It is still a good performance.

But you said something that is very important. When they got eliminated from the Champions League, it was as if they were lost. That was proof that the only thing PSG is playing for and that also applies to the players, is the Champions League title. They don't really care about the Ligue 1 title because that is almost a given. But once they get eliminated from the Champions League, the season can already be considered a waste.

After having poor performances in the previous matches and losing about 5 games out of eight,  they've finally secured  their 1st winning and though the 3-1 win they secured today couldn't take them away from the relegation zone but it would help boost the confidence level of the players to do better in their next match and I hope they bounce back into a good form soon and leave the relegation zone.

 Anyways they were definitely the favorites to win cause they were playing with a team that's currently in the same level as them this season, the 2nd half have just kicked off and lyon ar still dominating the game with a good percentage and I doubt that Lorient would be able to get a comeback, Lyon's star player Lacazette is at his best today and have secured a brace and I feel he'll score another goal to make it a hat-trick.

It is not over until the game ends, Lorient has gotten a second goal through Eli Junior Kroupi. The French International's brace has rekindled the hope for his club to at least get a draw in this game. In terms of ball possession, Lorient has the upper hand but Lyon has created more chances than the visitors. This game has created fewer chances but both teams have maximized the little opportunities they had. Considering that PSG's performance is very unstable, both on the front line and in defense, it is natural that there are many doubts about this team when it comes to their match. We know that PSG were previously beaten by Newcastle and drew against Clermont the previous week. In this match, I tried to refer to several sources for predictions of Luis Enqieu's squad line-up. There are several differences that Enrique will use in this match, I'm not even sure what pattern Enrique will use. but if Enrique experiments with a 4-2-3-1 system again, like when they played against Newcastle, I really doubt they will win this match. except, Enrique continues to play Mbappe on the wing. Apart from that, ideally Kolo Muani should be the center forward rather than Gamcalo Ramos.

As for other predictions, Enrique will apply his flagship system with a 4-3-3 pattern. However, it seems that there is a rotation being carried out. referring to this prediction, Mbappe will play as a center forward, Barcola and Dembele will continue to play on the wings.  the rest, no change. From several predictions that I refer to, this 4-3-3 pattern is ideal for me.

Now we are talking from Rennes side, their performance is not that good. However, in their 7 matches they are unbeaten. 2 wins, 5 matches ended in a draw. in other competitions, they have just been defeated by Villarreal in the Europa League. Apart from that, it seems that Rennes has a pretty good defense, they only conceded 7 goals in 7 Ligue 1 matches. Brest has disappointed their fans today with a poor performance against Toulouse, they were the  favorites to win the games based on their performances and position in the league their odds was even very favorable but they conceded in the 1st half and failed to get a reply, I'm suprised to see that a team that were in the 2nd position and are playing carelessly against a team that were in the 11th position on the table.

  Suprisenly they scored an equalizer at the extra time of the game and atleast secured a point to get about 15 points just a point behind Nice, and if they has won they would've remained in the 2nd position, however Toulouse would be more disappointed at themselves for conceding a goal at the late minutes of the game, they would've moved up to 7th position if they had won the game.

The odds providers might have special reason they put rennes's odds very high. I can't even believe it rennes got 4 for this match. Betting on rennes is not that bad for someone who was willing to take the risk.
PSG was never winning against rennes when it was playing away since a few years ago. I think this trend will still continue.

I double doubt League 1 defending Champions would want to lose this game tonight, so I picked the safest and that would be if both sides shared the points. So far, we've seen the game ongoing without a single goal.
