Monaco winning breath may mean they will be at the second position on the table with a point behind PSG, and a point above Nice, they are currently leading by a goal and the second half of the game just kicked off few minutes back with Monaco playing at home.

Another point loss for Lyon...    I don't know why bookies showed Lyon as this big favourite for this game against Metz. Even though it was a home game too Lyon were still in horrible shape. They were literally the worst team in the league with their form. But seeing those odds made me think about whether it would be a sign for Lyon to finally get a win.

But no. It wasn't like that at all. They could have even lost the game if that equalizer didn't come in the last 10 minutes. Even Lacazette can't focus on his game this season. He was maybe the best player of the team last season. They can really relegate if they go on like this but the season is still long.

It looks like Lyon can't be helped this season and they still haven't won so far. It is natural that the bookies favor Lyon, apart from being the host, their opponent is also the promotion team this season, namely Metz. However, what happened was unexpected, even Lyon was unable to beat Metz and had to be willing to share 1 point with a draw. It seems like there is no chance for Lyon to escape the relegation zone and even if there were, it would have to be a miracle to get them through this bad result. PSG's performance seems consistent to me now. Although they were inconsistent in the early part of the season, they are now performing consistently in both the Champions League and Ligue 1. PSG are unbeaten in their last five Ligue 1 matches and have picked up full points in four. Looking at their performance in the last 5 matches, we should not have any doubts about their consistency. Luis Enrique may have got the trick on how to get the best performance out of this team and he is applying that trick which is why the PSG team is getting one success after another. PSG are consistent now and if they play according to plan, they will be very consistent in the upcoming matches as well.

PSG have improved after they didn't have a convincing start to the season. I know it's too easy for people to say something bad even though PSG only got 1 defeat and 3 draws in 10 matches, but the fact is that PSG can still lead the standings even if Nice has a chance to take it again today.

I just wonder why Ousmane Dembélé is still having trouble scoring goals after having 10 appearances. Ousmane Dembélé has 3 assists so far, but he has not scored a single goal so far in 13 appearances including in the Champions League. His performance was good, but however Ousmane Dembélé doesn't seem like the typical player who is hungry for goals. Kylian Mbappé represents his team on the top scorer table with 10 goals in 10 appearances, he has also scored 2 goals in 3 appearances in the Champions League so far.

After beating Brest in this match, now Monaco stays in the race and there is not a huge gap between them and teams on the top of the table like Nice and PSG.
Monaco had everything they wanted to get in this match and had a close race with Brest but Monaco used the opportunities much better than this team.
But I still think Monaco lost many points during this season in the games we saw from them so far otherwise they could even have a better situation than this.

Yeah, by looking at the current standings it is quite interesting to wait for how the continuation will happen later because indeed these 3 clubs are still quite consistent even if you look at the current standings their points are only 1 point away from each position.

I mean, I hope French Ligue 1 will develop into a fiercely competitive league like the English Premier League. From my perspective, it appears that things are reverting back to the way they were, with the winner of the game playing a significant role in this transition. Rennes loses the game against nice which is very good result for nice.

Indeed, before the match started, I was sure that Nice could beat Rennes because Nice performance this season was quite good when compared to last season. Every season we see several teams competing for the title at the beginning of the season, but in the end, PSG is the champion. This season seems to be the same. The Nice and Monaco teams have been performing quite well so far. But personally I don't think Nice have the ability to win the title. Because Nice has managed to maintain consistency so far though. They are doing very well and are at the top of the points table. However, Nice's attacking performance is poor. The team managed to score only 13 goals in 11 matches. Monaco, on the other hand, have a chance to grab top spot in the table if they can win against Lille in their last match. But Monaco missed the opportunity. For these reasons I think we will see PSG at the top of the table in the next few weeks.

Monaco performed quite well in yesterday match to get 3 additional points closer to PSG and this is what I like about league 1 when PSG wants to get the league 1 title to defend it requires hard work that must continue to be done because Monaco will continue to put pressure on PSG so competition becomes more competitive to be able to maintain the top of the standings. and for Brest it could have made the match a draw but several shots towards Monaco goal were not on target and there was only 1 shot that almost went into Monaco goal but all of that failed and I just thought that if Brest could not compete to win at least they should choosing a defensive formation getting a draw for 1 point is much better but after all it all depends on the coach and well, it does not matter the most important thing is that my bet won because I chose Monaco, cheers

and for Nice I admit that this team has a fairly stable performance but what I think is how ridiculous Rennes was when Ndayishimiye got a red card and left the match Rennes should have been able to turn things around for a draw but apparently they could not turn things around, the score was even worse Warmed Omari also got red card and for me this is ridiculous for Rennes but the most important thing is that Nice can win.

Hopefully, this can last until the end of the season, when the competition for Ligue 1 champions will take place between the three teams PSG Nice and Monaco because there are still so many matches that have to be played so anything is still possible, where these teams fail to maintain their consistency so it will only be leaving PSG or Nice firmly at the top of the standings, even who will be champion can already be seen when there are still a few matches remaining, so this again reduces interest in the results of the remaining matches, and unfortunately things like this often happen, player injuries and other things making it difficult for teams to still be able to win, especially when they are still playing in other competitions.
Usually, with a very tight point difference, big matches are highly anticipated, such as at the end of November PSG will face Monaco, beating Monaco will give PSG a big advantage.

These clubs are getting the same red card. The only problem if nice was able scoring before it has gotten a red card. This is obviously impacting the performance from rennes after that. Another problem was rennes got red card like nice. It makes the chance of rennes to take the three points from its competitor become even smaller than before. It's not a lucky day for rennes. nice is once again able defending its position at the top place. This club is having potential to be a very strong club this season.
It seems like that nice will be competing with PSG to get the UCL spot this season. Monaco is still leading the competition right now.

I think the so said decline of PSG is not set in stone yet. They are playing erratically so far, but I believe if they can stabilize their game over the coming weeks, we might be talking differently about them very soon. They do have potential and in my opinion that is out of of the question, but can they play their best game over several weeks and months? That great win against AC Milan, that win away which wasn't easy against Stade Brest and then the crystal clear performance against Montpellier, I think this is the PSG team that should be paid some respect to. I want to see how they can do in the next few games and maybe we should still not underestimate them in the Champions League either yet.

The difference now finally is that they are dominating the games and not win with just one goal difference. That is what everyone expected when they see their attacking line with these superstars although I think that Dembele will only be a talent throughout his whole career. He isn't a superstar in my opinion, but he has always been treated and transferred like one.

Mbappe, no need to discuss about him, but it is still the same as it has been for a while at PSG. If the attacking line delivers a top performance, every other team in Europe will have problems winning against PSG, but only one game is enough when they don't score 3 or more goals and then the defense is still overwhelmed more often than not.

why aren't you happy to see Nice performing well at the moment and continuing to create consecutive wins isn't it good because league 1 is not only dominated by PSG's victory, indeed last season Nice didn't really appear consistently apart from league 1, didn't you also see that PSG also only appeared good in league 1 and can only win the title in league 1, PSG has not yet tasted the title in the champions league even though if you look at it PSG always passes the group stage but PSG cannot win the title there.
and in my personal opinion Nice is much better than before I think with Nice's current performance next season Nice will be able to play in the champions league for the first time and compete with elite clubs, of course the competition in league 1 and in the champions league is clearly different but we can see whether Nice can be better than PSG in the champions league next season

But believe me the strong performances by PSG are important for many reasons and one of them is that Khelaifi knows if PSG falls apart because of bad results and the fans also insult Mbappe and blame him for the downfall, the chances that Mbappe will stay for any longer than he has to will drop significantly. A strong PSG team that is highly competitive and perhaps also takes on some challenges in the Champions League successfully also raises the chances for Khealifi to convince Mbappe once again to extend his contract with them.

2 things that will not be able to happen here Because talking about performance now, it is certain that it will be very difficult for PSG, especially when talking about the Champions League because they are always faced with clubs that are difficult for them to pass so that the knock out phase for 2 seasons has never changed which makes this a consideration that should be more for Mbappe. and the second is the fans of PSG itself. We know what their fans are like, even some of them (not all) do not hesitate to come to the player's house just to make curses that are not too comfortable to listen to so such conditions will never change because the fans of PSG will also never regret what they have always done until now.

If PSG can sustain the level they momentarily have although I am talking only about the last 2 or 3 weeks, I believe that they can hurt some of the strong teams in the Champions League. Last season they were up a against Bayern Munich, which was in relatively good form although not their best, but Bayern Munich played two solid games and won deservedly. But if Bayern Munich has one of those days when the struggle, the strong attacking line of PSG could break through and score several goals.

I don't think PSG could beat Real Madrid or Manchester City in two games in total. Maybe at home, but in the away game I wouldn't see much of a chance for them.
