It's good to see Lyon finally starting to move this winter and they added strength to their attack line by bringing in a young Nigerian striker, Gift Orban. He was previously a player for Gent in the Belgian top flight league and Lyon signed him on a permanent basis until 2028. This could be an important solution for Lyon who are currently having problems scoring goals and with the presence of Gift Orban it is hoped that they can improve their overall performance.

If you look at his statistics last season, Gift Orban is a prolific striker who scored 15 goals in one season and this season he still scored 3 goals. However, what is clear is that his experience will increase when he is in a better league and with Lyon he can increase his playing time in Europe's top five leagues.

Last summer Gift Orban was into radar several big teams just like AC Milan, Tottenham and Barcelona this because Gift Orban can successfully to impress these teams when he still playing at FC Stabaek and when Gift Orban decide moved to KAA Gent he still able to managed his performance which make those teams above will thinking possibility to buy him but i don't know why this transfer never happend and now Lyon has successfully to gets his signs and apparently Lyon has really know his potention so they dare to give Gift Orban long term contract duration

Front lines indeed one of the biggest weaknesses for Lyon because from all of the current striker which they have only Alexandre Lacazette who can able to performing well with scores 8 goals during this season but other players just like Rayan Cherki or Mahamadou Diawara is unable to play as expected besides that Lyon will lost Ernest Nuamah because this player defend Ghana at Africa Cup however Gift Orban can be played in different positions just like a winger or centre striker but Gift Orban previously only playing with small team and i am sure he will required more time to adapt with Lyon so lets see this could be a good transfer or not

well they started pretty good at the early stages of the season and even kept a good unbeaten run for a while, everyone felt they were the team to challenge PSG's dominance this season not until they started dropping points and even allowed PSG to top the league to an extent of gapping them with about 8points currently. I don’t see them closing the gap, cause PSG is in a very good form recently, their players are now beginning to communicate better on the pitch, hence their recent good form, therefore i don't see them dropping 8 points and letting Nice to come top again.

 Well, Nice tried in getting this far cause of their strong defense line, i think they should try maintaining this position and qualify for the UCL, which would attract upcoming talents to join their team, they have one major area to work on, which is the attack and i think if they could bring in a natural born top 9 that could come in and adapt well into their system then they’ll be good to go for the title challenge next season. Atleast they're better than Monaco that are currently in 4th position.

I was convinced that the Nice team would not be able to compete with PSG for the title. They will lag behind the competition. Because Nice team is second in the table but this team is not strong enough.

Nice managed to score only 19 goals in 18 matches. Lorient, who are at the bottom of the points table, have also scored 21 goals in 18 matches. The performance of Nice's attacking players is very poor. This is the reason why this party is slowly going backwards. Nice have lost three of their last five matches. Even if it's not excessive, PSG looks like they will sweep all future matches in Ligue 1, even though in unstable conditions they can win the trophy at the end of the season. It's not right if you equate Brest with Girona because after all, Brest also comes from a lower position and that's different about Girona in La Liga which still has higher points than Real Madrid at this moment. Therefore, I think it would be more appropriate to compare Brest with Stuttgart in the Bundesliga because they only fill the top four positions without posing a significant threat to the top of the standings . Also, in the next Ligue 1 match, Brest will play away against PSG and thus, it looks like Brest's winning streak will be broken here. Because yes, even though Brest is in a good trend at this moment but yes, I don't think that factor will stop PSG from getting the three points at home.

Before PSG was so dominant, it was Olympique Lyon for years and Olympique Marseille before that.

If there are many people who say Mbappe is currently in the wrong league, this should have been said long ago. Because Ligue1 is not as famous as other leagues such as in England and Italy, but at least Mbappe is already known to many people through Ligue1 and still has time to move to another league if he really wants it this season or the next season. But isn't the mother mostly kidding? As far as I understand this, she is asking for 10 billlion if PSG wants Mbappe to stay. Nonetheless, maybe she isn't kidding at all

But whatever is going to happen in this drama, staying at PSG would be a massive mistake. If they really pay a salary that brings him several billion dollars if he signs a life-long contract, well that would be crazy. I don't know what to say then, but I couldn't call it "wrong" if Mbappe then says yes as I think every human being would say yes then. Unless you are a billionaire already. But financial fair play would probably not allow that unless they pay his family members most of the money as some advisor or something. No idea whether that would fall under the financial fair play regulation.

I predicted this before, because I saw they couldn't have very good goal productivity. Even though they are considered strong defensively, if they can't score goals, that won't allow them to win. There is always a weakness in the clubs that provide competition to Paris Saint Germain, and this time NIce is showing it.
If only they had a very sharp attacking line, I'm sure they would be close to Paris Saint Germain or even they would be above Paris Saint Germain. Since the start of the season, I've had this feeling that Nice performing really well might not sustain their success till the end. I've noticed this pattern in football, especially in the French league, multiple times. Teams would start with great performances, even topping the table, but as the season progressed, they would begin to struggle, even if their key players weren't dealing with injuries. On the flip side, teams like PSG, who initially didn't do so well, somehow managed to become stronger as the season unfolded and clinch the league title.

I didn't necessarily expect the nice to win the league this season, but I did hope they should give PSG a tough challenge by maintaining their form and not experiencing a drop in performance. It's like a story unfolding, where the underdog team has the potential to surprise everyone and make the league more exciting. However, my concern is rooted in past experiences where promising starts often don't translate into sustained success in the world of football.

This isn't something that rarely happens, remember how Arsenal was last season? they also managed to top the standings at the start of the season, but as time went by, they failed to show their consistency in the PL, just like in this league, we have to be honest with ourselves that PSG are the rulers here and whatever their condition at the start of the season, they will always be able to rise.

So far they have been quite convincing, but in the next 2 league matches, they will meet strong teams (PSG & Nice) which have the potential to prevent Brest from getting a single point. If that happens, maybe Brest will end up in 6th or 7th place (after 2 weeks of league matches have passed).

Kylian Mbappe without doubt have been the best Paris Saint Germaine player of the last three seasons as his statistics for the club strongly backs my claims but for the past seven months, there's been series of reports concerning his future at the club. Last summer, the French international was offered many transfer deals including a deal that'll make him the highest paid footballer in the world which he outrightly rejected. The management of the club have tried to convince him commit his future at the club by extending his contract with the club but every effort to actualize that have been abortive.

For Kylian Mbappe not to have extended his contract with the French champions by this time despite playing in the last season of his current contract, I don't think he's interested in signing and contract extension paper at the club. Mbappe I think is definitely gonna leave Paris Saint Germaine at the end of the season i think his potential destination is gonna be Real Madrid

It's true, additional midfielders and defenders are also needed because if you only improve one position it won't support the other positions in a match. It was even rumored that PSG would firmly sell Mbappe in this transfer market if there was no decision and agreement. However, until now it still hasn't cleared up. It looks like Mbappe will still remain at PSG until his contract ends and then go to his long-standing dream club, namely Real Madrid.

In the French League, competition is not tight and PSG always dominates everything. But at least in next week's match, they will face an opponent who could be quite troublesome, namely Brest, who is currently in 3rd place.
