So I hope Monaco and Marseille can continue to be consistent in building their respective players in order to compete closely with PSG who have been known as the kings of Ligue1 so far.

The odds are like these. First of all, Monaco are having a superb season by still being one of the only teams without a loss. They are the leader now. I can't say Lille are bad either. They are decent in the league and it hasn't been much time since they did a huge work by defeating Real Madrid home in the Champions League.  

I'm so confused about what to bet on. I assume I will try my luck with Monaco @1.97. BTTS @1.65 could also be a decent option considering they are productive teams.

In my opinion, when these two teams play, there is no clear favorite, anything can happen during the game, I say this because in the last 3 games in which both teams faced each other, Monaco won 1 game, Lille won 1 game and had 1 game drawn.

From the previous 5 matches, there are 3 matches that I noticed that both teams can sometimes excel at their respective home or in other words Monaco and Lille are both more confident and appear stronger at their respective home.
But looking at the performance this season, both teams are equally strong and if we choose to bet on the BTTS option it seems very risky and the comfortable option seems to be choosing to bet on under 2.5 or under 3.
From 7 matches, Monaco only conceded 4 times and Lille conceded 8 times. This means that both teams will choose to use a defensive strategy.

I think PSG have been dominant in Ligue 1. They have left their rivals behind. To challenge them requires a lot of changes. More investment, brand power, and expertise. And if you look at those aspects, Marseille and Monaco cannot compete with PSG. Therefore, the highest goal of Marseille and Monaco is still to win a ticket to the Champions League.

Look at you, in recent seasons, both Monaco and Marseille have been doing a lot of business, but most of it is for profit. As a result, the current squad does not have a single star capable of leading the team in key matches and important stages of each season. The draw result from Angers few weeks ago is really dissapointing because Marseille is failed to utilize the match against weak team and this result is make Marseille is failed to gets the winning result in the last 2 matches in Ligue 1 and for this weekend i expect they can return to the winning ways and actually it is very possible to do so because Marseille opponent is only Montpellier and just like we know Montpellier also very weak this season because they only can able to gets 1 win from 7 matches and Montpellier defensive lines also very weak because until week 7 Montpellier have already to conceded 21 goals so if we see based on these statistics i think Marseille should be able to beat Montpellier easily so i hopes Marseille will performing well because basically this is not hard match for them

We have good start from few clubs in this season but biggest issue in French Ligue 1 is consistency even top clubs are having troubling time, and they fail to keep themselves at the top level same happening in this season Marseille which was doing good job and have good results due to have participation in only one event French Ligue 1 but suddenly now they are going down after having defeat against Strasbourg they held by Angers at home which is huge setback.

Upcoming weeks could be not easy while they have big game against PSG at home they needed to be had good and competitive performance if they want to bring good results and have good chance of staying into hunt for the European competitions which they missed in this season Montpellier game could be good for them while after break and before PSG big game which is also coming in few days.

But if PSG gets back on track, it will be difficult for Monaco to hold onto the top spot in the table.

The thing about another team winning the championship is we are not really seeing anything change afterwards. Look at Lille, they won the league during PSG dominance era but then what happened? They became not so great later on and PSG continued to dominate like nothing happened.

This is why I believe winning once doesn't mean anything, as long as there are no more competitions after that single season. Monaco could win, but then if Monaco sucks a year later, then who cares? What this league needs is more teams that can compete and this isn't really impossible neither, we could see this potentially happen. How?

Simply, we need to see that Paris FC takeover, which would be a rich person so we could totally see that team become great in a few years with a ton of big name signings. Then we have Monaco doing great already, and Marseille seems like they are spending more too, so that's three teams already, Lille isn't terrible neither and could maybe do good too?

If we have 4 teams giving PSG some trouble then we are going to see PSG having trouble with getting a title. But right now, there are few teams which are remotely close, and because of this PSG just beats every other team.

But more importantly, Monaco's players are capable of performing well. Monaco scored 14 goals and conceded only 4 goals in 7 matches. Monaco's overall performance is very good. If Monaco's players can maintain this consistency, it will be very difficult for PSG to occupy the top spot in the table this season.

In football every point counts and if you drop points along the way then you may loose your spot thereafter and that's why it is important for Monaco to be aware of this fact. There are so many clubs that will be contending for the title this season in France and PSG happen to be one of them, so Monaco has to take every game seriously or else they would be displaced anytime soon by either PSG or any other club behind them because Monaco involved in many competitions which I think might be of the factors that may affect their performances this season as they aim to clinch the title.
