It's such a shame what happened to Monaco and Marseille. Marseille is at least at fourth place, but if they didn't had such a terrible three weeks in a row, they could have been third, and there is still a slight possibility that they could be third if Lyon starts to lose games and considering Lyon has been on a great streak, eventually losing points is a possibility for them.

However Monaco is even in worse situation, they are 8th right now and doing worse. These are teams I expected to be second and third place based on how much money they spent and how they looked before the season started, so them being fourth and eight instead is a very tough situation for them, doesn't look that great for them at all.

Yes, that's really sad for both of them. Especially Monaco are far worse than last season. Their main problem is with the defense. They have just conceded the amount of they scored...

I doubt they can qualify for a European tournament with this form. The most they can do looks like the Europa League even if they make it.

It's because the gap is only 3 points with the 5th place...

PSG vs Lens next match is by April, from now till then, we will judge them based on the matches they will be playing until then. What I like to do is calculate average points per game, which, I think, is a pretty good way to measure performance and whether or not a team is over or underperforming.
Avg points for PSG:
2025/26:  2.32

The fact that PSG lost the position of the table leader to Lens (again) is not necessarily an indication of anything bad happening to PSG. It's just Lens stepped up to the challenge and give PSG a run for their money.

Lyon has good position by securing the top third standings and has opportunity for qualifying to Champion League next season, remaining 5 points from Marseille should be comfortable position for Lyon has impressive performance keep the winning trend last 9 matches in a row at Ligue 1. Seeing the current points, Marseille is the close team for stopping Lyon finish at 3rd position place if can defeating them three weeks later I think Lyon actually secure the top third position, if want back to the Ligue 1 tittle race I think bit difficult by stopping Lens and PSG has gap more than 7 points.

Considering this season Lyon almost got relegated and was in the verge of not even being in the league, playing this good is definitely a great feeling for them.

They are at third place right now, only trailing Lens and PSG who are fighting for the title, and all thanks to them getting a good winning streak when Marseille ended up losing too many points back to back to back. Yes, this can happen because there are still several matches left and they can be a source of points. Their margin is also narrow, which means that with one mistake from Lens, PSG must be able to take advantage properly. But if PSG loses points again, that's a bad sign.

Marseille's performance is a bit erratic but they are not weak. Although their performance in the last three matches has been  erratic. And they have failed to win. Even then I will say marseille will win against brest. Brest is far behind in the points table. Also, marseille has won the last three  matches against brest by a big margin. In the three matches , marseille's players have scored  12 goals and conceded only 2 goals. So I believe that marseille will not  make any mistakes in today's match.

There's logic to averages, but it's not always practically meaningful. For example, in the season when Bayer won the Bundesliga without a single defeat and scored 90 points, while the average champion (Bayern  )scored 72-82 points. PSG are currently performing not much worse than usual, but due to the presence of a new competitor, this may not be enough. Lens has 12 games left to play to take the title from PSG. After 22 games already played, it seems quite achievable, doesn't it?

This is the most important match of the season for both teams. Whoever wins this one has the chance to win the championship. Clearly, this is something for which Lens must give everything and absolutely must not give up, even if i understand that it is a question of playing against a giant like Paris Saint-Germain.

I wish the club has money , I will have encouraged them to get good players to play for them defense and also a good finisher. It must not be a player from the A level clubs who are very expensive, because I know players such as players from big clubs will be too expensive to afford by the club but if you have these middle level players they will still want to play to their best and that will help the club to get better in this situation thy are in currently.

There is no doubt that psg  is a  very strong team. But this season they are not in good form. On the other hand , in the past seasons, no other team has been able to put up a strong resistance against psg  for the ligue 1 title. But Lens is in very good form this season.

There is no doubt that psg  still has the best chance of winning the title . But it will not be possible if they can not continue their winning streak. Lens is now at the top of the table. I agree with your analysis. Lens has stepped up this season, and I'm tipping them to win the league title, but even if it doesn't happen, I will still be pleased with the performance. Since beating Nice in matchday 16, they've gone toe-to-toe with PSG and have really made the title race interesting, and not what we used to see in previous seasons.
