Hmm, Monaco is now 5 out of 5, the only team in Ligue 1 to do so and recovering 10 point to the 4th spot...
This might turn as the one comeback if they manage to grab it again this year.

And they are struggling and flexing their muscles just because the season is about to end and they need to qualify for the UCL but without that they just have to be themselves where they lose and draw games, dropping points like a newly promoted side. Honestly, Monaco are not suppose to be classified as one of the big teams in the Ligue 1, imagine the good record but they find it hard to display when the title race was wide open, now they act like a more dominating team. If these guys find their way again to the champions league I bet you they'll still be eliminated without posing any threats to the serious teams (next year's UCL.

Like I said, Lorient are a good team in home games! They showed it against Lens as well. Actually no matter what Lens should have been able to win this one. 20 shots but only 1.21 xG is telling us about the game pretty much... 

PSG will most probably destroy Nantes home and raise the gap with Lens to 4 points again. Even in their inconsistent season they are going for the league title anyway. What a pity for other teams...

It was a disappointing game for Lens, I wasn't sure if it was the Lens that prayed for PSG to drop point that played against Lorient some days back, why drop all 3pt? Now is a big celebration for PSG because they'll do everything possible to get Chelsea off their back and wait for when they'll deal with Nantes, if I'm to be honest, Lens threw the only opportunity of getting close to PSG away, such opportunity doesn't come always and is a one time thing to take advantage of but now they messed things up. Like you said Lorient is good at home but yet I expect more from Lens, is like walking into a fortress.

This has been quite good for PSG because if Lens had won this match, it would have gone above PSG and there is still only 1 point difference between them. Although Lens had drawn this match, it would have been quite good for them and they could have come level with PSG. They did not work hard in this match and Lens could not beat them despite their great performance. Obviously PSG will benefit from this defeat and now they will play well and strengthen Chelsea and lower them even more. Lens must have been regretting it but one thing is that this gap is not far and Lens can still be superior to them, for that they will have to win the match. But they could not prove themselves like this and the opposing team won this match and defeated Lens.

There are still eight matches left in Ligue 1 & with 6 points difference, I think Metz still has a decent chance of escaping the relegation zone. It just depends on how they react to their current situation. If the players care enough about the club, they'll give their best in the remaining matches.

the championship is still very tumultuous and in an unstable phase, so much so that even the best team in the championship, i.e. paris san german, has a lot of difficulty coming out of all these problems, i understand it's not easy to manage a championship like this, i feel like saying that today the French championship has changed a lot

These guys from Metz are very unlucky. They were very close to at least getting a draw, but their bad luck is so great that they conceded a fourth goal in the 90+9th minute and lost the game. It's a defeat that further reduces their hopes of escaping the relegation zone. With 26 games and only 3 wins, Metz doesn't seem likely to avoid relegation. I feel sorry for the players, their fans, the coach, and the club's management, but they don't have a squad capable of avoiding relegation.

Metz are on a 14-game winless streak, and it's difficult for a team that's gone 14 games without a win to win their next games knowing they have the same squad and the same coach. I can't understand what on earth happened to this team. They beat Lens, then Nantes, and then Nice. Those were three consecutive wins, and it seemed like they were finally back to winning ways.

But what followed those three wins was a huge disaster: 14 games without a win. I highly doubt they can get two wins in their remaining games and avoid relegation. They are a very unlucky team.

I don't know if they'll be able to complete everything, after all they're human beings, not machines, sooner or later they'll feel tired and fatigued.

I hope they do not lose with more than 3 goals against Chelsea in the champions League because for them to request  for the postpoment of their game in the  league you could tell that they are very exhausted and fatigued could affect them in their next game. The players are professionals and yes they are humans if they have good second 11 this is the best time to rotate the players the manager can decide to play the 1st team in the champions League then rotate his team in the league match but I doubt if he would do that because of their rivals Lens that is close to them in point.

Yeah Monaco definitely looks like they have recovered very well, but that doesn't mean that they will be top four finish. I know that they are not too far away but how long do you think they can keep this up? They could end up with loss next up and that would mean that they would be gone, I do not think that it makes sense for them to have something like that, we should not be looking into this like that's a possibility.

This is why I think that we are going to see Monaco not be top four this season, but more like fifth or sixth at best case, which is still not a bad one. I know the season started with them thinking easily be top four, but they did too badly until last month and this is why they are barely recovering from that period now.

They've made it easier for PSG to widen the gap if they win their outsiding match and winning that match is very possible for PSG but they'll be more focused on dealing with Chelsea in the Champions League, they've already made it easier but would have to make sure that  Chelsea doesn't do a remontada. As the title defenders it would be disappointing that they go out of the tournament at this stage so I believe PSG won't disappoint thejr fans and fail to qualify for the quarter finals.

I don't think that PSG is a team that will be put down by Chelsea and they have already shown it, i think that they have all the cards in order for them to go through, even if this year they are decidedly less performing than previous years, in particular last year where they won all the available trophies

Paris Saint-Germain is weaker than usual and they were struggling in UEFA Champions League group stage which complicated the situation in Ligue 1. They even skipped a game in the league so they will be ready for UEFA Champions League game tomorrow against Chelsea which should be fine by the way.
talking about the ranking, PSG is the first with a narrow one point gap in front of Lens but after all they still lacks one match, so a potential 4 games difference. It is a buffer zone rather than anything else these 4 points potentially..

At one point I thought Lens were going to utilize the opportunity even though the game will be challenging, I thought they'd scare PSG a little and sit at 1st place but they couldn't, they failed to win and PSG are still sitting at the top despite having the weekend off.

The Ligue 1 seems to be PSG birthright even when they are not at their best they still manage to win the league everytime. No one can challenge them even at their lowest. Lens should not give up, they should keep going in the same direction maybe some things good will happen.

Monaco might be winning now but they are still far from being in the race. Their early mistakes has deprived them the opportunity to challenge for the title so now all they need to make sure is to try and qualify for the champions league.

Now they have to wait for PSG's victory, if PSG loses points now, Lens will still have a good chance. Although there is a competition between 2 teams this season, we want to see 3-4 teams in the upcoming season.

Lens is making Ligue 1 not to look like a farmer league this season them and Paris Saint German has been going up and down in the table now Paris Saint German is up with 1 point though still have a match to play if Lens had won Lorient or play draw they would have level on point but rather they lost 2-1 to Lorient. Paris Saint German has not playing good football this season but from their previous champions league match against chelsea i see improvement in them and at this point that lens has drop points i don't think Paris Saint German will want to gamble with their remaining matches, i believe that Paris Saint German will win the Ligue 1 title but with less point this time.

I think that, no matter the recent performance that Lens has put up which has made them to leave that number one spot in the ligue 1 table, Lens should be commended because it's been a long time we see a team come up this way to challenge PSG in this league. For lens to come up and even top PSG at some time in the league shows that they had a good team and if worked on and strengthen by the club, by bringing in one or two players next season. Lens can be a threat to PSG in the coming season.


As for me I didn't expect that, Lens were going to win the league or stay long on top the ligue 1, this was due to the fact that at some point in the season PSG was still trying to recover from the stress and fatigue they had by playing for last season glorious campaign were they were fantastic winning the champions League for the first time.

When the season is coming to an end like this one, teams that are in the relegation zone tends to perform better just to escape from that zone. Some big teams and middle placed teams on the table don’t always feel comfortable playing with them, because they know how hard to win them and how vigorous they become in order to gather all points from every match to get them out of that zone. A well played game and a well deserved win for Toulouse, I just hope they can get to keep up with that consistency as the remaining matches left for them to be played will give them a chance further moving to the end the season.

I agree with you but can we also say Lens was under pressure and they became desperately in need of the 3pt which damage their style of play, these guys operate like Arsenal of last season where they only have to win and be in top but they had it in mind that they have already won the game but they forgot what their opponent have in mind was completely different so going into the game a friendly game not knowing that their opponent took the game like the final of a competition, that happened to Lens. I hate to see them lose games in this last minute of this campaign, PSG can't wait to increase the point gap.
For me PSG will be having the best of days after finishing with Chelsea, they really don't have anybody who's chasing them with full force, that's because Lens threw away their opportunities too soon.

Ah, no wonder there's no PSG match scheduled this week, whether it's due to the UCL schedule or some other reason, I haven't found a valid answer to PSG's request for the match to be postponed.

Many were disappointed with Lens result, but fortunately, I picked both teams to score, and it worked. It seems Lens is starting to tire of competing with PSG, having only won twice in the last five weeks.

If I'm not mistaken, there were several factors that led to the postponement of the PSG match. This was due to the important schedule and the proximity of PSG UCL preparations, which of course made it impossible to carry out. If forced, the players will not have enough rest time and ultimately their performance will not be optimal. Leading PSG to decide to postpone it, extreme weather was also a factor.

As I've said before, I actually doubt Lens can maintain their consistency to compete closely with PSG. This is evident by Lens dropping three crucial points, so I don't have high expectations for Lens this season, but finishing second is already an achievement for them.

Should we say that Lens was too excited believing that they are going to win Lorient to top the table again before the game even started? This is the worst time any team that is in the tittle race should loss a game because there are only few games remaining for the league to end, just the way Manchester City threw away their tittle race hope by sharing a point with Everton. I see Lorient as a team that is good in defense and hard to loss if they are leading the game that's why they have more draw than win or loss this season, Lens did their best it was a bad game for them but there is still hope for them as no body knows what PSG will play next they could loss or draw but if PSG wins Lens will end this season as a runner-up.
