It's absolutely insane how much money Chelsea have spent in the past couple of years just to be in the middle of the pack or the bottom half of the table. Chelsea currently standing in 10th place, while they have spent close to a billion euros in the past 2 seasons and still can't even come close to challenging European competition ambition. Chelsea have 19 losses in 2023, making them the joint-most Premier League losses in a calendar year, 2023.

Arsenal are most likely to end this year at the first position. Because they are going to play a home game against West Ham next time. I don't think they would lose points in this game. I expected them to lose against Liverpool at Anfield but they still got one point at least. I think this will be a more comfortable one for Arsenal to win.

West Ham newly beat Manchester United though but there is a big difference between Arsenal and the Red Devils these days. Arsenal would probably show the difference clearly in this game.    In the same way I expect Liverpool to beat Burnley as well.

Like I've said before  in the the beginning of the season,  Arsenal are I think are gonna be a stronger contender for the English Premier League title this seasthan they were last season they've been very consistent with their results and performances in the league and if they can maintain their current  performance,  winning the English Premier League I think  is a dream that's achievable for the North London club.
For them to be able to play a scored draw against a big club like Liverpool at Anfield yesterday  tells how determined they are to finish the season better than they managed last season.

They play against  Ham in their next league  game of the season and I expect them to pick all three points from that match and probably remain at the top of the league till the end of the current season. Arsenal might not have the strongest squad in the league in terms of quality of players but they surely  have enough quality of players that can help win the English Premier League title

Chelsea got players who look like they have a very bright future. I think the biggest problem is that Chelsea do not have senior players. There is no guidance for the young lads who just came into the club. The senior players teach young lads the culture of the club. Chelsea needs players with experience to lead the young lads. Chelsea may not finished above 8th position this season.

They got players with bright future and we all know that, what surprises us is the fact that all these good players are under performing and currently sits at no.10, they can do more but it seems with time they are getting worse and worse and we are not certain where the problem lies, is it safe to say the coach is the problem or the players.

When all these issues started they had experienced players in their midst so we should put the blame on the new kids who just arrived at the club few months back. Chelsea is going through a change of phase just like Arsenal did and obviously it will take time to recover but when they do they will be unstoppable, these kids have prospects and I believe in them.

Today's match between Wolverhampton ended equally to Chelsea in the number of points, Wolverhampton hold the 11th place and has not lost in its last 7 home matches in the English Premier League.

They deserved three points with the most wonderful defensive organization. They gave a wonderful and excellent performance that made them jump from 14th to 11th place.

What happened in the first half is a clear indication that Chelsea has problems with scoring and finishing the attack, I believe that Pochettino is responsible for losing this match because he always chose the wrong starting lineup. I think relying on a mobile spearhead like Christopher Nkunku is the best, because Jackson and Borja are not at the level to play as starters for Chelsea. Therefore, they have to look for a good spearhead scorer in the next Mercato otherwise we won't see anything good from them this season.

I'm not too sure if the problem is the wrong line up because previously Chelsea had used the same line up and won the match in a row if we see from week to week Chelsea's main problem is a weak defense they are too easy to concede, besides that the Chelsea striker does not show a stable graphics sometimes scoring then in the next match not this situation continues from week to week. Chelsea need changes in the defense area then improvement in the attack area and Chelsea must do it as soon as possible unless Chelsea do not target any position this season they can wait until next season. It's just that we don't know whether Pochettino is still trusted to handle Chelsea next season or he is still given another opportunity.

Since the last 2 seasons Chelsea have spent $1 billion to bring in players while the income from releasing players is $300 million I doubt Chelsea will not prepare any more budget for the transfer window next season unless Chelsea release more players first then spend it back. One thing we understand that spending a lot of money is not a guarantee for success.

In as much as Chelsea lost in today's game we shouldn't be too surprised with their poor performance, it was meant to be. I enjoyed the way both teams played and for a very long while we saw Chelsea's best player giving the Blues a goal, talking about Nkunku. He started from the bench but that's not the case, he did very well. A player who's coming from injury came in and got a goal is something we should applaud the winger for.
I believe we haven't seen much of him (Nkunku) in the EPL but for the fans I'd say they shouldn't be too excited about his return yet, he needs to be given like 4-5 games before they start saying their best players has arrived depending on how good he performs on the pitch, I feel the man Nkunku can elevate the team to a greater hight before the end of the season but let's just watch and see how Pochettino will make use of him.

Congratulations to them for that... They should not just end there but also make sure that at the end of the season, they're also at the top of the league standing. Garry Neville already said they're most likely to be candidates for the Premier League at the end of the season since Manchester City already facing rough times.

Don't forget it'll be a London Derby and they're not easily won by a side. Lat season they won all the Clubs from London but I haven't kept close tabs on how they've done this season.

I personally don't bet on Chelsea winning that match. But I hope for a draw in this match. But I was quite disappointed because Chelsea were still bad when Nkunku was back with them. But at least after Nkunku returns we can see Chelsea starting to have a deadly attack. But that alone is not enough if the Chelsea squad still does not have confidence in every match. Because I always see Chelsea players playing with complete uncertainty. Which makes them unable to perform optimally.

And it's really sad to see Chelsea have to continue to struggle to stay in the top 10. They should be fighting for a higher ranking. But what I see now is that Chelsea is just trying not to get worse so as not to be thrown down to the bottom of the rankings. Man United might also experience the same thing. But they are not as bad as Chelsea.

This season it is difficult to bet on matches played by Chelsea and Manchester United because these two teams are equally inconsistent and they cannot even beat teams that are below their ranking. So I prefer not to place bets on matches played by Chelsea and Manchester United. In today match Chelsea had to swallow the bitter pill again after being beaten by Wolves. Chelsea bad streak is not over yet, they are finding it increasingly difficult to show change even though they have overhauled the team on a large scale in the summer window but the results are not as expected.

Manchester United is also the same, they are getting easier to beat by their opponents so that both of them this season are more worthy of being called mid-table team. Perhaps the most consistent team in the last two seasons is Arsenal because last season they were runners up and this season they are also in first place. So there is hope for Arsenal fans to see their favorite team win a trophy this season and of course they don't experience setbacks at the end of the competition.

It became a very exciting match when you saw Arsenal and Liverpool playing a draw until the final whistle arrived. Both share one point, the Gunner remains firmly at the top of the standings and Liverpool is in second place, this is only 1 point away. The games will now come thick and fast with Arsenal returning to action twice before 2024.
On December 28 Arsenal will play West Ham in the London derby at the Emirates Stadium.
On December 31 will be against Fulham at Craven Cottage which also ends the 2023 match.
and Arsenal will meet Liverpool again on January 7 2024 in the FA Cup and this will be an even more exciting match.

If Arsenal don't make the same mistakes this season as they did last season, they will be the number one favorites for the title. Their game against West Ham this week will be very difficult. West Ham have been playing good football recently. If Arsenal win this game, they will finish the year on top regardless of the other teams' games. But if they lose points, it won't be the end of the world. At the end of the 38th week I want to see them at the top. Arteta can bring us the title we have been waiting for for years, I believe it.

Many people were predicting chelsea to be a big team caused by the money that spent by the club was very big people are never expecting that if this club will become another flop. It's unbelievable to see that chelsea's level is only a relegation standard.
In so many cases, the team who spent a lot of money was always able building the big club that can performing so amazingly but it's kinda different with what happened to the chelsea. The club has spent more than a half of billion and they got nothing.
This is fucking crazy and it's embarassign transfers caused by chelsea bought so many scam players with non sense price. Todd never understood the how football works and this is the main problem owned by the club.
Another horrible result for chelsea. The club is not only showing the poor performance but it can be shown that how stupid the current coach is. He chooses to use the bad players to play in the first half instead of good players.

This is like reading the stars or some wrinkles on someone's hand. Nobody can tell yet where Arsenal will end up. I would be bold enough to say that they will not be relegated into the Championship. But let's leave the jokes aside, the field at the top of the table is very close in terms of their performances and almost all relevant parameters. That is why trying to tell who will win is quite difficult at the moment.

On a different topic though there are some news. Manchester United has a new shareholder. "Sir Jim Ratcliffe completes deal to buy Manchester United 25% minority stake".

It is said that he wants to invest 300 million at first and more money is supposed to be invested throughout the future. I wonder what these news hold for ten Hag. I don't know whether Ratcliffe has ever said anything about him.

Yeah, we can't really predict who will win the title because so far there are 3 teams that have the chance to get it Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City if Manchester City wins the 18th match then they will only be 3 points behind Arsenal meaning it's still easy to catch up, now what they need to do is maintain consistency in every match well, this one is certainly not easy because the competition in the Premier League is very tight and they also have to maintain concentration in the Champions League/Europe. Of the 3 teams, Manchester City is a little unlucky because because mainstay players like De Bruyne have to be absent for a long time, it is clear that without De Bruyne Manchester City's performance will not be optimal they only won once out of 5 matches if Pep doesn't find an alternative then this will be a long-term problem.

Yes, yes I agree here. Talking about difficulty isn't really that easy as I am sure it was difficult as well back at the time when Leicester City won the title. I think you could put these two seasons, the one when Leicester won, and this one in so far into perspective as I doubt that this season's 2nd position will finish with 71 points. It is probably going to be more towards 80 points and in general there are more teams fiercely involved in the fight for the Premier League title. Nevertheless, Leicester City took it down back then because they never fell when everybody was hoping and waiting for them to fall. They kept going against all expectations.

Aston Villa as a very strong home team could achieve that if they keep their home record clean. I deem that last draw they had as an an accident. This season will be exciting till the end.

I equally agree with you. There's no point in struggling to maintain the first position now if you can't hold it now when it matters at the end of the season cause it would only be a wasted effort and a disappointment to the fans but then again who knows if Arteta has to maintain this pace since it might be difficult to find the top four if they get dropped to say 6th place.
 I won't also tip Arsenal to be amongst the favorites for the title because asides from the season still being in it's infancy, they have been known to fail when tough times come calling. Let's not even focus our attention on West Ham because they too are as unreliable as Arsenal instead of say the club capable of being threatening to the ambitions of either Liverpool or Man City winning the title is Aston Villa for me it like I said earlier, the league is still in it's infant stages so anything can happen to upend the balance.

I think at the end of this year Arsenal could end the year in 1st place, but of course we won't know as to champions this season. At Turf Moor Stadium we will see Burnley against Liverpool and as the host of course Burnley will appear confident but of course for Liverpool he will also appear confident and of course Liverpool has great potential to win. So in my opinion, it will be very difficult for Arsenal to be in 1st place at the end of the year unless Liverpool lose to Burnley in the upcoming match and Arsenal are beaten by West Ham. but indeed by the end of the year Arsenal has great potential to be in 1st place because I am also sure that Arsenal will win the match against West Ham.

Most difficult season for two top Premier League teams Chelsea and Manchester United, still inconsistency performance and loss from unpredictable teams make them have drop from top fourth position standings place. I don't know what weakness from Chelsea spent much money for signing most expensive players last window transfer Moisés Caicedo from Brighton Albion but first season with Chelsea he can't give well contribution without scoring goals and assist from 15 matches in Premier League.

The same with Manchester United get difficult with their striker for scoring goals, Rasmus Højlund under expected by Manchester United fans because he loss touch for playing in Premier League and as striker he can't scoring one goal yet for Manchester United in domestic league. For both teams fans, not expected more for raising top fourth standings position in this season, I doubt Chelsea and Manchester United will finish on top fourth position.
