i am sure Klopp and Liverpool players have been realized this that premier league trophy is near to impossible for them but at least they have to focus and consistent in the remaining matches this season to reach european zone at the end of the league and the competition between the teams who fight for european zone will be very tight because some teams such as Tottenham, Chelsea and Manchester United had same target with Liverpool and this is more interesting to see rather than race title which is only belongs to Manchester City and Arsenal

Seeing the opportunities that exist, I'm quite sure that Klopp has realized and has changed team focus not for the title league but the Champions League and also how to end the season in the top 4, and for the top 4 there is already a new challenger, namely Newcastle, so the competition is very tight and challenging.

Newcastle has been much more consistent than Liverpool and most likely they will continue to be like that as their only focus is the Premier League while Liverpool will still be playing two fronts despite their focus being more on the Champions League in the elimination stages that will resume on February so until then Liverpool will also be focusing completely on the Premier League and try to get as many points as they can.

What a boring weekend this has been so far without Premier League action,at least we had some F1 qualifying but from now on for almost during all December we will only have the World Cup event.Can't wait for the Premier to restart on 26 December.

if it was the Premier League of yesterday I will tell you that 8 points is nothing, even 12 points is also nothing because a serious club can overtake you even if you are leading with 12 points. I remember when Arsenal used to lead with very high number of points but they will lose all of them when the league becomes tough.

The difference of 8 points is not a big deal, as long as Liverpool can improve their performance, moreover, they have one game less than Newcastle. But, if Newcastle can also remain consistent, then the difference of 8 points will be difficult to catch.

The Premier League still has a long way to go, so I think there will be several teams whose performance will experience ups and downs. I agree with @abhiseshakana, WC also might affect lot of players with fitness. It is a tight schedule and can affect lot of teams for sure. The ones with good density in positions within the team will be able to survive though. For example like City, Arsenal, Spurs, Newcastle. What matters is how much quality they have in as backup options.

I don't think Ronaldo is the problem here, Ronaldo coming back to Manchester United was out of the boyhood love he has for the club, Manchester city, Arsenal offered him a chance to join them and these teams are doing much better in the league and other competitions so I expected a little gratitude to be shown to him on arrival not maltreatment all in the name of purnishments. I expected better from United, Ronaldo was only being honest and should not be crucified for airing his view.

Ronaldo is the most talked sports person on the internet now, while everyone is angry about the whole situation, I think he deserves an accolade for his bravery and being able to speak up. I believe he even spoke the minds of some other players and some other members of the staff and hierachy. It looks like the club owners are comfortable with the current condition, poor facilities, not enough infrastructures and poor performance. Ronaldo will always remain my hero.

A player merely needs to be brave and confident to tell the public about such a significant issue in the team. Yes, he must have spoken the opinions of others and been more well-liked by them, but he gave little attention to the repercussions. However, a player like Ronaldo has nothing to lose because he has achieved so much and will continue to be influential in the world of football no matter what he does or says. I believe that Ronaldo made a horrible decision by playing for Manchester United again; he did it out of love and compassion for the team.

But the fact is that Ronaldo is still like a player who lacks achievements, because if Ronaldo is satisfied with all the achievements he has got so far then Ronaldo is more able to accept his situation at Manchester United. Incidents like this happen for a reason and one of them is that Ronaldo no longer gets many minutes to play, so Ronaldo begins to dare to express his heart or his disappointment.
