I don’t understand why will he retire now when he can actually play for 2 or 3 years in a top league, or move to USA and play there. Furthermore whatever happened was bad but in a way I’m happy, because he was getting wasted on the bench and he was getting a huge wage per week which can now be used for buying a new striker which Manchester United badly need.

I don't think Ronaldo will retire yet, he is still very ambitious and really wants to play football. He can play in a big team in Europe and achieve something more for his career and win new trophies.
He can also play in Asia or America and win big money. But I don't think he will leave Europe to make money. He can play 2-3 more seasons and win the last few trophies

At first I wasn't really sure about Potter,because the stats he wasn't enough to excite me. He seems to have never brought a trophy. But after he came Chelsea were indeed a bit of a nuisance, although if I look at them they haven't been able to stabilize. Even if you look at the last 5 games he has never won. Because they still seem like they are on the same road as the one in the previous season. They are still struggling with the same issues. Someone should mark my words, Ronaldo cannot go to Newcastle United that is not the reason why he left Manchester United. The major problem of Ronaldo is that he is still active in football while Messi is close to destroying his Champions League goal record, that is the only problem why Ronaldo is playing all these games. he wants to go back to Champions League and make sure nobody overtakes him while he is still in the active in football .

And so Newcastle cannot give him the opportunity to go and top-up his goals in the Champions League

I think he will have good amount of offers to play for without reducing salary. The thing is what his priorities are right now. Likely is that he will need to take a steep cut in his salary to get some interest from European clubs but I think he can still get good salary offers if he plays for club outside Europe. I think his priorities are to play in any of the top European leagues so likely is that he will have to adjust a little. I think in 1-2 months we will see from which club he will play next.

I think Manchester United's transfer priority in the summer should be a striker. Because they have had serious finishing problems this season so far. If there were people in the management that didn't treat him fairly and constantly asked him to be benched and he felt like he wasn't wanted there, then it does make sense for him to go out and say these things.
