I expect a fierce battle for the title next year. Perhaps we should consider several candidates besides Arsenal and Manchester City. I do not think that it would be that much of a big game for the league one. Look at how close City is to Arsenal right now, and look at how Liverpool is far away from everyone, that should tell you how Liverpool is no longer a danger to City. So far, many seasons of City championship ended with Liverpool being right behind them every season, this year it doesn't look like that would be the case and that is why I am not guessing them to be doing so much better.

At the very least, we are going to end up with something much more realistic and City would probably win, and if they don't, if Liverpool wins, that would help Arsenal more than it does to Liverpool.

No doubts Aubameyang is a good striker but due to his current age he has grown weak and too lazy to compete in top level especially in a tough and competitive league like the English Premier league. Sterling has shown better signs that he could still perform and fight for his position at Chelsea but for Aubameyang it seems different like he is ready to retire and take a rest from football already. I kinda agree with what you said because regardless he is one of the older strikers in the EPL because he is 33 years old now.

It is not possible to compare the performance of a footballer in his prime with how he is doing now. There is no doubt that age is going to be a significant factor for any player. I am confident to say that anyone in the top 4 has a really reasonable chance of catching up with Arsenal for the English Premier League title.

What is important to note here is that Manchester City right now has a winning rate of 70% of their games. While on average that is a strong value, it is still below what we are used to from Manchester City during their strong seasons. When Arsenal can keep up a decent winning rate, it will come down to whether or not Manchester City fails from time to time. If that happens we might see a close race for the championship, which would definitely be a desirable outcome for the fans. If Manchester City steps up their game and have one of these legendary winning streaks, I am not sure whether Arsenal will be able to keep up with that.
