I understand that the club is not in a rush to give him a new big contract just yet considering he's 31 years old, but at east keep him for a year or 2 and then pick your options.
He would not generate a lot of money due to his age but would be a major loss both on the pitch and in the dressing room.
Could they be running away from paying large wage bills for these senior players? That is only reason that makes sense. I guess he probably has high wages and LFC is weighting if he is worth that much. This year is particularly tricky due to covid measures and limited income from supporters. All clubs have to make sure they are able to close financial structure and that is why we see some great not so young players changing teams. That being said, I also agree Liverpool should keep him, especially after losing Winnie. Henderson has 5 million pounds salary, I am sorry but if the team that won the league last year and won champions league very recently can't pay 5 million pounds on their valuable players then I think it is time for them to break up the team and rebuild and send Klopp to a better team. I am 100% serious, they need to be capable of paying players 5 million at least. Sure Henderson is not a Messi level player but if Barcelona is trying to get Messi for 50 million a year at his age, I am sure henderson at 31 could get 5 million pounds, hell he could get that even in a very very low level league, teams would be willing to pay him that much in championship level let alone premier league. He is as cheap as it comes and have been around for nearly 10 years or more. He is not a bad player neither, not like he got old and became bad, he is only 31 not 41.

The new season is getting really close. We are only 3 weeks away from the first week of the league. I think that the biggest candidate for the title is Manchester City again. I don't know if they will manage to end Kane transfer successfully. But even without him, they can destroy their opponents and reach the title. But it's going to be really long and tough journey as their biggest opponents are also gaining more power.

Coming into a new season, many of the big teams would have probably signed new players into their team making them stronger than they were the previous season and difficult to predict a winner; I know City have been brilliant in the last couple of seasons and have won a good number of titles along the way, this somewhat makes them favorites for this season title, but the other big teams wouldn't just be pushed aside, Liverpool, United and Chelsea are all Contenders for the title, we will see which team sets the pace and in the most form from the beginning of the season to mid-season, it's more often than not the team that goes home with the title.

Tottenham is close in signing the Sevilla player, Bryan Gill. And According to Report, Tottenham is ready to offer £21.6m and their player Erik Lamela, in exchange for the player. Lamela joined Tottenham from Roma in 2013, Tottenham however signed him with €17m. Lamela has spent 8 years in the premier league. And his is ready to sign a three years contract with Sevilla. While Bryan Gii was transfered on loan to Eibar last season, where he scored 4 goals. If the deal works out, then it will be Gii's first time playing in the Premier League.

This coming season is really going to be tough considering the incomings of big names in the premier league. Clubs are begining to sign players to their team to add more depth and stability to their game because next season is really going to be tougher.I can't wait to enjoy every game as it comes nextweek.

The transfers that big teams will make until the end of the transfer window will be one of the determinant factors for the title. Of course, Manchester City seem closer now as they have a really good squad and their game plan is just great. But it's early to make predictions for the title. Let's see half of the season e.g. and make a better decision then.

The new session is probably with a new strategy, as I know summer windows transfer close August 31, that is enough time for an arrangement of formation and still not too late. Pep may be still on holiday while shooting for a good player in another place. there are still have winter windows transfers if they are late to process.

I don't know if transfers will play such a big role. I think Manchester City is definitely the favorite and would it change that much if another club makes one big transfer? Maybe slightly, but keep in mind that Manchester City could also be making one big transfer, and they probably will. I believe at the end of the transfer window chances might even shift further in their favor.

Man City is Keen on signing Harry Kane as their major transfer target Tottenham had rejected a €100 million offer instead they are demanding for £150 million and from the looks of things Kane had already made up his mind to leave Tottenham transfer news in days ahead will be very interesting it going to be tug of war between players and clubs. Winning the title next season is a fight to the finish between Man City, Man Utd and Chelsea, City will face a strict challenge or resistance from those two major clubs I don't see them as favorite recall Chelsea defeated them thrice last season in all competition other clubs will brace up to give them a tougher challenge.

This is pure Levey thing he always make it difficult for an opposition team to get good player from his team, he is always willing to be at the black side of the book by trying so hard to make players stay against their own will, he had similar situation with Modric and Erickson he stalled them till they were almost out of contract before releasing them, he does not care losing them on free transfer as long as they honour their contract agreement he is fine with it. £100m for Kane is just too low for the player he is considering the crazy market we are all in, if Sancho is worth £90m then Kane is worth double of that money, Kane is a world-class player, I know the competition is not much since other teams are not interested except Mancity, £150m for Kane is a fair price.

It's official, due to too many positive covid cases in Arsenal, the Gunners are gonna skip the match with Inter in Florida, USA. The Gunners would have had to play two games in the Florida Cup, first with the Nerazzurri and then against one of the other two participants, Everton and the Colombian Millonarios. It looks like the vaccine they had isn't avoiding contagion.

Do you have any information that those players were vaccinated or not? I guess football players and staffs of clubs were vaccinated. If they were vaccinated all but got infections, it can be good evidence for the public that vaccines are not the Silver bullet to end the pandemic. I am aware of the probability to get infected even you have enough doses of vaccines. COVID-19 vaccines offer hope, but are not a ‘silver bullet’ Dr Takeshi Kasai, WHO Regional Director for the Western Pacific

Exciting enough for me to see what clubs will win a Champions League in coming years, between Manchester City and PSG. They have good improvements in Champions League and will be able to win it with good squads they have. Three seasons ago, they were like apprentices in Champions League but now, they can join semi or final match. If they can manage to more regularly join semi and final matches, soon they will win the Champions League. Only a matter of time. Their owners are readily to improve the club competitiveness by buying more good players.

The latest news, Tottenham says that Harry Kane will not leave they assured that Kane would stay at Tottenham, on the other hand, Man City still has options, one of which is signing Lewandowski of course Kane is the main target because he is younger and has a future. For me these two players have the same potential.
Kane's decision will play a really big role on this. Some time ago, Kane stated clearly that he wanted to leave. I wonder if he is still very decisive about it. If it's the situation, Tottenham can't keep him at the team this summer. It could even affect Kane's performance badly in the new season if Tottenham don't let him go. If City don't sign him, there are some top strikers like Haaland and Lewandowski also. I guess they will reach an agreement with one of these 3 players in this summer. There is information that Kane has already decided to leave Tottenham and has already agreed a personal contract with Manchester City. Also before that, there was information that Kane told his colleagues in the national team that he would boycott Tottenham's training sessions if the club did not release the player. Moreover, an offer from Manchester City has already been officially announced and Josep Guardiola himself has already expressed in an interview that Kane is the main goal of the club in this transfer window. Therefore, I think that the owner of Tottenham will still be more accommodating and will no longer interfere with agreeing a deal to the mutual satisfaction of the parties. I haven't heard any news about Manchester City offering a deal to Kane. This is really great for Kane then. Manchester City are one of the teams that he wants to go to really much. And City have the necessary financial power to get him. After City finish this transfer, I wonder if Guardiola will make some changes in his game plan. Because I think he must do it. In the last season, midfielders scored even more than strikers or scored the same. But now they will have Kane. Kane is a player who loves to score many goals. They can't use him differently and they shouldn't. I expect Kane to be the "target man" in the new game plan.

I understand that part. I'd be doing the same, Henderson still has 2 years on his current contract and the club isn't in a hurry to give him another 2 years of high wages that will keep him until he's 35. It is a smart move to wait a bit and sit down with him in a year or 2, even if that means he can leave for free aged 33. What makes 0 sense is to sell him now to get 30-40 million - you would not be able to get more because he's 31 years old. For that money you cannot replace him - and real football isn't Fifa where you just ignore chemistry.

I really don't like these rumors of Henderson leaving Liverpool. We already lost Wijnaldum (a starting midfielder), losing another one (and a captain as well) in the same transfer window would really be irresponsible.
I understand that the club is not in a rush to give him a new big contract just yet considering he's 31 years old, but at east keep him for a year or 2 and then pick your options.
He would not generate a lot of money due to his age but would be a major loss both on the pitch and in the dressing room.
I commented in another thread about this yesterday and today and I simply think the rumors are not just unfounded but totally ridiculous,,, and I am not even Liverpool fan First of all, he is happy at the club and has 2 years left on contract. Second of all,,, the club are not like that when it comes to transfer market. They are not irresponsible and they seem to like keeping players happy and parting on good terms. I am a Spurs person so imagine how envious I am of your system.

I don't understand that at all, he isn't that good anyway and he's also playing in Son's position. I also struggle to understand why are you trying so hard to get rid of Sanchez. Ok, he's not the perfect CB you maybe thought you got when he started well, but you're basically trying to chip him in for whatever somebody's ready to give. I really loved what you did under Poch (not maybe transfers, but your results with a low net spend) but you're losing me for some time already. Shame, you looked ready to break the top 4.

Son is not young anymore and he is not as hot as 2 seasons ago. Big clubs now have to think carefully if they want to spend big transfer cost for Son Heung Min. The last season can be the best one in career of Son Heung Min. I understand that part. I'd be doing the same, Henderson still has 2 years on his current contract and the club isn't in a hurry to give him another 2 years of high wages that will keep him until he's 35. Henderson is a good captain for The Kop. He is not a great player like Gerrad but he helped The Kop to win the first Premier League after many years. He can not do it without Klopp and teammates but Henderson is a very important player in the trophy 2 seasons ago for Liverpool. Because Henderson is a bought player, not home-grown so The Kop won't must to keep him in the club. Stay or leave will depend on both sides and Henderson's willingness to spend end of his career in Anfield or want to find other clubs that can pay him higher.

Covid disrupting everything again with the Delta variant. I hope UK and other countries could handle this faster so we would not go back to the days when stadiums are empty. These clubs need to recover their losses from last year so they won't have to face the difficult task of selling key players and stay afloat.
