I think  Inter not interested with new player from Chelsea and keep ask more than £120m, Chelsea faced big problem after got stuck with Haaland transfer and try to get Lukaku from Inter Milan, now they still negotiation will agree with Inter Milan ask value or not, I think Lukaku become great player for Chelsea and give more goal.
Lukaku is still eager to return to Chelsea, but it seem Inter are not willing to let him go. Hallaand has not been sold this season and now Chelsea really want to reunite with his old players with a €100 million offer plus Marcos Alonso which Inter rejected. Lukaku could still be sold if another offer of more than €100m came in, but it's clear the Inter supporter don't agree with this potential. Yes, Lukaku is the player Chelsea need at the moment because they really wanted to defend the title last season.

According to Transfermarkt Manchester City is the 2nd team in Premier League that spent alot in transfers after Manchester United

Probably this is not going to happen because Manchester City has signed Grealish for 100 million. I dont think they could afford to sign Kane for another 100+ million though probably on the next transfer window.
Yes, but Manchester City finished second not because of huge transfers, but because of consistently large transfers, usually not exceeding 50 million per player. In general, you are right, but judging by the news, there is still a possibility of Kane's transfer, since M'City has a transfer balance of +40 million, so if Manchester City sells two players, it will be able to afford such an expensive transfer. [I hope the transfer will take place and Manchester, led by Kane, will take 5th place in the table]  Grin

This is the comparison for the last 5 season between these two top spenders clubs, newest to the oldest order starting from 2021/2022

And most probably, Manchester City will keep maintaining their place also. They are making an effort to sign Jack Grealish and Harry Kane. And to be able to sign them both, Manchester City will have to pay more than 200 million pounds in total. Jack Grealish deal seems to be ending soon but it is still not clear about whether they will be able to sign Kane also.

^  I think City is close to spending 1 billion GBP in transfers since Pep arrived.  Lol.  So what’s a couple hundred million GBP more and make it a tad over a billion...  Cheesy

Seriously tho..  It’s getting ridiculous.  I think I’ll be supporting Brentford this season.  I’ll buy the kit and watch all their matches.  Grin

It is said that Paul Pogba is going to start the season with Manchester Utd and then decide what do before the transfer windows ends. PSG seem to be still interested in signing him this summer. But I wonder what Pogba thinks about this now. He is actually doing quite good here. He had a really good season too.

I honestly didn't see this coming to be honest. I knew that there was a bit of a gossip about players moving around but Premier league feels like spent more than all the other big leagues total, hell maybe they spent more as one league versus all the other leagues combined? I really do not know but it was insane to see this. There are still a lot of big names left on the board as well with Lukaku, maybe haaland? maybe kane? I do not know what's going to happen but it is already a huge deal so it is really shocking to see that.

I really want see a whole lot of changes too, like there could be maybe at least 250+ million pounds worth of transfers on top of the current ones, that is just insane. That is over half a billion dollars in just one off-season. What we can do right now is just wait, but I still think Haaland is a better transfer than Lukaku, that is the only thing left for me, who will Chelsea get?

But we should all have seen it coming:) If you remember even last season already during Covid times when the economic tightness was first felt,,, already EPL was the only league spending a lot of money, remember the big Chelsea buys? While other clubs in other leagues were already even considering cutting down staff and players and reducing salaries,,, even asking players to voluntary take paycuts.

England is just too much when it comes to money and financial compensation, blame the TV rights:)

According to the news circulating, it is not only PSG who want Paul Pogba but Paul Pogba former club, namely Juventus, has also sent a proposal to buy Paul Pogba from Manchester United and according to Calciomercato, Juventus have offered Pogba for 50 million euro, it seems selling Pogba is the right move for Manchester United because Pogba contract will expire on June 30, 2022 and until now Pogba has not signed a contract extension and this is the reason some rich clubs want to buy Pogba.

Manchester City has never been famous for expensive transfers
Manchester city invested heavily several years back to build the current team they have which has won them several trophies on the road, but now that it's superstar players are becoming of age or slowing down if I can say, they will need to do it once more to prepare for the next generation and I see them going for young players full of talent that will not break the bank to acquire. I hope they continue with their not expensive transfers.

so any adequate Spurs fan should be happy if Kane moves to Manchester City

Probably this is not going to happen because Manchester City has signed Grealish for 100 million. I dont think they could afford to sign Kane for another 100+ million though probably on the next transfer window.
What Grealish agreed to leave Aston villa for Manchester City  Cry Indeed its true that everyone has a price, By the way Villa park won't be the same without him for the few seasons.
With this move I feel Aston villa could also have set themselves for relegation because no one will manage to inspire the team like he did!

I don't think so. Grealish was good and the most hard working in Villa camp but this transfer window Villa is the most active premier club. They have signed Buendia who is a a great midfield player , just recently they signed Leon Bailey as well who is a great winger with pace as we saw in last Bundesliga season.  They also signed Danny Ings who is the a very experienced striker and have been scoring goals in double digits. So I think they are rebuilding the team in a very good way. Obviously losing Grealish would give a dent but I don't think it is that much of a deal. They will still be more deadly underdogs as compared to last season.

Jack Grealish is one of the best English players on the scene, this is undisputed, but selling him for 100 million pounds is a huge blow and indeed it is greatly exaggerated and in my opinion not worth all that money.
Aston Villa managed to sign three players, Emiliano Buendia, Danny Ings and Leon Bailly, three deals of a very respectable caliber for an amount not exceeding 90 million pounds, so it is indeed an exceptional work from the Villa management.
It will be a legitimate dream season for Villa Park fans. They look in much better then Arsenal despite loosing their captain.

The biggest situation is that while Chelsea talked with Dortmund about Haaland all the talks were around 100-150 million, and every club knows about this as well, it is not a hidden fact, if I know this then they probably know who talked with who as well, they are inside the business and definitely talked with some people.

However this means Chelsea will get high price tag for every player they ask, they are in big need of a striker and since Haaland failed that means Inter will be asking way more than what Lukaku worths, I honestly think he is an 80 million euro worth player on average, maybe a bit more or less depending on situation but for not 80 is what I would offer and nothing more, maybe throw in a decent 10-20 million euro worth player you are not considering but that's about it. The only reason for higher price tag is simply because Inter knows Chelsea can afford it.

I'm not really that concerned about Man City getting Grealish. I don't think he justifies that 100 million price tag. I mean, Sancho who I would say is arguably better than Grealish by quite some margin went for less. The issue is if they get Harry Kane, I know that Kane is trying to force a move at the moment, and I think everyone, but Man City fans are hoping it doesn't happen. It would be the biggest example of buying the league that I've seen, and it begs the question what's happened to financial fair play? I know that Manchester City has previously battled the financial fair play, and actually won in court, but surely they couldn't get away with it if they were to acquire Kane for 150-200 million?

Chelsea made an offer which was £85m + Marcos Alonso for Inter striker Romelu Lukaku. But it was rejected by Inter. Now Inter hope Chelsea to return with a brand new offer worth £110m. According to I've heard, Lukaku is also leaning towards going back to Chelsea now. So, I wouldn't be surprised if Chelsea end this deal soon. Their priority was to bring Haaland but they may not become successful about it.
Haaland was Chelsea's top target, their really wanted the player at all cost. But unfortunately, Dormund don't want to sell him out. They now have an eye on Lakaku, although,  Lakaku was transferred from Chelsea to Everton in 2014, and Left England for Italy in 2019. He however wants to return back in England.  According to report, Lukaku told Inter to accept Chelsea offer. I think he will make Chelsea squad stronger, if transferred to Chelsea.

I hope Manchester City don't force their will to buy Kane this season after they managed to buy Grealish for €100m. Actually I don't know why this midfielder is priced so high and why Manchester City are so eager to get him when many other midfielders are much cheaper than Grealish. Everyone knows that Manchester City have the financial capacity to buy expensive players, but if they spend a lot of money to buy players in one season then they have to face financial fair play.

He's definitely good, and has manged to shine in a Aston Villa side which I would describe as overwhelmingly average, however they did over perform last season, which is probably because of the impact that Grealish had, but I don't think hes a huge improvement over Manchester City's existing players.

If Manchester City get Kane or actually any prolific striker, we'll be one step closer to having a one team league, similar to that of the French league. I don't want that, and that's exactly the reason financial fair play was introduced, to prevent this from happening.

Remember, that Manchester City did very well, and sort of run away with the league on multiple occasions with Aguero being out for half the season multiple times. If they have a player that is as good, and doesn't have as many injury problems, that's a massive problem for the balance of the league.

I don't know how much money Manchester City still have after signing Jack Grealish for a great deal of money. €120m is absolutely too much. And I believe that it is a quite high price for a player like Jack Grealish. I don't mean that he is a bad player but he is not perfect either.

Now, this could mean also that Harry Kane transfer wouldn't happen in this transfer window. But let's see what they will say or do about this.

Grealish shone with Aston Villa last season and I've seen him a few times and more and more since I found out Manchester City started to take an interest in him. To be a great player maybe Grealish will have to compete and adapt quickly at Manchester City and I hope he can do that in his first season. I don't think Kane will be a Manchester City player for the 2021/2022 season although it looks like Kane is starting to force himself to leave Tottenham. City should consider FFP if they don't want to be punished, but City really need to get a prolific goalscorer in place of Aguero who moved to Barcelona.

But I think Manchester City are really making the player he's after more expensive. Either because they have a lot of money or the other team just wants a lot of money from Manchester City or indeed the player they are after deserves that kind of price.

It is said that Paul Pogba is going to start the season with Manchester Utd and then decide what do before the transfer windows ends. PSG seem to be still interested in signing him this summer. But I wonder what Pogba thinks about this now. He is actually doing quite good here. He had a really good season too.
Everything is quite simple here. If Pogba does not want to sign a new contract, then Pogba will definitely leave in this transfer window, because it is in the interests of both the club and, accordingly, the player himself, because it is absolutely clear that this non-signing is the main hint to the club about the desire to leave. Buying Pogba would be a good step for Juventus to strengthen, given the not quite unambiguous results of this season. Another question is whether Juventus will be able to satisfy the financial appetites of the French player and his famous agent. On the other hand, a return to France to Paris Saint-Germain, which, thanks to its Arab owners, should certainly satisfy the financial appetites of the player.

According to some rumours, Manchester Utd are still putting in an effort to sign Atletico Madrid right-back Kieran Trippier in this transfer window. But Atletico Madrid clearly stated that they were not thinking of decreasing their £34m asking price. The 30-year-old player had a decent season last. He got 6 assists in 28 La Liga games in the last season. He was transferred by Atletico from Tottenham for €22m. Now he has a market value of €20m. So I think this shows that Atletico are not very willing to sell him to any club now. That's why they are demanding this much money from Manchester Utd. I don't think that he's worth more than €20m now.

He's good but he's not done anything to justify that tag, but it's getting out of hand with these transfer fees when even average players are fetching silly money. I suppose it depends on their finances and who they've sold, but they surely can't afford both Grealish and Kane. Is the Grealish signing a done deal? If it is I'm betting they're regretting that now Messi is a free agent and City would have been on of the likely teams he was interested in.

I hope Manchester City don't force their will to buy Kane this season after they managed to buy Grealish for €100m. It's was a little too late though. Teams like Man City have already bought themselves titles by throwing ludicrous sums of money at players before the fair play rules were introduced and enriched themselves so much they might never be dethroned.
