I was expecting some counter from the arsenal side, well maybe its just beginner bad luck. I don't really know if I can say Arteta will be under pressure this season to perform better or that his job will be on the line if Arsenal fail to have a good season at least, because I believe the Arsenal board are already aware their present squad is incapable of doing anything special nor compete for trophies this season, tbh, I think Arsenal need a complete overhaul of their squad, or even preferably sell the club to rich owners, so they can start to spend enough money to bring in quality players.

Manchester United hosts Leeds utd while Manchester city play Tottenham.

I expect the two Manchester clubs to hit the ground running with victories in their respective games, it wouldn't be an easy one for City, but I do not see them losing to Spurs in this game, imo, all the big teams will all register victories in this opening round of matches.

Any coach is under pressure and results are expected from any coach, and the Arsenal head coach is by no means an exception. Another question is, if you are not inside the club, you cannot know what result is expected from the club from the inside and what criteria are used for this. Fans can worry about the team's results as much as they want and expect better results, but the owner always has the last word. Obviously, the owner was quite satisfied with everything last season, because he publicly refused to sell the club. However, if Arteta continues to lose at the same pace to the newcomers of the league and outsiders, then I think that even Stan Kroenke with his specific style of possession will be forced to dismiss Arteta, because I don't think that Kroenke plans to drop Arsenal into the Championship, as the well-known Gary Lineker predicts.

It's too early to make a decision this is the start of the season meaning it doesn't determine the outcome of all matches we still have a lot of games

let's not start judging them straight ahead, it's the first match of the season, we've seen clubs struggle at first and then comeback real strong, but it still an embarrassing loss with all respect for Brentford team, they did good to be affective and deserved the win, first premiere league match, and first surprise win, not the first time i've seen new comers causing troubles for big teams though.

Yes now that it is confirmed, the only thing we can be watching out for are the big Champions League games. I doubt a lot of people will watch whole Ligue 1 games because Messi is there. At least I don't and I also didn't because of Mbappe or Neymar. I will follow the top scorer list and maybe some summaries of the games just to see in the highlights how Messi is doing. What's actually interesting are the Champions League games. PSG vs. Barcelona, or PSG vs. Manchester City! That's what I am hoping for. Oh, and of course PSG vs. Juventus, Messi vs. Ronaldo!

Juventus will be beaten by PSG if they have to face with each other. I don't underestimate the defenders of Juventus but PSG are very strong and their players are younger.

PSG vs Manchester City is a more balanced pair and I can not choose what team will win. It depends on their form around that match and player resources they have for it. Their players have same quality level.

PSG and Manchester City will be two biggest candidates in Champions League 2021 - 2022 from what they got from the transfers in this summer. PSG looks to have a wiser transfer strategy than Manchester City. Wilnandum, Ramos, Messi, they got all of them as free transfers. I feel PSG are repeating what Juventus did years ago with Pirlo, Pogba, etc.

You are phrasing it as if it was easy to predict who would win the game when PSG meets Juventus. I don't think it is that easy. Would you have expected Chelsea to beat Manchester City three times in a row? Probably not. They won the FA cup game, the Premier league game and then the champions league final. I am sure nobody would have placed a bet on Chelsea winning three important games in a row against Manchester City. The same applies to games between strong teams like PSG and Juventus. Everything is possible although I agree that PSG has a slightly better team on the pitch. Still though look at Juventus offense with Ronaldo and Chiesa, also the midfield. That's a strong team as well plus a very good defense.

At the start of the season it was difficult for Arsenal maybe in 3 games in a row not going to get points because look at their tough opponents Chelsea and Mancity, yeah we know Brentford is a low opponent but he is able to show the opponent that he is capable while Arsenal can't do anything , it seems that it is still not good if Arsenal are under Arteta so it is possible as soon as possible to be replaced with another coach.

I think in the next 5 games Arsenal will not be satisfying seeing how the game is like this, but I want to know their main players can play again, see the actual results.

As I said before, the quality of Brentford players is below Arsenal but this is EPL something can happen Brentford motivated by Leicester City this has an effect on the performance of players being excited we've seen this happen to teams like Leicester city and Leeds The difference is that Leicester finish until the end of the season and Leeds only at the beginning of the season and now we will wait for Brentford.

The current situation of Arsenal is not really good because they have some injured players, manager has no other choices to play with less experienced players especially for the striker position. I also see that there is no good moves from the Arsenal management in the window transfer, they did not try to improve the squad with more talented players. I guess they have less budget than other team so they cant sign great players. All in all, Arsenal fans should not blame the coach/manager only as it is really a hard work for Arteta to compete in EPL with the existing squad which is not really competitive compared to other EPL big teams.

Nothing unexpected happened, Arsenal did not strengthen their roster in the offseason, so we have what we have. I expected in this match that both teams would score, but later I saw that the attacking line was in a bad state, players like Aubameyang would not be able to play and then I realized that things were really bad. But I still had the hope that Arsenal would be able to score a goal. This did not happen.

Just like you, I don't feel that Arsenal is one of the big teams anymore for a long time. Wenger is a coach who is considered a father by most Arsenal players due to the length of time he has coached the club. However, their achievement are not comparable to the number of achievement achieved by other team. They're not bad but don't win titles often. I remember some veteran players who retired and also moved club, they were good and great players. But unfortunately Arsenal is not the type of team that really want to win the title at the end of every season.
