Leicester's victory in the FA Super Cup proves once again that the stars do not decide anything. The most important thing is the team. 11 people play football. I am happy for Leicester. I am glad that there are such teams that prove that nothing is lost in football and not everything. money decides.

Seriously though its Leicester City and they were the winner of Premier League even when the odds are against them. Apart from that, dont expect both of the teams to take the match seriously though. It was nothing more than a pre season warm-up match for both of these teams because none of them want their player to be injured before the league officially starts

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Despite the fact that community shields are nothing to get too excited about these days, I was impressed with Leicester City throughout the duration of the match. Man City did have very good chances which they threw away just because mahrez and Gündoğan kept shooting wide. Also, Schmeichel proved one more time why he should be considered as one of the top flight goalkeepers in English football top flight. It was just a sneak peek of what's coming in the PL this season and I'm excited already!

Being Pep Guardiola, losing Messi by paying 117 million for Grealish and two days later you lose the Community Shield. Not the best way to start the season for Bep and Manchester City if you ask me.However it is a good thing that some other team was able to beat Manchester City which gives us hope that this year Premier League will be much better than the last one.
It just happened quite unexpectedly quickly and Manchester City simply wasn't ready for such a development of the situation, having already started other contract epics with Grealish and Kane. Although, of course, some time ago, both Guardiola and the management had in mind the possibility of signing a contract with Messi, but then they switched to more realistic goals in their opinion. I don't think Guardiola is very sad about the loss, because the battle is just beginning, although of course any title lifts the mood of the coach and the mood of the team. Guardiola is famous for the ability to decompose the team's game by distance, so this case is not indicative.

Can't wait to see Lukaku playing again in EPL!
Lukaku could leave for London in the next few hours to carry out medical examinations with the Blues and sign the contract. As soon as the transfer's made official, the Belgian striker will be available to Thomas Tuchel, coach of the European champions: Lukaku, who has trained regularly with Inter in recent days, could make his debut next Wednesday (August 11), on the occasion of the European Super Cup that Chelsea will play against Villarreal in Belfast.

I can't wait to see Lukaku play against Villarreal in the Super Cup. He is indeed a talented player, and he will definitely make the squad stronger. Chelsea finally signed him for £97.5m. He is finally back after seven years he left the blues.

We'll see tough competition in the EPL because each club has prepared the best squad ahead of the start of the competition, in the coming days we can see and compare which teams are most ready for the title and still waiting for surprises in the transfer window.

Yep, it is going to be a hell of a season and fun to watch. I wish Messi would have signed for an English club because there are so many strong teams and he would have drawn all eyes on the Premier League. It is not the same if he goes to Ligue 1. In the PL every game would be a highlight with him on the pitch. Grealish is a good player sure, but Messi together with De Bruyne, that would have been outstanding! Wink

the premier league was almost always the most competitive league in the top leagues, it is really hard to predict who's going to win the next title, too bad we didn't see a lot of big names joining the premier league but still the most exciting one, can't wait.
Lukaku is a player that doesn't need adaptation to be successful in premier league because he has the experience already. He is physically fit and combative to play against premier league brutal defenders. He has pace and speed,so Chelsea acquiring his services will actually make Chelsea a complete team in Europe.

This is not the first time Lukaku is playing in the Premier League. He was in Manchester United before he was transferred to inter in 2019. However, he don't need adaptation, because he previously played for Chelsea. He is a good and talented player which Chelsea will definitely benefit from. The EPL this season will be very competitive,  but with Lukaku, Chelsea will probably win a title this season.

Did you see the line-up? City practically had a B-team out. No Foden, no Sterling, No Jesus, No DeBruyne. No Stones, Walker or Ederson either. This was basically a glorified friendly. Pep never seems to take these trophies seriously. All he cares about is the PL and CL.

They only just managed a Champions League place last season.. but this season with Lukaku, I think they should be able to open a clear gap on the teams below them and make qualifying for the Champions League a formality once again. The teams below them aren't really strengthening, and if Spurs lose Kane then that's another challenger gone. It's difficult to see beyond the two Manchester teams, Liverpool and Chelsea for the top four. I can't see where other challengers would come from.

A whole lot has under rated that League, I think this is where best for him to play.
Calling then Farmers League, winning the Champions League won't be that easy, we'll be patient enough to see how things go through.

Agreed with this, yes. Top 4 looks already defined, there really isn't a team that can break it this season. Arsenal is in total disarray, Leicester came really close 2 seasons in a row and royally screwed it up so I don't think they have it in them to make another decent challenge - especially with Vardy getting older and slower.

Tottenham would probably be able to break it if they keep Kane and sign Lautaro. However, Kane looks really unhappy and will probably get his transfer and Lautaro was supposed to be joining but that deal went a bit cold as well.

This is all really good news for Liverpool who looks ready to drop out. Luckily, there isn't really a team that will be able to fill the gap this season.

I can't wait for the new season to start! There are only four days left to the opening game of the first week which is between Brentford and Arsenal.

As we can remember easily, Brentford were one of the best teams in the Championship in the last season. They were destroying their opponents quite easily until a point. Then, they started to be out-of-form and this caused them to be obliged to play play-off games as they managed to finish the league as the 3rd. In the regular season, they had the least loss count but they drew with the other teams too many times. And they were the most scorer team of the season also. They managed to defeat Swansea 2-0 in the play-off finals and promoted to the Premier League.

When it comes to Arsenal, they had another bad season of theirs. They had 18 wins and 13 losses in the last season. This is really terrible for a team like Arsenal. And they still insist on maintaining their main policy which is bringing very young players to the team. I know that they want to make an investment for the future but they can't be a big team like this. They still have a low-quality squad now and I wouldn't be surprised if they finish the league at a bad place again.

For this match, I feel like it may end in a draw. Because Brentford are not a team to be underestimated and they would like to start the EPL well also. I don't think that Arsenal can win this.

Yup.  And Chelsea and Man United have started to be looking strong the last couple of years.  So it’s going to be another City, Liverpool, Chelsea, United season again...  Not in that order but yeah.

I’ll say it again, like what I said about Chelsea having the squad to win the CL last season, I think they have the squad to win the EPL this season.

What's the situation with Lautaro? I've wanted him at Liverpool for a number of years now to eventually take over Firminho. Plus, Liverpool desperately need a striker if Firminho doesn't crack on like was in previous seasons. Although, he does seem to thrive off the fans, so I'm expecting more from him this season. I still think they need a striker, and we could potentially drop Bobby back into midfield, and utilize his pressing. I'll be gutted if Spurs actually get him.

Also, I would factor in the new rule change this season with substitutions. It seems that they are allowing 9 players on the bench, instead of the usual 7 this season. Whether or not that's because of Covid or is a permanent change remains to be seen, but you've got to fancy the bigger squads to benefit from this. Especially, Manchester City or has a plethora of players that can play first team football for most teams in the league. Do note; only 3 subs can be made, but you get to have 9 players on the bench.

Back to Chelsea, is this a sign of regret for Chelsea who did not maximize Lukaku and let him go? He was sold for only 28 million euros, and had to buy back for 100 million. After leaving Chelsea, Lukaku began to grow because he had the trust of the Everton and MU coaches. Until then Inter saw Lukaku's ability and managed to bring Inter Capolista. Chelsea began to be interested in pursuing the EPL and maintaining the UCL, and bring the lost kid back home, of course this is not a surprise on football, but the worst thing is, the players can't playing as club expectation.

Lukaku made his medical today for Chelsea so he is one step closer to sign, after that Chelsea would be one of a hell candidate to push for EPL title this upcoming season  they lacked a proper finisher last year after Werner failed to make the impact that was expected from him.
When you see that your highest top scorer in the EPL is a central midfielder (Jorginho) with 7 goals that means you have a problem.
But now after the arrival of Lukaku things should turn on for the best especially when Lukaku spent almost all of his career in EPL so he has no time to waste getting used to the league .

^  Yeah looks like Chelsea won’t give Werner the benefit of the doubt.  Other clubs would with the kind of money spent to get him.  Lol.  Cheesy

And getting Lukaku shows they’re really serious in going for it in the EPL.  Stake has Chelsea to win the league at 5.80.  That match vs Liverpool on Aug 29 could cut the line to half or get it higher imo.

With the signing of Lukaku Chelsea's squad is now complete and ready for EPL title challenge this season and equally defend their UCL title,  EPL will witness a very competitive and exciting competition, Lukaku has a lot to offer as complete striker, who is very competent in front of goal unlike Werner who wasted a lot scoring chances last season fortunately he is not a stranger or newcomer in EPL having previously had a stint with Chelsea, Everton and Man Utd, I hope he also contend for the highest goal scorer at the end of the season.

If Chelsea want to do well next season, they need an experienced striker. Don't rely on Werner. He is not experienced. As we saw in the previous season, he missed many easy opportunities. If the EPL title is the goal now there is no option but to take on an experienced striker team. Although Werner did not play well last season, Sadio Mane's outstanding performance helped Chelsea win the Champions League. This year too they will make huge mistakes if they rely only on Mane.

In the new season of Premier League, I think Chelsea and Manchester City will fight for the trophy, Liverpool, Manchester United will have to fight for 3rd and 4th positions against Tottenham, Leicester and some surprising clubs.

It would be difficult for Manchester United and Liverpool to win the trophy.

If Chelsea want to do well next season, they need an experienced striker. Don't rely on Werner. He is not experienced. As we saw in the previous season, he missed many easy opportunities. Lukaku is a player of Chelsea, isn't it? The striker problem in Stamford Bridge is solved, at least in theory. With performance of Lukaku in Everton and Inter Milan, I think he will perform well in Stamford Bridge.

With Lukaku, Werner will be released from the striker position and it will help Timor has more contributions to the tactic of Chelsea. He is more dangerous when he does not play as a striker. He has almost everything to destroy opponent defense systems, just lack of good finishing skills and confidence to shot

I agree with what you said that chelsea do need an experienced striker for next season, and maybe that's why chelsea are currently very active in the transfer market to buy halaand, but sadly dortmund don't seem to want to let him go this season and now chelsea are eyeing their former player as an alternative due to failing to get the halaand namely Romelu Lukaku and it's been reported that lukaku will soon have a medical at chelsea .
bro, I want to ask if you are a football fan? because as far as I know Sadio Mane plays for Liverpool and never helped Chelsea last season to win the champions league Grin
