I agree with you, all speculation about Cristiano should be stopped. apart from that Cristiano must also be aware that he is not young anymore, he should know that there are not many big clubs interested in his services. maybe this season MU is not competing in the UCL but there is still another season that surely MU must try to be able to play in it. True, it seems that this will be the end of Ronaldo's speculation because management and coaching have agreed that indeed he will not be sold now and will still be wearing a Manchester United shirt for next season.
I think this is a pretty good choice for United because indeed they also clearly need Ronaldo at the moment and it looks like Ten Hag is now starting to use Ronaldo to make United stronger in attack.

I wouldn't be completely sure it's just because he wants to play in the Champions League, but there's another problem that makes Ronaldo want to leave Manchester United and that's because Manchester haven't had good maneuvers in the transfer window so far.

He among the world best players, and he probably want to participate in the upcoming Champion League competition. While, United ended last season at the 6th place on the standings, and couldn't make it to the top 4. But, they don't seem ready to sign Ronaldo out. However, Manchester United who failed to extend Pogba's contract, and lost him to Juventus can't afford to also lost Ronaldo. Maguire had a very bad season, Manchester United squad were not at their best last season and it was clear on Maguire performance. It could be Erik Ten Hag doesn’t see Harry Maguire as a bad player after all. Maguire’s been suppressed by the pressure of the team not being in good form and as the captain it is normal to feel the pressure on you. It really not easy having everyone turning to you when things go bad, that is a lot of pressure but hopefully Erik Ten Hag will revive the team and we will see Harry Maguire play better next season.

Yeah United and ten Hag wants to keep him but he is not convinced with the squad right now. Well they are trying to find some signings but they always waste time doing negotiations like they are doing right now. I don't know why but I have the feeling that he is gonna stay but yeah no CL for Ronaldo this season is also one thing.

The thing why I don't find this normal is because its only been one year at club and he is leaving. The amount of work that was put up to bring Ronaldo has just become waste. He accepted United knowing the fact they needed him and now he is just turning his back from the situation after one year.
