I think they know they are not a contender this season. They may aim at top four which is still very hard to finish for Chelsea. This season Manchester City is better, Arsenal is better, Liverpool is again a contender, there is also Tottenham and Manchester United so Chelsea may not see top places. They may save some money and be prepared for next season for the championship. It's impossible for them to win anything this year.

Looks doubt with Chelsea can finish on top fourth position standing in this season depending with many player as their transfer target failed to get, but still have new recruitment with Koulibaly and Raheem Sterling could give strong reason for Chelsea get their top fourth position standing on Primer League. How ever window transfer still open long and Chelsea have time preparing for next transfer player, actually after leaving by Roman Abramovich many player not really interested to play for Chelsea.

Next Primer League season I think Manchester City, Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are list and candidate can finish on top fourth but depending how long keep consistent actually with Arsenal, not really consistent when Primer League almost ended make them failed reach top fourth position standing last season.

I don't want to go too far in predicting the score that will occur in the match between Liverpool vs Manchester City later.
If you say Liverpool's defeat to Manchester United in a friendly it's possible for Liverpool to lose to Manchester City too, I don't think so. Yes City are seeded but looking at these odds City's chances of winning are not big I can say only 55-45 or 60-40

3-0 for City is too many I think, I do agree that city has more chance of winning the match but Liverpool will give a good fight. Their last pre-season match vs Leipzig showed that their play has improved a lot. Nunez score 4 goals (1 from PK), but seems like he has adapted. So, the match will be a very interesting match, I still bet on Man City tho, but it will most likely 1-0 or 2-0 if Man City play really good.

Totally agree, because the strategy built by Chelsea clearly still has shortcomings so I see there are many things Chelsea still need to improve at this point before it's too late because Chelsea need more good players for next season to be able to compete with their opponents who already much stronger than Chelsea now.

It is not possible for Chelsea to win trophies this season because their squad are not very strong like some of the club we have.  Arsenal have really in improved looking from their game in the preseason match , if time is not taking Arsenal may even take over the position of Liverpool in the next season. Now the new rumours say that Manchester City might be likely to give up on the Cucurella transfer until next season. They can go for Alex Grimaldo or Borna Sosa instead. I don't know why they are backing up from signing Cucurella now. They don't have any money related problem and Cucurella is a much better player than the other candidates. I would expect them to go for him until finishing the deal.

Well, I will not be in a hurry to conclude that Liverpool will let go in the FA cup game because these two were bitter rivals last season and still are. Even if one would say they suffered a huge loss to Man United because it was a friendly so anything can go, I think Jurgen will not allow his side to suffer such loss.
 Agreed, the new players have not  found their feet so it's normal for there to be flops, but in tomorrow's game, I am certain there will be tight defense on Liverpool's end.

I feel that Chelsea new owner’s arrival hasn’t helped them, because first they allowed Rudiger to leave and then sent Lukaku out on loan and none of their main transfer targets have arrived, hence Tuchel will be very lucky if he can get this team to secure one of the top 4 spots. Furthermore I thought that Tottenham are better equipped to beat Liverpool for the second spot, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Liverpool ended on the 4th spot too.

Yes, I also think that Chelsea are not strong for the new season because they have lost players and have not looked for replacements quickly. But even though Chelsea will not be in the title race for next season, I still believe that at least Chelsea can still compete for the top rank at least in the top 6. Regarding Arsenal, they got a change for the better if we consider from this pre-season game but unfortunately, Arsenal are not alone as a team that has made improvements because there are other teams like Manchester United for example. So still, for two positions in 3 and 4 it will be a fierce competition for many teams because for 1 and 2 I believe Manchester City and Liverpool will still dominate.

You don't say just because Manchester United won Liverpool 4-1 in a friendly game means they are not good or are going to struggle, it has nothing to how there premier League season is going to be, or that Manchester city will win them 3-0, I don't think Liverpool Wil perform poorly, I know they lose a very good player in sadio mane but they still bring in good replacement,they brought a very good striker in Darwin Nines and also Cavarho from Fulham let's not forget they still got Luis Diaz in that left wing spot so I think they can cope well.

I don't think Liverpool will be very different later if you really know how Klopp has handled the team well in the last few seasons. Friendly matches cannot be used as an excuse as to why you should say they are not well organised, it is not a game they need to win because it is more likely to be a testing ground for their new players.

I'm sure Liverpool will stay well even without some of the players who have left them this summer. Klopp knows how to handle this team well and of course you will probably see a good performance from them.

Chelsea new owners have also budgeted sufficient funds for Tuchel to buy players in this summer window. However, as we can see, Chelsea target players prefer to join other clubs rather than accept their offers. Maybe losing Lukaku is not a big problem for Chelsea because last season Lukaku also did not make a big contribution to Chelsea. Maybe from my observation Arsenal will be better than Chelsea next season, I doubt Chelsea will be able to maintain 3rd place next season, I am more optimistic that Arsenal will be a surprise team to occupy fourth place next season. Arteta has built a strong enough foundation from season to season, we can see developments in terms of transfers that Arsenal did this summer.
