Finally after big press Manchester City found equalizer. Julian Alvarez scored his first goal in his first game. It was a clear goal but we waited two minutes for offside check in VAR. This should've been faster. Manchester City is the better side but they should find winning goal in normal time. İlkay Gündoğan finally comes in, he'd have higher chance to create something for Haaland. Liverpool closed down a lot. We may see extra time and maybe penalties as well.

And it's true that Manchester City finally broke the deadlock in this match where Alvarez scored. But unfortunately the draw did not last long because Liverpool were awarded a penalty which was well converted into a goal by Salah. Liverpool are ahead again, it's 2-1 and here I think they will secure the win.

The comparison is definitely between the two of them in the game and Nunez who was criticized before the game and had a lesser playing time had an instant effect on the Liverpool side. Looks like Real Madrid are not yet done with signing in the transfer Window as they have included Fabián Ruiz to the club. Their coach, Carlo Ancelotti won't hesitate to bring him over to the club as he's one big fan of the midfielder. The player declined Napoli current contracts with him as he seems no longer interested in the club and looks for a new team elsewhere. Pogba's performance with Manchester United was poor. I believe Christian Eriksen will perform better than Pogba at least with the Manchester United squad. But unless he is badly injured. Christian Eriksen is a good enough player. But if we can't maintain fitness, we won't get better performance from Eriksen. First of all he should maintain his fitness.

I don't really agree to say he was bad at United, he did play under form but that can't be said as bad either because his game is usually not very good and not bad either.
Actually, after Eriksen's tragedy some time ago, I regretted his decision to continue playing football, but he did manage to do that last season.
At the moment I think Eriksen is still quite good and can be used as a pedestal in midfield.

It's quite nice to see arsenal can close the pre-season journey with a big win today after defeating sevilla, arsenal pre-season journey this season has gone quite sweet because from 7 matches they were able to win 6 times and lose 1 time, I hope, arsenal positive trend in pre-season they can maintain until Later the real matches in the European leagues and leagues will run, although there are still a few shortcomings in Arsenal game, but as a true Arsenal fan I am quite optimistic that next season Arsenal will talk a lot in the English league competition.

I don't know where to talk about Liverpool's big win for the 2022 Community Shield final. But since both teams are Premier League teams, I think it's worth talking about it here.

I think this is the reason why I have supported Liverpool this season as the main candidate for the Premier League title over Manchester City. Liverpool can do a lot and convince me more because I think Klopp can handle it, that's the great thing about them because he manages his players well every season. Of course I congratulate the party, Nunez did well in this match and this is the right way for him to prove that the price is worth it.

A last minute goal but yeah atleast he scored and its always good to kick the season off with a goal. Liverpool is just as consistent as the previous season and City is looking abit sloppy but Pep definitely knows what to patch up on squad after this match. Taking out De Bruyne at 73' minutes and this is probably the downfall for City, He was doing alot for the team though

Very well said senior man. I viewed the finals and was pleased with the football and the outcome of the match. First I will first say that Salah has so much influence in the Liverpool team and he is a very fantastic player. I also have to comment about the Liverpool team as a whole, they are so complete and calm. The Mane effect was not felt in the match as Diaz was there in full.

Nunez has gotten his confidence in the Liverpool team, the coach is now confident of him and also the fans. Though he was not well into the team, but when he was brought, the fans cheered him up which gave him the composure to be well involved in the last two goals.
For Manchester City, let me reserve my comments.

Haaland is new to the league so he is gonna take time to adjust but he does need to start showing in PL after sometime because he is the one at the position and his job is to score goals for the team. Glad to see Alvarez opening his account for City in this game against Liverpool. City have made great signings and honestly I really see a potential in them. It might not pay off that quick but they will become strong with those player after they grab on experiences.

I don't watch the game, only the text broadcast, but in my opinion Liverpool are still undervalued and betting on them even now looks like the right decision. Hopefully the outcome of this game will be a cold shower for City and a good start to the season in England.

As for Haaland, such an opening would be a big blow to his psyche - I saw that he missed from 100% situations and I see that after the end of the match there was a stream of mocking memes about him.

Haaland debut was not as expected but he needs to adjust in teamwork at a new club, but Nunez debut has made klopp proud for his final goal with an absolute win for Liverpool. The collaboration between Nunez and Salah in the top line will signal a goal threat for each opposing team.

Unfortunately for Manchester City, instead of trying to score an equalizer after Liverpool led 2-1 but they conceded another goal from Nunez in the 90+4 minute. I have to say Liverpool played better and Salah's penalty has made their spirits even better. Congratulations on their win, it was the first title of the season for Nunez and his team-mates.

Unfortunately Haaland did not score in this match even though he played from the first half. Pep may need to evaluate his team's defense and fix it in the next game. I don't think it's bad, but it's a good result for Liverpool. Before the Premier League officially starts, I hope Manchester City have a way to improve their defense and attacking aggression. Especially Haaland, he has to try to be the best this season.

Liverpool's attempted kick lead by 1 more but City's Shot on target is superior. Statistically they are quite balanced but mentally City faltered at the end of the second half and disaster came when the Penalty was there.
This leaves them a bit loose and obviously this is something that needs to be fixed.
In the end I congratulate Liverpool for the umpteenth time.

Haaland played poorly and Nunez played well, as a result, Liverpool won. Of course, I'm exaggerating, it was like comparing new acquiring of the teams, but in general the match was equal, and the penalty at the end of the match influenced the final outcome. A good start to the season for Liverpool, Mane's absence was not felt at all. Maybe this victory will be a harbinger of Liverpool dominance in the Premier League, they have all for this.

I haven't seen any Community Shield thread so I'm going to share my opinion here. Firstly, it was really wonderful to watch this clash. I have realized that I really missed the Premier League football a lot.    It was really hard to predict the result but I must admit that Liverpool's getting a very clear win made me surprised a little. I would expect Manchester City to be more challenging. Haaland and Nunez had their first appearances here and Nunez scored a goal as well. Congrats to Liverpool on their win by 3-1!
