Liverpool are offering Jones' a year contract extension and soon to Firmino, why was it so hard to do so for Sadio Mane. ?! I guess even fans accept that they can't compete for championship this season, sure fighting for Top 4 means lowering expectations pretty much but the reality is here.
I'm not sure how long Newcastle United get those wins and stay in Top 4 but other competitors unlikely to fail big time. There are plenty of games though, after WC break things may change for every team. I just don't see Liverpool to recover and join championship race at this point, unless they get something like fifteen matches win in a row.
