History cannot be repeated, what happened today Manchester City is better than Liverpool. Liverpool's defeat to Manchester City will be a big lesson for Klopp, his team is currently not strong enough to compete at the top. The transfer market can be used to build a team, at least being able to finish fourth is good enough for Liverpool this season. Last night's match was quite tough, the two teams attacked each other and drew with the same score 2 - 2 but Man City's decisive goal was scored by Nathan Ake in the 58th minute taking advantage of an assist from Kevin De Bruyne while changing the scoreboard to 3 - 2 until the last minute. Jurgen Klopp was hit hard by this result, Liverpool still can't match Man City this season, homework is getting harder to face other strong teams in the EPL.

Although last night's match was quite tough, in terms of the game. it is very clear, Liverpool is having a hard time keeping up with the game from Manchester City. I think this defeat can be a very meaningful lesson for Jurgen Klopp, for him to improve in the future. the course of the match, The Citizen completely dominated the game. in fact they had a lot of chances, based on existing statistics, City had 18 shots, 9 of which were on target and 6 shots off target.

let's compare with what Liverpool has, they only had 7 shots, 2 of which were on target and 4 shots off target. on the other hand, Liverpool experienced some progress even though they had to be beaten by Manchester City. Liverpool still looks weak in the midfield, especially Stefan Bajcetic and Harvey Elliott. and again, Jurgen Klopp cannot rely solely on Darwin Nunez, whose performance is not showing any better.

there is still time, at least Liverpool can still bring in some newcomers in the upcoming January transfer window. Like it or not, Klopp must bring his troops to finish in the top four of the Premier League. if not, I'm sure Klopp's career with The Red will be over.

With man city win yesterday the cup will be now one of their main objectives, they eliminated two of the contenders in two games which will make it easier for them i doubt the remaining teams will be able to stop them and am saying it after seeing how good they played yesterday despite the small win i think they were much better than liverpool.

of course manchester city is better than liverpool because i have hope also manchester city apart from winning the EFL cup, at least they also won the EPL and the Champions League this season because i saw the development of how to play manchester city which was pretty good yesterday beating liverpool

I don't agree with your assumption, every competition they participate in should be important and also a priority. It's true that the EFL Cup isn't bigger than the Premier League and Champions League, but that doesn't mean these competitions aren't important to win. To be honest, I don't really like that kind of assumption when big team seem to lose to qualify for the quarter-finals.

The defeat to Manchester City proved that the current Liverpool squad is very difficult to compete with. I have seen Klopp rotate his formation several times but the results are still not satisfactory. If Liverpool targets to finish in the Champions League zone, then they must bring in several new players. Klopp must realize that the "golden era" of The Reds is over, some of his mainstay players in the past few seasons have started to decline.

Jurgen Klopp seems to be focusing on the Champions League Zone not focusing on the championship, because the point difference which is very far from the top of the standings has made that hope disappear, The Reds' golden age has indeed ended after Mane's departure to Bayern Münche, it is very clear that the difficulties of their attackers are  is no longer young like M. This week can be an opportunity for Tottenham to take back the third position from Newcastle as well. Because Newcastle don't have an easy task to perform. They are going to play against Leicester away. We all have seen how much Leicester started to improve their performance recently. While they are on rise they wouldn't give in against Newcastle that easy.

Newcastle are of course in a wonderful condition but we will see if they will be able to show the same quality performance as of now as well. They would surely stumble at a point after a great winning streak. Maybe it could be this game.

I don't see Newcastle dropping points anytime soon because with the kind of players they have and the kind of team spirit in the camp at the moment,their main target is to remain in the top four or better still,win the premier league.Anything is possible in football,they might be waiting for just a slide from Arsenal to close up the gap they have between them,Manchester city and Arsenal.
Although I know this will be impossible to do but we can't just rule it out,whereas Tothenham are behind Newcastle and want to overtake them by all means,but with the way I'm seeing things the season, Newcastle might finish above Totthenham,Liverpool,and Chelsea.

I didn't watch this match, but if you look at the statistical records in the match, it looks like Manchester City are playing better than Liverpool.
Regarding the trophies that will be won by Manchester City, they have the opportunity to get 3 trophies this season, especially in the EFL they are the biggest favorites to become champions, followed by Manchester United below them. This is one of their opportunities to get that achievement.

Newcastle's performances this season have surprised everyone. No one expected this team to finish third in the points table. And perhaps only one match they have lost this season. There is no star player in the team. However, their players are consistently performing well. The bonding between the players is very strong. This is why they have been able to maintain consistency.
Newcastle is aiming for a top-four finish. I think they will try to strengthen their squad in the winter transfer. As they now have a lot of money, and their performance is now much more stable compared to previous seasons. So they will probably try to add the now talented star players to the squad.

Glad to see that EPL is coming back again after carabao cup. It seems like that some matches like aston villa vs liverpool and arsenal vs west ham were so easy to predict which team that will be winning the match. That's easy points for arsenal.
West ham was on the 16th position and arsenal can win easily against west ham. I just wanna see how good the performance from arsenal against west ham once arsenal will be playing without gabriel jesus as a striker.

Every trophy is important for every club irrespective of the pedigree of the competition. They all field in players to participate and win them to boost the club Trophy cabinet. I watch the Liverpool game and they actually played well. But the Midfield is weak and has been all season. With no great defensive cover, the defense has been very naked and also in the attack, they’re lacking the cutting edge. Klopp really need to fix the team and avoid conceding unnecessary goals.

Maybe Leicester have started to make progress in the Premier League by their recent results. However their next match is going to be a quite tough one. The opponent is Newcastle and we have all witnessed how strong they have been no matter what their matches have been against similar level of teams or bigger teams. We have had a long break to the leagues of course and we never know how the teams in the league will be returning by the first matches. But I still hope to see a competitive match between Leicester and Newcastle.

If you look at Leicester's last five matches you can see that they conceded only one goal. It was against Manchester City and their only loss in the meantime. As they have made a big improvement in defense I think they have the strength to get at least one point against Newcastle and stop their winning streak at the same time.

I can say Ten Hag is doing a great job so far by putting the team together but looking at the big clubs that are coming for Rashford, Manchester United will be in big trouble when the January window when it opens. They can only hope Rashford will decide to remain loyal to United or accept a big money move to PSG to play with the best players in the world which every other player dreams of. The depth of Manchester City's squad can really be relied on, they have successfully carried out the role as a substitute. Phil Foden and Joao Cancelo started off the bench, as they were not yet in their prime condition. Erling Haaland, Riyad Mahrez and Nathan Ake managed to score one goal each for Manchester City's victory, while De Bruyne managed to provide two assists in the victory.

Liverpool did not perform optimally, Darwin Nunez did not show his best quality, while Fabio Carvalho and Mohamed Salah managed to equalize, but in the 58th minute Nathan Ake managed to score one goal while bringing Manchester City to victory and get full points.

Of all the players who competed, my eyes were only on Kevin De Bruyne, he is a genius who knows when to cross for his teammates to score goals, his role is so important that he is always the first choice for Pep Guardiola. And the results Man City got were very decent and for Liverpool it looks like Jurgen Kloop will be a little dizzy with the performance of his team.

I noticed some great problems with the Manchester City team against Liverpool, which they did not have before the World Cup. They showed great performance to football fans. Hopefully, from this match, the coach of the Manchester City team will find some great problems and fix them to prepare for the next match.

Yesterday in the match it was clear that this tournament was also interesting for Liverpool, they played the main team and the intrigue in the match was throughout the game, City took the lead twice, but Liverpool equalized the score twice (the second goal was becouse of Ortega's mistake), the third time to Liverpool it could not be repeated. Perhaps now it will be easier for Klopp, the fewer tournaments, the more attention they will be able to pay to the Premier League and the Champions League. Of course for Klopp the UCL zone is the minimum task, but now they are 7 points behind the UCL zone, this is a lot but Liverpool must cope with this task.

I have been watching whole game liverpool against manchester city. Liverpool was doing so well by scoring two goals but city has been doing better than liverpool by making the third goal from heading. That's why liverpool was not luck enough caused by the defender was wrongly calculate the pass that was really accurate to be headed by city's player. UCL is still very long. EPL will come soon but there will be some changes going to happen just like liverpool that may get new defender gvardiol as its new player.

Liverpool played well. It is just that the midfield and the defence was woeful. Honestly Klopp need to do a huge work on the back line failure. All 3 easy goals come from there. Klopp need to do something with Gomez and Robertson. You can't allow your opponent wingers beat you and go freely. Nunez got fantastic pace but need to go super crazy on shoot accuracy. He need to start writing that and he will be liverpool new era if he conqure it.

The team he built was specifically designed for his purposes, he has a formation and a system which is gegenpress and he perfected it and built a team around it which gave them a title and even one UCL which City doesn't even have even after 4 titles.

I think it's quite important to also note that whatever tactic you play with, eventually people figure it out and beat you with it. Every competition is important but a like Liverpool usually have their own competition priority, just the same like as most other big teams.
It is proven that most big teams wont use their main squad when they play on low priority competition such as EFL.
Most big teams use such competition to give opportunity for their young squad to play and at the same time to give rest for the main squad.
I dont think it is an assumption but it is a fact that you can see yourself in that competitions.
