I also think that Nunez has not yet said his last word at Liverpool and Klopp sees the potential of this player very well and with due diligence, the player should have even more progress in the playing field. at least Liverpool have improved in terms of players and they want Liverpool to have the glory it used to have and I would agree if Liverpool bring in an attacking player to side with Nunez because it doesn't seem to be completely healthy after the injury he had so he needs a replacement player or is able to temporarily replace Nunez.

With comeback of Jota, Diaz, Klopp will have more options than only relying on Nunez. They have some good attacking players who can support and replace with each other in different matches. It is not their most weakest hole in their squad so they must prioritize to buy players at other areas like midfield and defensive areas.

Whether Nunez will be able to play better in a new season, we can not say about that now. He already have one season to familiarize with Liverpool style and a next season will be a decisive one for his future in Liverpool. Just like i said before that front lines is not something urgent for Liverpool because they have at least 4 players on that position such as Moh Salah, Nunez, Gakpo and Diogo jota and about centre striker besides Nunez i think Jota also can be played on that position even so with Gakpo and Klopp has attempts to played these players as centre striker last seasob and the result is not quite bad so Liverpool has no lack of players for forward position
